Great audio card I choose to go this route instead of external because I go to LAN parties from time to time. It pushes my Sennheiser 58x and my Hifiman 4exx etc to their full potential with no issues clear clean sound works great with the software I wouldn’t use the windows software because it lacks some of the features to really give the card the adjustments you want. Overall I have no complaints at all. I has controllable rgb and has a side port if you want to attach the front case audio jacks to it.

This Sound Card sounds great. But if I'm going to be honest, in terms of sound quality, there is no significant difference in music sound quality between the onboard sound of my Asus Z490 motherboard and the New Audio. There is also no difference between sound quality in my external audio interface and this sound card. Nowadays, most audio chips sound great, and beyond a certain price point, it all sounds good.
However, the Nu Audio has a much more powerful amplifier then the onboard sound. It can fully drive all my audio gear and there doesn't seem to be any electrical interference from the graphics card. Also, the RGB looks cool! If you don't want to buy an external USB powered audio device to save space, then this card is great for that.
Installation was quite easy... But some things to consider. Make sure you get a SATA cable with 5 wires and preferably just connect straight to the PSU without any other devices on the line to reduce chances of electrical interference. If you don't see the RGB turn on when you power up your computer, then something is wrong.
Also, DOWNLOAD THE MOST RECENT DRIVERS. At the time of this writing, the version you should download is 2.1.14. EVGA's website isn't designed well, and it is easy to download the original version 1.2.3 driver from their website. They really need to fix that.

I have owned multiple kinds of soundcards. Xonar, Sound Blasters and finaly this one. I was using a BlasterX G5 and it is a great card but I have a pair of Audio Technica ath-m50x Monitor Headphones and felt like I was missing out of the full potential of these headphones and I picked this up and HUGE Difference! Sound more full. No distortion at all. Not geared just for gaming. You can tell when they made this car they had mainly music for the main use. But it great for gaming also. can hear footstep clearer and crisper and can tell the difference between a far away sound or closer. Also I normal do not review stuff I purchase but this card is slept on. Sound cards are a dying breed and people normal don't think of how much audio loss there is buy using on board audio and then They hear a true sound card with a Great DAC and hear sounds in song they have listened to millions of times and hear sounds they never heard before.

Finally a sound card that doesn't snap-crackle and pop like Creative! Solid components and great sound for an audiophile. I like the analog touch! The only thing I don't understand is needing extra power? Kinda like ASUS sound cards. I don't understand the power thing?

I went from a 40$ card to this card. The sound quality is amazing. I was running Windows 7 there was a glitch with the software eq. Also the card required an additional power source. Sata connection. Customer service was excellent

When my system would let me use this card it had great sound. I'm not a audiophile or anything like that but its improvement over my old Asus Xonar D2 which appears to lack official support for Windows 10. For some reason it would cause my system to just reboot, no error message of any kind. I figure it more my hardware then the card since most of my hardware is like a decade old

Uses analog DACs and having listened to songs and lossless audio, you really appreciate how good audio can be. Make sure when you install this device, you use a sata power cable directly from your PSU and not a molex sata connection. I think i installed this card three or more times trying to get it to work.

This product did exactly what I needed it to do. I was able to reduce latency on on-line jam site by 6 ms just by using this. Interface is easy to use and sound quality is fantastic. price is up there a bit but it is a solid tool with many options.

The good: Its true, the Nu audio card is superior than my on-board audio chip. All lossless audio sound much deeper/richer. My setup: Foobar2000 to NU L/R to HiFi home stereo system ($$$). Under $200, I strongly think its a reasonable purchase.
The bad: Hardware power issue - Couldn't use a molex, because the molex is incapable of transfering 3.3v. I didn't know this until I went to the EVGA NU Audio FAQ web page.
MP3 and other lossy audio file are just lost. Not even the NU Audio can help improve the sound.

Purchased this sound card to improve my quality of sound for gaming. It can handle headphones up to 600ohms. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to take the next step in audio for gaming/studio purposes. EVGA's software for this is spot on as well, living up to their name. There are many options and equalizer settings to dial in your experience exactly how you want it. Again, highly recommended and opens up the doors to run much better quality headphones/mics.

I was pretty skeptic about spending the additional money on a discrete sound card. I can honestly say that I'm glad I did. The software is phenomenal and the sound quality is great right off the bat. I can only assume it will get better as the components break in a bit more. That and the ability to amplify up to a 600ohm headset is a definite plus. The RGB functionality is minimal, but I run static red so it's all good.

This sound card blew me away with the clarity and detail in games and when listening to music. Make sure you have a high end pair of headphones so you can hear the difference, you will notice it if you do. If you are an audio or gaming enthusiast, I highly recommend this sound card.

Realtek drivers were a pain to deal with. This is a great upgrade for the price. I paid 149.99. I looked at buying exterior gear but the prices weren't comparable. It might not be the greatest sound you can buy, but I would argue it is the best sound at that price. Very solid sound. I power hd6xx and I cant turn volume all the way up without going deaf

I've been very happy so far with this card. I have it paired with Sennheiser HD800's and can take full advantage of this card with them.
Lossless music sounds fantastic, crisp and clear. I would highly recommend this over a USB Dac that can cost similar prices.
This does require a SATA power connector.
Also, the "clicking" noise is normal. :)

I knew this would have been a big jump in audio quality from Motherboard audio, but i honestly did not expect this level of detail and clarity, mainly because i mostly just game on my pc, well now no gaming PC will ever be complete without one of these.

I have built my desktop back in 2017 and used MoBo audio since with my audio Technica m50x and it was sufficient enough for me then. When my my MoBo went out, and I ordered a cheap MoBo and realized it did not have an amp to power the already low impedance headphones. Anyways, I always wanted a DAC or sound card because I can look into higher impedance headphones in the future and bought this. It claims it can support you to 600 but I take that with a grain of salt but I'm using the same cans and honestly it sounds amazing and the UI is very easy to use to create equalizer settings for the consumer. LEDs are nice plus.
