    Tech had garbage attitude...no help

    I explained to BB customer service that I purchased a machine from them...installed by their tech...and it doesn't work properly. It turns on and works for 30 seconds, but the console doesn't have feedback from the machine and it shuts off automatically (because it thinks its not in motion). So I have a brand new useless $2,000 elliptical. When I contacted BB customer service, I told the BB representative that I contacted the manufacturer who told me to identify a reed switch under the front panel and ensure it had been calibrated during setup (which would have happened during install testing by the tech originally). Its my fault for not standing over the installation the first time and making him prove to me it works before he left. My bad for trusting your employees to do a good job without supervision. I've learned from my mistake. Anyways...not a big deal (at first)...stuff happens and the customer service rep scheduled someone to help me get it fixed (I thought). BB sent the SAME guy out...who took 1 look and immediately said "Nope just stop here. I don't do maintenance". I'm upset that 1 - I tipped that tech $40 the first time he came to set up the machine...and when he came back, he had the most garbage attitude about the whole situation...refused to acknowledge any issue on BB end and said its not their problem. He offered zero help even after I felt like I had been an exceptional customer to HIM. 2- I understand he doesn't do maintenance...but its not my fault the BB customer service rep sent him back to me after I told them the manufacturer stated a reed switch needed to be calibrated to fix the issue. They could have sent the right type of tech out instead. And instead of the installer just contacting BB to meet me half way and reschedule the right person to help...he took a picture and left..and told me I could take the 200 pound machine back to a store to return it (super cool...im a 5ft tall woman...there's a reason I paid $240 plus $40 tip for someone to install it). This experience was so bad that I will not purchase anything from Best Buy in the future. No more appliances, machines, TVs, phones, games...nothing. If the manufacturer can't make it right then I will be contacting the credit card company to do a charge back for all my wasted money and time. You guys lost a long time customer.

    I assume this review is for the assembly of a new elliptical. The guys that did the hard work were so friendly, professional and quick. I'd use then again

    The gentleman who put my Schwinn Airdyne bike together was great. He knew what he was doing, was done in a timely manner and was very conscious and courteous regarding covid and taking precautions.

    No delivey/assembly after waiting for two weeks

    Tried for two weeks to have my spin cycle delivered and assembled. Purchased on line with the help of a live agent, including scheduling the delivery/assembly date. However, later that afternoon, I got a text saying that it was time to schedule my delivery. The first day I ignored because I know I had already done that, but I decided to search my email for a confirmation. I then went online and spoke to a live agent who apologized and together we scheduled the delivery/assembly, but the earliest time available was the following day. The next day, I had a new text message stating it was time to reschedule my delivery/assembly. This time I didn't hesitate to go online and have a live agent to call me. I didn't want to continue this cycle of rescheduling. This agent apologized for ten minutes and was able to schedule me for the same day and guaranteed that it would no longer be an issue. However, it occurred two times and when I saw that the earliest to be rescheduled for delivery was an extra week and the assembly four days after that, I went into the local store and talked to the Geek squad. they reviewed the messages and stated that she would have to cancel and redo my purchase. After canceling my order, when she was redoing the order, she said the item should get to my house the same day it stated online, but that geek squad was booked solid and couldn't do the installation until later. Two of the online technician had promised monetary compensation for my troubles, but when I asked if that was still offered, the technician stated that I need the name and phone number of the person who made the promise. I felt there was no integrity and definitely not a valued customer.

    I bought this as a Christmas give FOR my wife, she said she had always wanted a bike that she could ride on but she was too short so this will be PERFEC

    Well initially the installation was great, then we discovered two weeks later that a screw was missing as one pedal fell off. Now I need to contact the company to get a screw.

    Purchased a recumbent exercise bike in March. As a member of Best Buy’s total tech membership I originally chose to have the bike delivered and assembled. If I could give zero stars for the delivery/ assembly experience I would. When purchasing I chose an early morning time slot because of work schedules. I started getting texts from the company who was to do the delivery & assembly saying my item would be delivered between something like 4-7pm. I responded letting them know that this time would not work, we requested and needed a morning delivery/assembly do to our schedules. The people never responded to me, but continued to send reminders that are item would arrive in the afternoon/evening. My husband took half a day off to be home in the afternoon /evening for them to arrive. As we were nearing the very end of our delivery window I receive a call that they had to cancel our delivery/assembly appointment. I explained that this wasn’t acceptable as we had caved to their texts that we had an evening arrival, as opposed to morning as we requested, and my husband took half a day off work to be home. They then admitted that the individual who was to do our delivery/assembly had abruptly quit and they had no one else to send. Long story short, we ended up picking up the bike ourselves from our local Best Buy and my husband ended up doing the assembly himself. I really hope the people contracted to do our delivery/assembly never were paid because they did absolutely nothing. After this experience I’m not likely to renew our Total Tech Membership.

    Assembly was a bit overpriced. Love the bike. I would recommend getting the longer foot straps if you wear a size 13 or larger shoe.

    Useless Installation Service

    I purchased this product and paid for the delivery and installation service. When I went to try it for the first time, it didn’t work. It shuts off after 2 minutes and doesn’t register that I am using it. I called Best Buy and they connected me to someone in service. They walked me through an hour of trouble shooting asking me to open pieces with tools, take photos, etc. - eventually telling me a piece is broken. They need to send me a new piece. I asked how this happened when it’s brand new and they said I could install the piece myself, which is absurd because I paid for installation. They then said a tech could come install it but I couldn’t set that up until the piece arrives. 2 weeks later the piece arrives. I reach out for the tech and I am told the soonest appointment is 3 weeks out. That’s now 6 weeks with no ability to use the brand new product. So I call Best Buy again and speak to a rep that puts me on hold for 50 minutes before the call disconnects. I then call back a few days later and to ask them to just return this and either give me my money back or give me a brand new one that isn’t defective. They tell me it’s been past 14 days so I need to deal with it directly with the manufacturer. Best Buy is the WORST Buy. Buyer Beware.

    Worth every penny! The guys made it look simple - only took two of them about 30 minutes to unload it from their truck, assemble it, and have it ready to go!
