Definitely a niche movie, but good. The SFX are spectacular, the acting okay.

Hey get this movie ... I never watched it until now ... The 4k uhd movie really showcased my sony 65 900e and my sony sound bar and sony 4k uhd player ... Enjoy this movie and buy it ... Its a best buy

It's good movie if you wanna chill and have something to watch

Ridley Scott is one of the best directors who has ever lived with Alien, Thelma & Louise, Gladiator and Black Hawk Down just to scrape the surface of this multi-faceted filmmaker. He has a huge and wildly varied resume of films and his latest seems one of his most divisive and varied as of late. Exodus: Gods and Kings isn't his first foray into the sword-and-sandal biblical film (Heck, it isn't even his first sword-and-sandal epic) but this is one of his more interesting films, though far from his best. Visually its a feast with some great cinematography and epic CGI visuals, and some good performances, but other than that, it is fairly flat and was done better with Cecil B. DeMille's classic 1956 epic The Ten Commandments. This film is just too modern (Shot digitally didn't help matters either) to ever be a classic, with some weird casting choices and a screenplay with too many hands stirring the pot, but at least it isn't terrible like Left Behind. The PQ & AQ are outstanding with the 3D being truly awe-inspiring, with some of the best 3D in some time and the 7.1 DTS-HD soundtrack really being show-off worthy to everyone you see. And, as usual, the extras package is quite extensive (As per Scott's usually excellent home video release from LaserDisc on up to BluRay) with an awesome array of extras exclusive to the 3D release (The 2D release only has a few extras). Disc one is the 3D bluray sans extras, disc 2 (Or the only disc from the BluRay+Digital HD release) containing a commentary with Scott and co-writer Jeffrey Caine, deleted scenes in 2D and in 3D on the disc and a historical trivia track of sorts. Disc 3 contains a 2 1/2 documentary with 50 minutes of enhancement pods on this extra, some featurettes on pre-production, production and post-producion, trailers, tv spots and social media featurettes. Quite truly one of the best blurays of 2015, if one can only say the same about the film in 2014, but the extras more than make up for the price alone. Buy it now!!!

Good movie to wach with the family And grandkids To teach the grandkids not to forget about the God who is upon all gods! The God of miracles!!! Great movie!

This movie was something that blew me away with how it was put together and visuals. Completely worth it to ourchase this movie and watch it on the home big screen.

When I first heard about this movie I was not interested. I ended up seeing anyway and loved it. I'm happy to have this movie. It really is a great movie.

Although nothing can ever compete with the Cecil B. Demille original, this version truly entertains in typical Ridley Scott fashion, providing a spectacular visual experience via both the great special effects and fantastic action sequences while re-telling the classic story in a more concise version. My only complaint is Ridley's devotion to Sigourney Weaver - to provide her with cameo roles in this film and in 1492 (which us fans are still waiting for on blu ray) because she is so out of place for these period pieces that maybe it's time to forego this trend. ALIEN was a great film & Sigourney Weaver was fantastic in the series, but it just bothers me to see her pop up in something she doesn't belong in. Maybe next time she will help out by politely turning down the director's gesture.

i chose to buy this on 4k bluray because in my experience the more clarity makes watching the movie whether action or thriller so much better.

Great addition to my collection at a great price. For me, not quite good as The Ten Commandments but it’s another version of a great history.

This is a strong biblical portrayal of an important aspect in history. I truly enjoyed the movie and wanted the 4K version. Thanks

The New Exodus movie is portrayed as a modern day version of the Classic 10 Commandments. I liked it very much! What stood out in my mind is how the Miracles, Moses and His followers witnessed. There is a sizable contrast in how the special effects were produced between these two films: In short, The 10 commandments special effects were much more pronounced and unbelievable. Yet, in the traditional sense of what a classical Miracle might en tale, I suppose this is how the average audience might perceive it. Exodus, special effects of the so-called Miracle scenes was more subtle and therefore more believable- of what might have really transpired back in the days of Moses- or Legendary Biblical Times.

Love movies that pertain to the Bible especially that of Moses. This was an enjoyable movie and worthy to be in any collection.

I know the story of Moses and Exodus, so I had some expectations on seeing certain scenes. If you're expecting a remake of the Charlton Heston epic, this is not the film for you. I like the fact that it focused on different parts of the story than is usually told and was pleasantly surprised once I realized that. I don't expect many people will like this movie because they know the story inside and out. Don't judge it based on what you think it should be, just it based on its own merits. The characters are complex, the story is compelling and I would welcome delving into a debate on this take of the Exodus story.

I'm looking forward to watching this movie as soon as possible. It might take a couple of months.

The first time I saw this, I was left a little underwhelmed because I wasn't seeing Yul Brynner, Anne Baxter, Cedric Hardwicke, Vincent Price, Yyvonne Decarlo, Edward G. Robinson, et al, plus a real cast of thousands rather than computer graphics. But on the second viewing, I realized the need for a remake with less bombast. Todays technology works wonders. It can replicate anything; form dinosaurs to parting the red sea. But sometimes we want to see a good story that doesn't need four hours to tell. But can still tell it pretty well. Good job Ridley Scott and all concerned.
