When I first heard about Fallout 3 my jaw dropped because it looked so good. Now that it has finally arrived the question is, "Is it worth 60 dollars?" The simple answere is yes. The amazing graphics, the games attention to detail, and the game length. (Up to 100 hours of breath-taking content.) The gameplay is off the charts since buying it a week ago it has been the only game in my xbox and I am still learning more and more about the game. As a final statement I would reccomend to everyone that you should buy this game and play it and enjoy it.

Basically, this is Oblivion in the future

You would think the developers over at Bethesda would fix this glitch. For such an amazing game, the glitch of "getting stuck" has not been fixed. All versions (PC, PS3 and 360) have this problem. I caught myself saving almost every 5 minutes to failsafe against this glitch. You'll find yourself stuck at a random part of an area and will be UNABLE to jump/crouch/move out of that area. Your only option is to reset the game (making all progress you made without a save --- lost). Overall, the game is beautiful. The V.A.T.S. system is great if you want a nice visual presentation of how you kill/destroy a victim. I found just aiming and shooting to be more effective than hitting the right bumper to use the V.A.T.S. If you loved Oblivion, you'll love this game. Same premise but you're using guns and technology instead of swords and magic. Your decision making in conversations actually make a difference down the road in your future quests. Overall, the "stuck" glitch is a major problem and I hope a downloadable patch comes through soon. Very graphic and gory when it comes to violence, especially when you use the V.A.T.S. system. I think that little extra option for gameplay was put in so that people would not get the wrong idea that this was an RPG mixed in as a first-person shooter as well. Definitely well written game.

Probably best game I've ever played!

This game is very and should definately be bought if you are into RPG's or action games as it is both. The use of both real-time combat and VATS is both fun and effective. Map is HUGE you will never feel like you keep going through the same places as every location has unique looks and inhabitents. Only downside i've noticed is the awesome graphics sometimes don't let the ground load property and it looks like theres a hole in the ground, solved by leaving and coming back. This is a must have game!

Fans of Modern Warfare and Oblivion rejoice!

I have never played any of the previous Fallout games, but in comparison to the third installment, I'm sure there's no point in even going back to them. From the makers of Oblivion (which I personally believe to be one of the best rpgs ever), comes Fallout 3, a game about the devastation of war, love, hope, and most certainly violence. Set in the post apocalyptic wastes of Washington D.C, you will play as a guy or gal who has lived in an underground vault for his or her entire life and one day must leave to find their father who one day goes missing. The events from the birth of your character to the climatic ending are all chronicled in the 20 to maybe even 40 hours you will spend playing the game. On your journey, you will be equipped with a Pip-Boy, which is like a big iPhone that fits on your wrist with flashlight. In the game, you will have a wide selection of weapons from baseball bats to plasma gatling guns, even swords (for the Oblivion fans). With these weapons, you will find yourself mowing down mutants in a very bloody fashion (This game is not for young kids and immature adults). But not even the awesome head explosions can save a game's combat. Most enemies are very very fast and without your V.A.T.S targeting assistance, you will be wasting all your ammo. More negative aspects of the game are the character animations that are exactly like Oblivion (maybe even worse?). Compared to a fantastic game like Mass Effect who's facial animations were the most realistic I had ever seen, Fallout 3 just falls flat. But besides the robotic character animations, there is some true beauty in Fallout 3. If your bored with all the games you already have and are looking for something that will capture your interest for many hours, get Fallout 3. Good graphics or not, it's a great game.

This has to be one of if not the best game I have ever played. I just absolutely love this game. Awesome graphics, fantastic storyline. erir soundtrack, it doesn't miss a beat. The new add ons for the game improve it even further. No multiplayer though which is a shame, I could really get into wandering the Wasteland with a group of friends online.

If you like RPGs, then this is must own. The world of the DC wasteland is awesome. It envelops you and the game is extremely hard to put down. I've played through twice as both an evil character and as a good character. I have to say being evil is a little more fun. The only downfall is that I couldn't level up past level 20 and then after that the whole RPG element is kind of lost. Overall, though, Fallout 3 is a great game.

I really love this game's graphics, on HD it's literally stunning. How the game goes is really up to you: there are a ton of different ways to do things, side tasks, dialogue options, and decisions that affect you. You have karma, you can get addicted to things and can get radiation poisoning, and you make your own character. The game keeps you interested and I would recommend it to anyone that enjoys variety.

Very long gameplay that allows the player to make any choice he or she would like. There are some glitches, but if you look past them this game is an excellent RPG.

Storyline starts off great, voice acting is decent. Game flows well, though predictable but not in a bad way. Quests are fairly straight forward and not to difficult to figure out, but completing them is a worthwhile challenge. This is not just "Oblivion with guns." VATS is fun to use but you can play the game completely as a shooter. Worth adding to the collection and even upgrading to HD.

this is the most incredible game ever developed. this game lets you customize your own character and his name. you start off the game in vault 101, an underground shelter led by the overseer, the vaults version of the president. the people in the vault were taken refuge during the atomic acolapse of 2077. the world was at neuclear war and basically bombed the earth to death. anyway, when you reach the age of 18, you discover that your dad has escaped from the vault. you eventually flee the vault. once you escape the vault, you will arrive at the town of megaton, a strange town built arround an atomic bomb. Walk up to moriartys saloon. he will send you to galaxy news radio where you will find three dog. Battle your way through the subways to reach it. after talking to three dog, he makes a proposal. If you fix up my radio broadcast signal, i will tell you where your dad is. To fix it, you must retrieve the virgo lunar satellite dish in the museum of technology. to get it, you have to make your way through super mutants, ghouls, and mercenarys. repair the radio broadcast signal and three dog will send you to rivet city. this is all i will tell you about fallout 3. quit playing halo or cod and get fallout 3 NOW!!!!! greatest game you will ever play.

    Great game,although not for everyone

Fallout 3 is a giant leap forward in the action RPG genre, it is excellent. The graphics are excellent the landscape is very much alive, although anything that moves, moves awkwardly and not life-like but the overall visuals are stunning. The voice acting is very solid and the story is well structured with an OK ending. Oh,and V.A.T.S.(Vault-Tech Assisted Targeting System) is one of the most innovative and original pieces of gameplay mechanics I have ever seen. This is by no means a bad game, its not even close to being a bad game. But it's not for everyone. Because the game is so enormous it can seem like too much at sometimes. And also, every single mission in the game is very unique in it's own way but a few get really frustrating. I literally spent almost an entire hour underground in an abandoned, dark, and flooded vault 87 looking for a violin and getting killed by big crabs. Yeah, not that much fun. But other than frustrating missions this game is definitely worth the buy, it's not a must buy in my book but it's definitely worth it.

Definitely one of the best games on the 360!!! Name it... story, graphics, action... the only bad I can say about it... it's that maybe some times it gets a little bit long... it's a game for many many play hours... but you never feel them... oh you may consider get the version with the extension play maps..

First off, this is one heck of a game. I normally play FPS but I thought I would give this one a go. This game draws you into the world and the game play is very good. Just as in real life, in the game, you can make choices and they have consequences.

This game has absorbed my life. When you first start out it's a bit slow and frustrating due to your lack of skill and weapons, but once you get past that it's a blast. There is some much to do with the side quests and now with the DLC on XBL. If you want a game that you will get your 60 bucks from this is it.

This is one of the longest single player games for the xbox. Very good FPS/RPG/Survival game. There really isn't anything bad to say about this game. You will not be disappointed. And there are 3 DLCs on xbox live that are a must buy. And with the Broken Steel DLC you can play past the game's story ending.

I'm personally a sports game kind of guy. Every now and then I want to get immersed in a novel and feel like a character. I have bought a few games like that but they just haven't cut it. This one does, besides the main plot, all of the sub-plots keep me wanting to find out what is going to happen. Then there are the times when you can just wonder around the waste lands and find out what you are going to see. This is a game that comes out every 2-3 years for me, its one that really grabs my interest and makes me feel I'm in a post apocalyptic world. Its a game that even though I can only play for 1-3 hrs a week, I will end up finishing instead of buying something else, because its what I think about it while at work. Strong recommend for anyone that needs a break from every other type of x-box game out there. Oh, I'm not really a role-playing, fantasy person and you just don't get that feel from this game.

I really enjoyed this game. I have played it several times to finish all of the challenges. It has a huge map with a lot of different choices. I feel like you should be able to take over anyones home if you want to though. The not being able to sleep in an owned bed is annoying.

I have had this game for like 4 days and it is already the best game i have played in a long, long time. The story line is dependent on how you act and the missions you do. It is the best game released for Xbox so far. This is an RPG but does not play as one. Its amazing!!
