Farcry 4 continues the series and does it well. The story isn't as strong as 3 but it brings more thrills and excitement in 4. A few new weapons plus the awesome rideable Elephant and gyrocopter make this game a must play. The arena was a pretty fun side mini game that I kept going back to. You can get lost in the map with beautiful scenery as always. I recommend.

Very fun game on all platforms, however on PC it is very resource heavy. I built my own computer with a AMD 8350 8 core processor with 8gb of DDR3 1600mhz RAM and a EVGA Geforce GTX 660ti and the game is very sluggish on medium to high settings. If you have the graphics card to handle it, it is a very pretty and fun game.

This game has the solid mechanics that Far Cry 3 has; so people that liked Far Cry 3 would probably love Far Cry 4. A couple of neat additions to the game are the concept of bait, fortresses (tougher outposts) and adding several new weapons. The world of Kyrat looks breathtakingly amazing. The plantlife and wildlife seem alive in the game. For anyone that has played Far Cry 3, this would be a great sequel. For anyone that hasn't played Far Cry 3, you should play both 3 and 4.

I purchased far Cry 4 excited to get more of the excellent storyline and character development I experienced in Far Cry 3 but was instead presented with a pretty version of Far Cry 3 without much character development and a villain that wouldn't scare a fly. Voss was amazing and such a interesting character Pegan just isn't. It's like a bad spin off. The graphics are definitely better but beyond that it's just a good game not Great likes its predecessor.

So far if you are a PC user beware, changing key board and mouse binds may mean not being able to use a climbing rope. If you are stuck, set back to default settings and proceed. First time install includes a patch so be prepared. Now the good stuff, graphics are awesome, game play is similar to Far Cry 3 but they add some cool items and simplified the crafting menus. Riding an elephant to create some mayhem or dropping some bait to attract predators to create even more mayhem oh yea that is the stuff. So with out the bugs and such I think a 5 star would have been warranted. Oh yes the copter, a blast to fly and shoot from, allows getting around to be more fun. Still have to use Uplay but that is a minor issue. Oh and throwing knives, very nice. Watch the video settings, to much and you get some major lag at start up but it seems to smooth out as you go.

FC4 is pretty good , looks very nice , runS well on good hardware ( recommend gtx780/290x and up) ; but may be abit too much like its predecessor but with a few new twists . If you liked the FC3 , then FC4 should do you well also with some improvements. One important thing to note , is that FC4 will NOT run with Evga Precision running (and possibly MSI Afterburner) . This has been well documented at the forums and by Ubi . I personally had this problem running Evga Precision ( but FRAPS works fine for those just counting fps) . For those overclocking their vcards (like myself) , another 1/2 star off for Ubi not allowing us to run some graphics software . All in a all , a solid 31/2 stars for now .

It gives the reader an advance idea of what the game is about and how to interact with NPCs, how to craft items, and an overview of the game world.

I've always loved open world games and this is one of the best I've played. Plenty of action, outstanding graphics and very challenging. I'm not too far into it at this point but so far the unique weaponry options provides a wide variety to handle the various situations you will encounter. I have mainly played the single player mode to hone my skills before venturing into an online multiplayer game. I highly recommend this game to anyone looking for a game where you determine the outcome.

You have to master some (for me a bit annoying) skills such as rope climbing which I could do without, frankly. But the game graphics are outstanding as well as the 3D models. You will need a 960 generation GPU to play this in 4K mode, in HD mode (1080p) my 750 is very good after driver upgrades. I would categorize this as an adventure / travelogue / FPS which provides good value in comparison to cinema escapism.

If you played farcry 3, this is pretty much a DLC for It. Not that it's a bad thing. Controls run smoother, graphics are slightly more refined, and the weapon selection is much broader. Also, the humor in the game is much better. Even Pegan Min, the main antagonist, has some great oneliners, and is a bit more developed of a character than his counterpart in farcry 3.

I am very new to gaming, and I would not recommend this to anyone as their first game. I bought a few older games that are much simpler to use in order to learn how to play games. Not a bad idea and the old games cost under $10 each. Then once I learned how to play and moved up to Far Cry 3, then Far Cry 4, wow! What a difference in game quality in the new games. The newer games are awesome! You will not regret buying either Far Cry 3 or Far Cry 4.

Overall if you enjoy Farcry 3 You will enjoy this game aswell. That being said, its not as good as Farcry 3. The story is forgettable and the environment is much harder to navigate that you end up using the helicopter most of the time. The gunplay is still amazing and hunting is still there with animals ready to murder you. Its still worth checking out if your a fan of the series

Far Cry 4 is plenty of fun, big map, with an attention-grabbing major Campaign Mission and lots of Bonus Missions. Don't cheat yourself by not playing the Bonus Missions. On the negative side you may not like the game save methodically.

As with all Far Cry games, graphics are great, setting is pretty good, and game play is repetitive. I have always felt the first Far Cry was one of the best games ever with very little repetitive game play, and graphically, the second Far Cry set a bar that few games will ever surpass. This addition does nothing to change my mind about the first two games. However, it's worth playing if you are a Far Cry two and Far Cry three fan.

I also confirmed this with other reviews and the website, and there are many areas where it crashes, causing a reboot of the computer. Supposedly patches have fixed this, but I am one of the unlucky ones who got fairly far in the game, but now can't get past one certain area because after about 3 minutes or sometimes more, sometimes less, of shooting, dodging, etc, it crashes still. This would be a 5 if it weren't for the crashes....the game is a tremendously awesome sandbox and very engaging, it's just too bad there are still so many bugs

Far Cry 4 is essentially Far Cry 3 in a different location. If you were hoping, as I was, for the more open world experience that was found in Far Cry 2, you won't find it here. That's not saying it isn't a fun game, it just doesn't compete with Far Cry 2. In that game, everything was open world, even the main story line missions. Far Cry 3 and now Far Cry 4 have an open world, yes, but the main missions are mostly linear and restrictive. Once those are out of the way, there is plenty of fun to be had in the open world areas of the game, it's just a lost opportunity as far as I'm concerned. With that in mind, I would still recommend the game to any FPS fan.
