Based on the gameplay videos before purchasing the game, I wasn't expecting too much different than Far Cry 4 but it has enough of a different twist with essentially the same familiar mechanics to make it a very interesting game. For one thing, it's more challenging in the sense that you need to use primitive weapons rather than just spray bullets to dispatch the enemy tribes and unfriendly animals. This requires more precise aiming and cunning to emerge unscathed. The plot and story are simple: complete missions for the Wenja tribe and try to increase their population where you'll come across some colorful characters who will reward you with upgraded weaponry and abilities. The game becomes more interesting as you get further along into the story. The graphics on the PS4 and XBOX ONE are both very good ( I have both versions) but the PS4 is a little bit sharper and I prefer the PS4's touchpad to call up the menus which you do fairly often to check the map, upgrade weapons, etc. The game's world is quite large with plenty to do and the lighting and shading are particularly impressive during the night cycles when entering the different camps with fires blazing away providing light for our primitive ancestors. There are more than enough of first-person shooters on the market if that's what you're looking for but for something a little bit different, I suggest giving Far Cry Primal a try!

If you loved far cry 4 you'll like primal. the mechanics are the same map is pretty much the same in terms of size. Lack of weapon variety makes things a bit stale,but for the setting its expected.

I've played all of the far cry games. All pretty darn good. Each time they make it better. But far cry primal goes in a different direction, in the prehistoric age. And it work perfectly, nothing like attacking a group if bad guys and sending your pet Saber tooth tiger after them, or a big scared bear. Still has the far cry elements like self heal, Upgrades, capturing bases and the thing they do best awesome story. So I give this a 9 out if ten . Fun game great graphics

This is by far my favorite Far Cry game! Video games studios are always using the same stories, weapons and characters expect this time it's something totally new and breathtaking! It's amazing what happens when someone has a pretty unique idea. You really have to strategize playing this game, you just can't pray and spray with spears and knives at your disposal. Buy this game, it's great!

I respect the developers and their desire to create something new to keep the series fresh, and in some ways Far Cry Primal did that. But, I have to admit, I missed the gun aspect of the gameplay, and going up on perches, and sniping enemies out before you take over an outpost. Some of the primitive weapons and stuff, kind of wear thin after a while. At least it did for me. I also preferred the stories from the previous two Far Cry games as well. Still worth playing if you like the series and want a little bit of a different flavor. Good game, worth buying!

Farcry Primal is the route to go when wanting an action packed adventure. Even if you have never played any of the previous Farcry games, Farcry Primal brings an epic new story line while still incorporating distinguishing aspects of previous Farcry games. If you are thinking about checking the game out, do it. You won't be let down.

I have played all the other Far Cry games and I thought this looked like a fun game. I was not wrong, this game is fantastic. Better than Far Cry 4. It's a little to easy to upgrade your weapons which makes the game too easy but that is typical for the Far Cry franchise.

This game is great, love the graphics and adventures. The primal animals are the best! I bought the Deluxe Edition, so it has added perks - glad that I did - it was worth it... You won't regret this purchase...

Far cry at its best. Great beautiful scenery good story and great combat it's fun being a caveman.

I love Far Cry games. They immerse you into these well crafted worlds and stories. This time around, you play as Takkar, a tribesman from Central Europe in 10,000 BC, trying to survive in the harsh environments, and working your way up through nature's food chain. Great, stunning Visuals, and high-in-adrenaline gameplay.

This game does a very nice job of exploring the B.C. era. At first I was not sure how enjoyable the game would be due to there being not guns or cars, but riding animals and fighting with clubs, spears, and bow and arrows is more than enough to make this game a whole lot of fun.

This game is very entertaining. There's something to be said about running around with wild beast and warring with other tribes. Graphics are great. The world is very immersive. A lot of playability.

The game is fun and definitely challenging on the harder level. But if you are into big world's and crafting your items it the game for you. Endless playing if you want to complete everything.

I was worried at first that this was just a reskin of Far Cry 4, yes it does borrow some from Far Cry 4 but they are alot of different elements that makes this really a great fun game to play.

Some may not like Far Cry Primal but I found it to be an awesome game. The way you get to run around in the caveman era and build your own village is just plain fun.
