I had never played a Far Cry game before, but liked the idea of the game set in prehistoric times. Very cool open world, pick your own mission style game. Easy to pick up for a short amount of time, or hours of play.

Love it. The 12000 BC setting is unique, gorgeous in graphics and also super fun to play like Far Cry 4. Crafting has been improved and new ways to craft items and tools and it just it well worth the purchase. 10 out of 10 would recommend

If you played any of the other Far Cry's then you should know that this one is like the older ones with new ideas. Great quality, game play is excellent and you can never really run out of things to do.

FarCry without guns?!?! You'd be surprised by how well it works. Primal is beautiful and fun. And you can make bombs that explode into bees. Bees that do your bidding. Bee bombs. Do it.

First major innovation to the series in long time

Far Cry Primal is becoming one of, if not my favorite iterations of the Far Cry series. I've been playing Far Cry since the beginning- lucky enough when the original came out to have a PC strong enough to play it, and while the standard "upgrades" throughout a series have occurred, (better graphics, larger worlds, overall "more") it's always been about a big sandbox with guns. Primal swaps out the guns for Stone Age fare, and it's a true breath of fresh air. There's more reason now to scavenge the world, not only for medicinal and "buff" plants, but you'll need wood and other materials to make your bow, club, and spears... As well as to replenish your ever-dwindling arrow supply. Flint and animal fat will allow you to create fire- necessary to light your way in the dark, fend off animals, and create campfires. The world itself is vibrantly alive, and it's easy to get caught up just watching events unfold. Within my first hour of play, I had witnessed a mammoth go to a riverbank to drink, only to be attacked by a just below the surface crocodile and a three person band of hunters whoop it up at first finding a bear, then see the tide turn as the bear tore them apart. These details are some of the real reason to get excited about this new generation of games. But, without today's technology (or the future's) being represented in-game, it might lead one to believe that spending countless hours in another Far Cry world might become tedious- with only Stone Age weaponry and travel available. To offset this, there's some great additions to play- a "hunter's eye" allows you to spot wounded prey or find things necessary to survival. You'll be able to tame animals to help you; as fighting companions, mounts, or, in the case of the owl, a bird's eye view to find things easier. Far Cry Primal is a great addition to the series, and one that has reinvigorated the franchise. Highly recommend!

This game is on par with the far cry series. The lack of weapons that people complain about is stuipd since there werent any back in that time period. The animals are alot of fun.

    Good Caveman Simulator, So-So Game

Up front honesty: this was my first Far Cry game. That being said, if you like Far Cry games and have played them all, you will probably enjoy Primal. I do not enjoy Far Cry games immensely, which I have determined after playing this. As a caveman simulator, Primal does well. It's gorgeous and feels authentic. But the gameplay is just boring after a little while. Clearing out camp after camp to turn red map icons friendly is an outdated gameplay model, and it outclassed by other newer sandbox formulas and mmos.

you should love Far Cry Primal. A lot of the same style of missions and gaming but set in caveman days. Lots of fun in open world and hours of missions, etc.

Great game! Ubisoft keeps re-reinventing themselves with the new version of the popular Far Cry. Lots of fun even after finishing all missions. Beautiful graphics full of details.

More skill and tactics are needed to finish this game, which is a fun change to mindlessly blasting enemies. Also beast taming is a great addition as well.

I was on the fence at first. A far cry with no guns or vehicles? Well, I'm glad to say the game turned out just fine and there is plenty to do and see. Must for any Far Cry fan.

I personally love this game! Is it flawless? No, but not many games these days are when they first come out. I have encountered some minor glitches and freezes (mainly after I come back to play when my PS4 had been in Rest Mode), but nothing too major. My only complaint is playing at night (in the game) as it is a bit challenging due to your surrounds and visual graphics being too dark and hard to see what is going on. I played around with the settings on my TV to accommodate, but didn't have much luck so I just end to just find a camp and sleep until dawn to avoid this.

I really loved this game. Its something different and fun even with mout guns. Hunting and taming the beast is the most fun part in the game. Buy it and you will love it.

This is a great game, can be played stealthily if you choose. It's a pretty challenging game at times, the wildlife pretty much hates you. But once you get the hang of things it's very fun, I love sneaking around with my bow. It has a great and varied cast of characters you'll meet. Overall I really enjoyed it, the story is fun and it looks great too.

No more guns. Go back in time with this game when you only had a gun, club and spear. Tame animals and hunt. It's like cabelas's hunting game mixed with turok.

Bought the game in hopes of another exciting action packed far cry adventure. First of all the game has great graphics and color and the animals look real but the gameplay is very boring and repetitive from one mission to the other. Lack of weapons gets old as all you really need to play the game is the bow. I found it really easy to kill the same guys over and over again. Not a bad game but not as exciting as farcry 4
