I bought this movie after watching some of it on tv and now I'm regretting it. The actors do a great job at making the film seem real and the Coen brothers do an even better job at directiing. Although the actors hit a home-run, the blu-ray quality did not. The entire picture was grainy from beginning to end and I had a hard time seeing what happened whenever the plot took place outside. The plot also begins slow and stays slow for most of the movie. My advice would be don't even waste any money on the blu-ray. If you like the plot and the movie itself, you're better off saving money and just buying it on DVD.

Great performances and witty dialogue raises this standard crime drama to greatness

'Fargo' is a delightful film, full of the typical great acting performances one comes to expect when seeing a Cohen Brothers' picture. Definitely some of their best work. Recommended. Widescreen and full-screen.

I saw this movie years ago, and then found it on sale at Best Buy.

Seeing as I live about 60 miles north of Fargo, I was not impressed with this movie. It gave us a bad rep. and what most people don't know is that it was shot in Minnesota, not North Dakota.

I live about 80 miles away from Fargo so I hate the reputation that this movie gave us. And this movie wasn't even filmed in North Dakota, it was filmed in Minnesota.
