Didn't see this movie when it came out in theaters. Didn't fall for the hype. Had discounts n such at best buy and this movie was new and on sale so decided to get it. Glad I did I really like the complicated love story developing which was actually sweet and didn't expect that!

I watched this movie in theaters because I read the book and am a huge fan. But I was disappointed with the movie. Being that I was a huge fan of the book, I bought the movie on blu ray and turned out this movie was better watching again. Plus, the alternate ending was a bonus. Luv it!

As a fan of the series, this movie did not disappoint. Was definitely a watered down version of the novel (as expected). However, had the movie gone head to head with novel, the movie wouldn't be sold at Best Buy. The moods and the looks was just how I'd imagine. Great romantic movie!

The movie was good, action, story line, etc, but doesn't follow the book as much as I wish they did. I feel some is being missed, which I thought would make the movie better.

Of course the ending throws you off but that is why you ALWAYS read the novel first! The acting was wonderful & the story line is just amazing. So much love for this trilogy!

I have now seen this movie 11 times. I can continue to watch it over and over again. It is a wonderful love story. I have read all 3 books twice and am looking forward to reading them again. Can't wait for installment 2 and 3. Once all three are out, I plan on owning all three movies.

Being a fan of the 50 shades books, I was hoping that the movie would hit home run, but it wasn't as good as I had hoped. Hopefully they do a better job creating the sequel.

This is the first chapter of a three part unusual love story. If your into romantic novels taking you to a different type of love story you should definitely watch the fifty shades trilogy. Don't judge until you've seen it. Try it. It might be fun.

This purchased wasn't for me but for my girlfriend. She enjoyed it, so I guess it was well received. I doubt I will ever watch it. The steelbook version was a nice touch.

My girlfriend really enjoys this movie after reading the books. From a male's perspective, it is not my cup of tea but unfortunately I was forced to watch it with her lol.

I love when movies are offered with blue ray and DVD however I lent out my DVD and never got it back so I used my rewards to purchase it again. I love rewards.

I bought this as a gift for my wife. I didn't read any of the books and thought the movie was good. She read all the books so she thought the movie could have been better.

I only wish I'd watched it on Redbox before I bought it. Sure it was cheaper in most places and it was a good movie if your into that type of stuff but it is a good movie

I read the book first and that helps fill in the good parts of the movie that are left out. The male lead needs more nudity. I am looking forward too the next two movies.

Great picture and acting throughout the entire movie. As always, the book was better and had more detail. I hated the way the movie just ended with not a lot of closure.

It was a good movie. It stuck mostly to the book. The only thing I didn't like was it left out, in my opinion, some of the important parts. But it was still pretty good

Purchased this for my wife on Mother's day since she couldn't see it in theatres. Not a movie that I would watch so I cant say if its good or not. But it made her happy.

Good movie. But I felt like something was missing. Hopefully the second movie 50 Shades Darker will be better. I would still recommend this movie if you read the books.

The movie was good. I wish the DVD had all the extra features the Blu-Ray DVD has, I feel left out not getting to see the alternate ending and some of the other things.

A lot of people don't care for this movie, but it's about the overall story not the "intimate" scenes. I loved the books and can't wait for the second movie! I was a little disappointed with the shipping. I didn't receive it on the 8th like promised but other than that great.
