Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the fun and engaging gameplay, finding the job system and variety of classes to be enjoyable aspects of Final Fantasy Explorers. However, some feel the story is lacking and the game can become repetitive, particularly when playing solo. The game's difficulty may also be a factor for some players.

I thought this game would be more like an MMO, it wasn't quite what I expected but can be fun at times and more so if you group with others. The gameplay itself is extremely repetitive, you basically go out and do the same types of kill quests over and over and they just increase in difficulty. The different abilities and jobs are kind of fun. I am a FF fan and this isn't bad for a 3DS entry. The other thing that I have noticed is it seems like the way the controls are setup it's not very comfortable, to hold and play for extended periods of time.

This is an absolutely great title! TRO and tons of Final Fantasy characters, give the player the ability to customize their appearance, team type and a slew of other options all while throwing in a dash of Monster Hunter for good measure and this seems to be an underrated gem, if you are a fan of old school Final Fantasy or the Monster Hunter series in general then you absolutely need to give this a spin!

It's a little slow at first, however, once missions get harder, it becomes very enjoyable. It's recommended to have knowledge of Final Fantasy to fully enjoy this title.

The game is really good as a final fantasy version of monster hunter. Kinda didn't like that missions cost gil. The comat took some time to get use too but interesting.

The combat is fun and it's pretty to look at but without any emphasis on a story it can feel like a bit tedious like you're going from point a to b like a puppet.

It's fun as long as there are more than 4 people playing with you. Soloing the game is boring and not worth the hassle.

I initially got this game to waste time but I had no idea how much time I'd actually sink into it. All the different jobs, all the hunts, all the groups playing different ways. It's fantastic. I highly recommend it, especially if you have the NEW 3DS, if you have the only one, make sure you have the Circle Pad Pro, you're gonna have a hard time other wise.

Not too thrilled with this game. It plays like Monster Hunter but has aspects from the final fantasy series. Good game just not my sort of collaboration.

It's a lot of fun. This game plays much more like Monster Hunter than a bonafide Final Fantasy experience. You'll get tons of quests in which you have to hunt monsters. The FF tie in lies in the normal FF tropes... chocobos, mithril, etc. Still, I highly recommend. I've logged 35 plus hours with plenty more gameplay to experience.

If you like a game that is a mix of Phantasy Star online and Monster hunter (without the learning curve) this is a very fun game, especially in multiplayer. The job choices are fun but the skill system is a little cumbersome, due to its customization.

    Final Monster Hunter

Its not quite Final Fantasy, nor is it Monster Hunter this blend is somewhat less than either of its influences. This game offers an expansive world, and series of quests that are locked around one town which makes it feel small. There is no sense of just going out and exploring and finding new lands. The controls are simpler, and more basic than Monster Hunter which is a nice addition to a newer player, but the graphics are duller and muddier which is disappointing. Final Fantasy Explorers knows the series fans are nostalgic so its great to build gear from previous entries in the series but just looking like Sephiroth does not mean you feel like you are playing as him. It is fun to farm the monsters to take on quests with you, and once leveled up they are a great addition to your "party". But there is not a whole lot that your party is going to do other than just hunt, as there is no story in this game by Final Fantasy standards. All this said it is not a bad game, just disappointing given its pedigree and source material. I hoped for more.

The game has features that are similar to features in Monster Hunter, but the game itself stands on its own. I've spent a good amount of time with it so far and it's been quite enjoyable. If you're looking for a game that you can pick up and grind on often, this is a good one.

I recently bought FInal Fantasy Explorers from Best Buy. It was a great game and worked just fine and I obtained it at a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend a purchase of this at Best Buy to my friends and family if they were looking for it.
