This expansion adds a lot of content to an MMO already full of plenty. The new campaign quests and raids make it a must-have for anyone who enjoys the base game.

The expansion for Final Fantasy 14, Heavensward is NOT recommended for new players or players who have not finished the original in-game story content. In order to access any of this content, Square-enix requires players to finish over 100 in-game story missions and cinematic cut scenes. AND on another note, it is a $14.99 monthly subscription to play and nearly EVERY 3 DAYS, there is a scheduled maintenance that lasts for 6 hours making it unavailable to play during that time.

Looks great if you have the PC to run it, tons of fun.

If you love Final Fantasy games and have the time available to invest, then FFXIV is a great choice. Few MMORPG's offer as fleshed out a story as this one. The gameplay is top notch as well. My only complaint is that it does take a significant amount of time to get into the Heavensward content if you're a new player. For convenience-sake, it would be nice if there was a way to speed up the process, as there are a ton of filler quests that seem very unnecessary.

This game is amazing. One of the best MMOs ever, it you like MMOs. I would highly recommend this expansion if you like the base game. Very good.

Fantastic Expan for FF14, if you havent played it you are missing out.

A wonderful game ruined by the questing system and other minor annoyances. 90% of the experience is a walking simulator through dozens and dozens of hours of college level text. It was great at first until you realize how complicated the plot is. Literally a novel. The rest is what you'd expect from an average theme park MMO. If it didn't drag on excruciatingly; I'd spend more time with it.
