The return of Final Fantasy has been long coming but it's easily worth the wait. The story is engrossing, the characters are interesting, and the new battle system is welcome change even for this turn based enthusiast. There are plenty of side quests and etc to keep you occupied if you don't want to push through to the end right away. This is the best Final Fantasy game in recent memory, check it out.

Preordered this game during summer and it was well worth the wait. Whether or not you have to played any final Fantasy before or not it doesn't matter, as you won't be missing out on anything nor is this game related to the others. I just beat the main story finally after putting 51 hours in and still have other quests to do. There will also be free dlc releases as well as paid by a $25 season pass.

They stopped all the auto fight garbage and allowed users to play the game with lots of side quests and activities to do

Got this on sale for $15, so no complaints so far. Never played a FF game before, but am enjoying this one.

As a long-time fan of this franchise, I was nervous about the decision to make it "open-world." Upon playing this game, the nervousness was justified, but moderated somewhat by the gameplay options. Basically, there is plenty to do and quite a few new things, in fact. However, the story is more choppy as a result and does not hold me as a player as much as previous entries in this franchise. Overall, it is worth buying, but I am glad I purchased it at a discount.
