Ive lived the Fire Emblem series ever since Awakening & while this one isnt as good as the Switch’s other FE game Three House its still a bery good game. Story is interesting, most characters are likable & of course the gameplay is very solid. If you are a Fire Emblem fan definitely pick this one up.

This game has a lot of different reviews online but for me the short and simple is, if you like the OG fire emblem games then you will love this one, it cuts out more of the fluff that three houses had and lets you get back into combat very quickly. Has replay value and great DLC.

One of the best visuals for the Fire Emblem series. Worth giving this game a try if you are new to the series.

Rosado is easily the best character in this game. But did you know that when you recruit Rosado all of prices in your shops increase? It’s true! Search “Rosado inflation” to learn more.

Engage feels like an amalgam of the more recent FE releases but not necessarily in a bad way. The story is thin and somewhat predictable but the gameplay is there. I expected to dislike the Engage system but it melds well with the classic gameplay. It is optional so if you dislike that it goes against classic FE games, don’t use it.

I thought FE Engage was a fun fire emblem game on console. I have put many hours into the game and enjoyed my time with it. I prefer the FE series on 3ds way more though. I don't have many complaints for the game, but would only recommend to FE fans.

Great gameplay and story; both of these factors are what keeps me intrigued and wanting to keep playing this game non-stop. The various heroes and villains are very interesting. I recommend other people to give this game a try.

Its been a fun game terms of gameplay so far but the characters don't stand out to me personality wise as much as previous FE games. 3H did a good job with designs, dialogues, supports and just general placement of characters in story meanwhile this one has none of that for me. The story for this game is typical FE so it's nothing crazy. I also don't like that they incorporated elements from FEH, the mobile game, into Engage. Keep those elements away from the main series. Coming from 3H though, it just hasnt been as enjoyable overall. The best part for me is honestly the rings of previous lords and seeing them again. I expected more but just personal opinion

I felt a little overwhelmed with everything that you could do at first but slowly started to get the hang of things. Story didn’t quite hit it for me but there’s so much more you can do that it more than made up for me.

If you like fe you’ll like this game. Slightly less story than three houses but an even better battle system. If the story is more important to you, youll want to stick to 3 houses.

The game play is easy to understand and i like that they keep casual and classic for players. The voice acting for this game is really good too, and the opening song is a bop. There are many classes to choose from and different combinations of teams, the DLC adds even more game play. The small down side is the game scales up to your strongest units so if you put two characters in master classes before the rest of the team is near 20 its harder to level none master classes, also their are so many units but sometimes you can only use 6-8 at a time so not everyone is worked on unless you really want to grind them. Anyways its nice to see a nod to old maps, games, and characters. All in all it's a good game. - Robert's daughter

As far as the story goes, its stupid. BUT, as far as the gameplay is concerned, its seriously some of the best on the series. I love being able to stagger enemies by hitting them with their weakness as it offers a whole new layer of strategy to the game (especially since the enemies can do the same to you). Its so much fun to play and I really hope the next FE game builds off this gameplay style even more. Its a shame this released so early in 2023 as I feel this game ended up getting buried and overshadowed by many other releases this year, but dont miss this one! Lets just hope the next game has a more ENGAGING story.

Another fun addition to the Fire Emblem universe. The use of emblems being a way to bring in old characters from all across the franchise is a lot of fun. The combat is great and works well with the story to make a fun experience all around.

Fire Emblem is up there in my top 3 favorite game franchises, and I am glad to say that this game does not disappoint. Might be the best Fire Emblem game I've played so far, and I have played about 5 others in the series. Although the story is unremarkable, the gameplay is excellent. It is honestly hard to put the game down once you start playing.
Also, while the visuals of Three Houses were sadly somehow almost PS2 levels, the visuals of this entry are amazing. This is the best looking game I have played so far on the Switch. And I love the character designs, although not everyone agrees with me.
