sunk a lot of hours into this one....so many resets

Box came damaged - expected of Best Buy Good product, specifically for the cartridge. The quality on the carrying pouch was a bit off a letdown - but hey, who am I to complain considering its free. Art book was nice, but that too had low printing quality.

This is the version to get. It has all three story paths in one single cartridge, an artbook, and a system carrying pouch. The hardcover artbook is filled with various pieces of concept art and sketches. The 3DS pouch is a nifty little add-on as well that boasts the Special Edition box art.

I have been reading up on the game since before the JP release, and what I have heard has left me excited for Feb. I loved Awakening, and I saw it as a great new iteration of the series that I still play every so often today. Fates takes some of what was done well in Awakening and improves it. The gameplay is a huge step up, with new features, more balanced difficulty scaling for at least the Conquest route, and more varied objectives; overall great, some of the best in the series. Unfortunately, the story is not so amazing. Two of the three routes have issues ranging from small to glaring when it comes to story, but any more specifics would be spoilers. Some people may have problems with some of the more controversial features introduced in this game, but it is up to the localization to see how much of those filter through to here. Fire Emblem Fates has its flaws, but so does everything else, it's to be expected. The main thing is that while those looking for an amazing story may be slightly disappointed (or not, who knows?), those who want fun gameplay that presents an entertaining challenge will not be. It is a solid addition to the series that I would readily recommend.

I got this item on Best Buy (eBay), but I'm going to leave a review just cause. This is the game that everyone should buy! Since it includes all the games on one single cartridge it is super convenient. The game is really loooong, so it's well worth it. It is just amazing... oh and the music is ultra-amazing.

Fire Emblem series is one of the best I have ever played and this one does not let me down one bit. Will have playing for along time!

Fire Emblem has been the best turn based strategy RPG's ever since I was introduced to Awakening. The characters, the dialogue, the music, everything absolutely blends well. I was already excited for Fates and my hype levels were off the charts as soon as the Special Edition was announced. Of course my silly self thought it would be around for pre-order but man was I wrong. This SE sold out like hot cakes!! I had to go to Nintendo NYC to pick one up and haven't regretted shelling out $30 more than I would have spent on Best Buy for the content this Edition brings. The pouch is nice even though it could have used a different design instead of the boxart and the book has only a little bit of artwork that's really nice but made me wish I had more concept art to look at and finally the game having both sides of the story and the first DLC piece on one cartridge makes it convenient to have so much content to look forward to and DLC will still continue so it won't stop after this! Do not miss out on this whatsoever. I will always look forward to the next Fire Emblem title, and hopefully they bring a version for the NX. Next time Nintendo, please print more copies of Special Editions!

It includes all three paths in a single cartridge while is better for your system memory. It is a must for any Fire Emblem fan.

This item is a great value for what I comes with. Hopefully more stock is on the way

The Fire Emblem Fates special edition is the best bundle nintendo has released in a while. Not only are both games included, but you also get the third path "Revelation", an art book, and a really cool 3DS cloth case. The price point is great too!

Great special edition pack. Only version of the game with all three games on the cartridge.

I love this game but i would gave it a 9/10 because it is a pain to level up on three different paths other than that it was awesome you have 3 different outcomes and it feels like a pokemon game but better in that you can only have one set of characters in 2 of the three games and some in all three paths. Which ever path you choose to follow has major impact in what happens from start to finish. Play birthright then conquest and revelation in order to get the full experience in my opinion.

Very limited. Cloth pouch is good quality, but wouldn't be good to use as a permanent carrying case. Artbook is smaller, but has a lot of cool artwork inside. All 3 games come in one box and on one cartridge.

This is the best copy to get because it has all three versions of the game on one cartridge. Means I can lend the game to a friend and they have all the needed DLC to complete three games.

It's worth the purchase if you can find it anywhere. It includes all 3 paths. A must for me because I'm a fire emblem fan.

Fire Emblem Fates, either Birthright or Conquest, is a fantastic strategy RPG with the same deep strategic combat the series is known for with some exciting new features.

It seems like this franchise has taken bent towards a particular gamer demographic. A bit of a turn off for me. I enjoyed Awakening more but glad I was lucky enough to get a Special Edition copy. For me, the SE isn't worth the hype. Great if you snagged one but IMO not worth the going rate on auction market.

I don't generally get the Collector's Editions of video games but this one was definitely worth it.

The game is okay but after playing it I'm left with this really Meh feeling, I think I liked other games in the series more then this one, but its okay

It's better than Fire Emblem Awakening, but I just didn't care for it. Too much dating game stuff in the game.
