This game allows you to be a Pro-Wrestler and rewards you based on how well your performance is. This is a very different and interesting concept from most other wrestling games where you are competing as you would in conventional fighting games. Although wrestling is highly physical and violent, it is a show, and in this game that is how you approach the matches. The game has various modes and wrestlers (mainly from NJPW, a real-life professional league from Japan) and a very good tutorial mode which had me memorizing different maneuvers and holds very quickly. Gameplay is centered around timing your grapples. In the beginning, it may frustrate you, but once you get the hang of this, everything else opens up. The game also features a edit mode that allows you to create your own wrestlers, championship titles, ring aprons and more. If you love spending time making your own creations in games, you'll enjoy how deep this mode is. The game also has a story mode and online competition. This is a very unique and deep wrestling game that I think all fans should try.

If you like retro wrestling games this one is good. The customization and downloadable content created by other players is great. The controls can be a little clunky and tough to pick up, but worth it given a little patience.

This is such a fun game. It has a steep learning curve and it is a complete throwback to games that came out in the Nintendo era, but it is leaps above the current WWE games. Highly recommend it for people who want a change.

Great game play, insane depth. This is the only wrestling game you'll want. It's got a bit of a learning curve, but once you've spent some time sharpening your skills you will not want to stop. If you want a wrestling game, you've found it.

Awesome gameplay always with the firepro series.njpw roster a plus.love the round robin tournament even though I lost my first tournament. Breathe is a must to survive.

Great Game. It's hard to pick up at first and if you just go into a match blind it'll feel like you're button mashing and not sure whether something is working or not. It's all about timing. They've got a timing tutorial and if you haven't played it before its a must. The customization of this game is absolutely amazing. And being able to utilize the NJPW roster really elevates it for me. Highly recommend.

Have been playing Fire Pro for years and the gameplay is fantastic; however the presentation and game modes are lacking. Menus and modes are not explained well for a newcomer so be aware. There is not much to do from a single player perspective and what is there is boring. Presentation is also lacking compared to games today. Suggest waiting for a sale.

Extremely simple to pick up but extremely challenging to master, grappling at its finest

Kind of hard to get to the controller, specially if you're used to the wwe games. But once you get used to it it's pretty fun.

Fire Pro Wrestling is one of the best wrestling games to come out in my opinion. The graphics are Ps2ish looking but that’s all part of its charm. There are 30 some NJPW wrestlers, most of the big stars like Kenny Omega, Kazuchika Okada, Tetsuya Naito and many others. It’s a very technical game and seems hard at first. Once you get the grappling down (which can take 10 mins to an hour or so) it’s a whole lot of fun.

While 2K, Yuke's and Visual Concepts struggle to make a decent wrestler title, SPIKE CHUNSOFT returns the best grappler on the market to consoles. Don't let the cartoony graphics fool you. You won't find a more deep or rewarding wrestling experience on current gen video game consoles. The roster isn't super big nor does it feature a ton of well known wrestlers, but the game features the largest Create-A-Wrestler toolset ever to give you the chance to create those very characters. OR if you prefer, you can look online for spot on recreations from the most passionate community in gaming. The controls aren't "new user" friendly, BUT if you take the time to learn the game, you'll feel the most rewarded. The game rewards you for timing and trying to put on the best matches you can. The WWE series has a LONG WAY to go to make a wrestling game this good!

Fire Pro Wrestling World is nothing new if you have played another Fire Pro Wrestling game, but it is a bit jarring if you're used to the WWE 2K series. For one, the graphics and sound are something from the 16-bit or 32-bit era, but don't let that deter you. The game itself can be customized to your liking, from the wrestlers, arenas, rings, referees, match types. You name it, you can customize it. The wrestling itself is a game of timing and your purpose is to entertain the crowd rather than always winning the match. If you can get past the technological shortcomings, you are in for a deep and satisfying wrestling simulation experience.

great game where you can create your own rings from fictional to nonfictional wrestling companies around the world. the dlc is awesome and brings extended gameplay to the already fun things you can do in the game itself.

Real wrestling for real fans! This game is awesome and really fun! Has a bit of a learning curve, but it's a lot of fun once you get the hang of it.

This game is a refreshing breath of air for the world of wrestling games. 2k games are all about graphics, where as this game is all about fun. Plus u can download all your favorite wwf stars from the 80s and 90s with ease.

This game has an old school feel but has all the NJPW guys and has a new school flair. It's great, I didn't buy WWE's game this year because this one is so good!

The learning curve for the Fire Pro series is very steep, but if you're interested in learning the game mechanics then you'll have a far better time than the buggy mess that is the WWE 2K series.

Great game better than what i expected,and buy going on their site you could download all types of wrestlers from wwe to impact to roh,and their movesets are identical,one of the best wresling games i played.

the WWE games have been garbage lately. Pick up this awesome evolution of the classic Arcade firepro games. Custom editors means you can make you fav USA pro wrestlers if you want.
