You will need the Fire TV stick (sold separately). The app for FireTV on android is buggy when searching channels. There's a way to set it up through the TV. Customer service rep was able to show step by step on my TV. A+++ for customer service and for that and for being able to have everything working smoothly with Alexa echo dot it is getting 5 stars. The FireTV interaction navigation with the control is time consuming, luckily you can just ask Alexa for the channel or app you want to use.

Ideal for cutting the cord. Works great with my firestick, and i can watch my shows and recordings on the go.

I originally went into BestBuy to purchase some form of DVR. This was the only one that they had that didn't require a subscription to a service. The salesman told me that it should work just fine with my Smart TV that I also purchased from BestBuy. I got the product home and followed the installation instructions to the best of my ability. What I finally determined was that I also had to buy a Firecast stick. I thought this was redundant. I am learning my way around and think it will serve my purpose

This Dvr is life. Yes you need a firestick to get the most out of it but free local channels & you can use your phone like winning

This device is great considering it was just released. I would like to see the streaming quality 1080p instead of 720 and more than 2 concurrent streams. My last complaint is it uses its own internal wifi to stream inside the house. I would prefer to use my wifi so I could stream to parts of the house further away better.

set this up with my firesticks and then connected my over the air antenna for local channels. now i can dvr my locals and skip the commercials.

The recast worked beautifully, stream of air antenna to the fire sticks on other tvs. As very impressed.

This is great for recording your shows if your considering going OTA . I'm new to this but so far so good!

Pretty cool when it works which is most of the time. Better than the competitors for sure, less twitchy.

Brings in more channels than my high end Sony TV. Plus having the ability to record and watch in other rooms. Awesome

Only recorded one show so far. The quality is great and sounds good. Still navigating the Fire stick apps and haven't tried to record any other programs. Sorry this review isn't more extensive.

The Amazon Fire TV works well to stream movies, and watch movies from Netflicks, Prime TV, Apple, and many other movie providers.

This is a great product. Love being able to record shows. We have had no problems with this product. Recommend it to anyone.

Pair your recast with a 4K fire stick and HD antenna and you have, in my opinion, the best DVR solution for broadcast television.

The fact you only get 2 tuners is weak for the cost . I would have taken this back and gotten the 4 tuner setup but the return period is only 15 days

So far so good 4 weeks in. Easy setup, easy integration and very user friendly.

I love how I can now put my antenna anywhere in my house because of this thing. It works great and I get awesome reception.
