Not a good purchase

Unfortunately after trying three different antennas I could never get even top four broadcast stations consistently. I am back to YouTubeTV.

Mostly does it’s job

The live streaming to my phone is lacking. Too much buffering if I’m not connected to my home network. Installation was simple. One coax from the antenna to the recast, then setup was through the firetv app on my phone. Once it was connected to my network, it became simple to watch live tv from any tv that I have a firetv device connected to.

Great way to get around losing signal strength over long cables runs or splitters. Went from 30 channels on 3 TVS to 66+ on all my TVS. The DVR capabilities and the free channel guide only add to the value!!!

Love Fire Recast box!

I can record up to 2 over-the-air programs at a time (I.e. antenna programs) and watch on my own time. Can keep up to 75 hours of recordings. I delete recordings daily or every other day to keep it manageable. Glad I finally inquired about being able to record free antenna tv at Best Buy.

Good OTA Streamer

It integrates will with Fire TV devices. I am disappointed that the remote viewing is limited to iOS and Android devices. I would like to view on my Fire TV stick when I am away from my home.

Excellent product

I also bought a good 70 mi antenna and installed in the attic. The change of antenna made the difference! The Recast while a new product it has very good implementation if you are already in the Amazon Fire ecosystem. I don't doubt that the next version will be better, but this whole installation will pay for itself in 4.5 months. You do the math!
