I liked the recast but it was difficult to set up. I also does not come with a remote so you need to have a Fire Stick to make it work.

Being tired of paying excessively high satellite fees, got the Recast and boy... this product rocks! I also bought a good 70 mi antenna and installed in the attic. The change of antenna made the difference! The Recast while a new product it has very good implementation if you are already in the Amazon Fire ecosystem. I don't doubt that the next version will be better, but this whole installation will pay for itself in 4.5 months. You do the math!

It does what is says it do in a beautiful way. They keep the simple look and feel of FireTV, and seamlessly integrate OTA signals, with DVR capacity and the many other streaming services like HULU, SLING, NETFLIX, PHILO, PLUTO, etc Installation is VERY simple, Amazon Customer Service is quick and trustful. Maybe the antenna location and installation was the most "traumatic" step of the process, but everything else is plug and play.

Works great loved cutting off Spectrum even more than how easy this was

Worked well for two weeks. Can't get it to work with 5G. Bought the antenna to go with it. I'm VERY DISAPPOINTED

Works as advertised however I recommend getting the version that records up to 4 at a time.

I wasn’t for spending the money on an OTA DVR but after some research I wanted to give it a try and haven’t been disappointed. No cost for DVR service and no need for antennas in every room now. Every room has an Amazon Fire and pulls the channels and DVR recording in with no additional work.

It does what it suppose to do. Record over the air TV for replay at a later time. You have to have a fire stick and you have to be comfortable with that software. But, overall the software was easy to use and self explanatory. When I did need help I called their tech support and was walked through the process. Their tech support gets 5 stars too. I had Tivo but just try to contact their support team (good luck).

Love being able to DVR even though we have zero cable or tv services!! Best invention ever!

Trying to cut the cable bill. Starting slow with a separate room tv. This setup is great.

This device currently does not fully working without a fire TV sticks if you have smartphone download the app you will not be able to schedule records you will need to buy a fire stick 4K

It's ok. Menu system is a little clunky. DVR recording is even clunkier. Does it's job but not the most user friendly.

Works great at home. I bought this because I thought I could use on my fire tv at lake house that has no tv reception. Sadly not although I can watch on mobile phone

So far, it working good, just getting use to using, setting recordings, and guide...new toy!

The reason someone wants to buy this type of product is to have a dvr and easy and fast access to over the air channels not go through all apps and amazon prime features. You can access all those in lots of other products. Stay away don't waste your money. I returned it
