I like it. Record my favorites with just an antenna.

Amazon Fire TV RECAST: Biggest Drawback (& Severe Flaw) > NO Guide, nor Search feature, on mobile APP. Therefore, Absolutely NO Ability what-so-ever to Remotely (on-the-go/away from home) Program/Schedule/Record 'FUTURE' events from the mobile APP. Also, mobile APP does NOT store TV Series' Recordings in a Folder (EACH Episode is displayed Separately). Hopefully Amazon will Correct this in the Very Near Future with a software Update. So far, Everything else about the Recast is Great (it even shows my subscribed to Philo channels in the Recast Guide, a nice feature).

Don’t waste money or your time being frustrated with an Amazon Fire TV Recast product. They are unreliable and often do not reset easily. When you want to watch TV it sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t, and recording with the DVR is even more unreliable!

Good Quality but you need a tv antenna very compact.

Not a very well designed or reliable product. Does what it does, but then goes all buggy. Buffers when my internet is just fine. Tells me it can't erase a recording because it has "lost contact with the wifi," but it hasn't! I was just watching the recording (and recording another) so I know darn well it's connected. Confusing settings menu--individual settings are hard to find and not intuitive. Overall, just not up to Amazon's usual quality of user experience.

Setup was not a problem but I did not like the limitations of hardware the app could run on. Decided to return and purchase Tablo. Very happy with my Tablo.

Good idea but no consistency. Local channels always buffer and stations come in better when antenna is connected directly to the tv.

I like it except fo r 1 thing. I have a smart tv and I never could figure out how to watch it on the tv. I did get it to work on my tablet though. I took it back.

Have used one for >2 years & previously would have given 4+ stars; however, there are major changes. Amazon has stopped selling the Replay. Support ends in 4 years. ? if they will supply channel listings after that to allow recording (I did not discuss with Amazon Chat). However chat confirmed to me that they will continue to support playback on future versions of Fire TV OS after 2026. Biggest drawback for many is that it does not support ATSC3 which is the new broadcasting standard for over the air TV in the US. It will work now, but future for this is dismal!

HORRIBLE SERVICE AND SET-UP, ACCESS - Awful set-up access and support online and even going-in at store-level. Spend your money on a good antenna and streaming service and forget this total garbage!
