I did not really know what to expect when I purchased the Fire TV Recast. It was very easy to set up. Puts all you apps and OTA stations in an easy to read guide. You are able to set up your favorite channels. Very easy to record OTA channels. You are able to record two shows at the same time (as long as you are tuned to one of them.)

Set up was easy and fast. And it is awesome. I have 2 tv’s in my condo, and both use the antenna wirelessly through Amazon Firestick. I don’t have to have separate antennas for each tv. And I love being able to record programs for later viewing. Buy it (if you have Amazon Fire capability. You won’t regret it!

This all depends on where your HD antenna is placed and if your location isn't too far from the broadcasters to pick up the channels that you want to watch. After using testing it out for a month or two, it is collecting dust. For my situation, I need an outdoor antenna instead of an indoor one with 30 miles range. I liked that it integrated with my FireStick TV.

I use the USB port on the Converter box to play Audio and Video from my Computer. I connected the Converted box to an old vintage tube TV.

This is a great way to record broadcasts from your antenna and also to be able to view live or recorded shows on any of your tv's that are equipped with a FireTV stick! No physical connection is necessary between your antenna and your tv's, only between the antenna and the Recast.

While there are some glitches and Amazon tech support was useless, this is exactly what I needed. I refuse to pay for TV and this records and plays back Antenna channels with no problems. You do need good Antenna reception. You can record 2 shows simultaneously. It's really simple to use once you figure out how it works. I have a Fire TV w/Alexa so it's easy to use with voice control. I don't have a Fire Stick so not sure if that allows voice control.

The Amazon Fire TV Recast has revolutionized how we watch TV. Becoming a cord cutter and ditching Satellite TV for IP based streaming services, there was still one remaining local channel that couldn’t be found from any streaming provider. While the local channel is available with an antenna, it is quite difficult to switch TV inputs to switch over to an antenna input and then select a channel – I wanted everything to be accessible right from within the Fire Stick 4K menu. This solved it. The Amazon Fire TV Recast works perfect tucked away in a basement mechanical room connected to an over the air antenna and the internet. Now, any local channel is right there on the Fire Stick 4K environment and multiple Fire Stick 4K's in the house can all stream from the Recast. I couldn’t be happier.

This box is amazing super easy set up with the firestick and digital antenna. The interface is also very nice.

I bought this along with a Fire TV, so we could get tv reception in our kitchen. There wasn't anyway to get a cable to it's location and an indoor antennas wouldn't work. So I hooked up the Fire Tv Recast to the antenna in our family room and it sent the signal to the Fire Tv through our WIFI. My wife likes to watch the local news while see cooks, so I set it up to record it daily. It has worked flawlessly. It also works great with the Fire stick I have on the other TV.

This is a great little device that allows you to record multiple shows at once. The only issue I have is that the hard drive space is a little small at 500GB. I like to record multiple shows to watch in my free time and I found myself limited after a few months of recording. However, for someone watching and deleting the recordings in more timely manner, they should not have any storage issues. I would buy this product again for sure.

The best OTA DVR in the market. Easy to use, easy to record with guide tv. No issues at all in streaming live tv (Home & on the go). The only thing is on the mobile app there is not an option for a guide tv and cannot schedule a record ahead.

The set up process was very simple. I'm apart of the Fire Tv ecosystem, so everything (Fire Cube, Echo Plus and Echo Show) works great together. It records and plays well. I was even able to watch local tv during my internet outage.

Love this box! It was the last step I needed to cutting the cable cord! I had 2 issues that kept me from cutting satellite 1. was DVR 2. was local channel signals (I am too far from the city to receive local channels. This box was my salvation. I have a $5 antenna stuck to the best signal window in the house that is plugged into this bad boy. It is in one of the few rooms in my house without a TV. It transmits the live signal to all 5 tv's in my house that has a firestick. And, it tapes all my favorite shows. It has better signal strength than the antenna on its own. I am so happy, that I bought this same unit for my parents!

This has worked great and allowed me to get rid of DirecTV. I use this with an HD antenna and I don't need to pay for cable. Set up was easy, but you do need a Firestick to use this. One of the things I wanted that this does is give you the ability to schedule recording two weeks out and schedule an entire series.

The Recast allow us to pause and record antenna channels. It connected to our Fire TV in the living room so we just had to buy a Fire TV Stick for the bedroom TV. It has a very nice channel guide, is easy to use and has made cutting the cord so much easier!

I like the box especially since I cut cable and no longer have a DVR. Sometimes it’s doesn’t always work to record when I’m away from home and when watching my recordings I like to fast forward thru commercials, however once you stop to play it’s blurry for a sec and then clears up. Over all I’d recommend.

If you want to cut your cable bill, get an OTA antenna, some Fire Sticks, and this baby here. Get all the local channels plus all the additional digital changes they broadcast. Plug the antenna wore into this box and steam live TV too your Fire TV sticks without additional wires. Plus it lets you watch on your phone or tablet when you're not at home. What am incredible device!

Love it! Instead of hooking up individual antennas on all 5 of my TV's (which all have a Fire TV attached), I'm able to tune in to free OTA (over the air) channels from this Fire TV Recast. One antenna connection streams to every TV flawlessly... I can watch one channel and record another channel at the same time. It also has a TV channel guide. The cost is expensive, but if you catch the $75 off sale at BB, it's worth it. Because of the cost I give it 4.5 stars, but had to choose 5 star.

Love all Amazon products as we are fairly entrenched in their ecosphere. The ability to record shows with your voice is awesome. Setup was easy. We are disappointed that the output is only 720p when we can use our antenna to 1080p OTA. Also, we've recently had some buffering issues possible due to the fact that the Recast is upstairs and one of our TV's is in the basement but we can stream from Prime and Netflix fine, just the Recast streaming gives us problems. May try moving it to a different room to see if it improves. If Recast comes out with a new model that has 1080p or 4k resolution and a stronger antenna for streaming to Firestick's, this thing would really fulfill all my needs as a cordcutter.
