It is a great dvd. Easy to set up. I can record all the free tv channels with it.

This is a good way to DVR OTA programming at a reasonable price. I wish the navigation was more user-friendly, but otherwise, I'm very happy with it.

Excellent DVR for recording your favorite shows from OTA antenna programs. Free tv channel schedule remotely on your phone or tablet and at home via your firestick. Needs to integrate with your firestick for viewing on your tv. Would have been nice if you could take the firestick to remote locations to view channels and DVR content. Remote viewing only supported by phone or tablet app.

This DVR does exactly what I needed it to do. It’s an easy to use device that works well with the Amazon firestick. I no longer have cable tv but I sure use the antenna on my apartment roof to watch local channels. A good product for those that don’t care about cable tv.

Works as advertised. I was able to pull 63 channels including all of the main networks with a really stable signal from an antenna in a basement. Integration with a FireTV is seamless when tied to the same account. Cord has been cut.

Finally in the process of cutting the cord, still in the process of setting it up. In all, the initial progress of this looks promising.

Skip the cable bill. Pretty easy to set up. Although you do need to have a fire TV to configure the recordings easily. You can’t really do more than view from the mobile app.

Great for antenna users works as promised I like it

I bought this because I travel alot and I don't want to have to go to a sports bar to watch my football team play. First preseason game and they've basically blocked this channel, so I can't see the game. I am very bummed out. Also, using this away from home is so basic as to be ridiculous. You can't see a guide to set the recast to record a show remotely. There's no guide on the mobile app at all. You basically have to wait until the show comes on, scroll through all the shows and then hit record. This ruins the experience of having the recast to access your home tv in the first place. When you are away from home, you can't watch this on your firestick. You have to use a fire tablet or your phone. That seems like a major miss to me. You should be able to stream on your firestick if you take it with you. If you just want to watch while at home and connect your tvs and have a dvr without having cable, this could work. There's no subscription fee, so it's better than TIVO in that regard. If you are buying this thinking you will stream while away from home, it's a major disappointment.

Have always been an OTA TV viewer and have owned several different recording devices. I bought the Firecast at a great sale price to experiment with and am very pleased. I now use it as my primary recorder. You do need a Fire Stick, but there's no subscription needed or additional fees. It integrates with Amazon Prime video to provide a nice package.

Great piece for the price. It has a lot a large H. D. Or memory bank to store games or shows.

Many times I want to watch the local channels but not at home at the right time. This device would help save programs for later watch. Very clear on iPad or connected a projector. I wish it can record cable TV shows for watching later. One minus is you have to use a Firestick controller to set up daily program recordings instead of using my iPad.

I purchased this to go along with the new antenna because we “cut the cable”. Best decision I’ve ever made. This model is only capable of recording two channels at the same time. The newer model can record 4 at once. I believe this was on sale for $129 which is why we purchased it. Very easy to setup and use.

I looked at a few and went with this option. Tis is Good DVR option for OTA Channels using a antenna. I wish the fast fwd worked a little better - still playing with that part.

Works well once you get your antenna in the right place to pick up the available channels. Haven't used it away from home yet, so will have to wait and see how that goes.

Works great! the trick is finding a good spot for the reception with your antenna. Handy when you want to catch a game on local tv on your phone with the app.

Only had the recast a couple of weeks but so far satisfied with how well it works. Setup per utube videos was confusing but got it to work.

I needed something that would record that also went along with my Fire TV Cube. This was it! Not only that, it had an update that allowed me to preset recordings ahead of time so I wouldn't forget. These devices were perfect for me. Allowed me to walk away from cable!

We’ve had it for about two months now so far it seems to be a good product didn’t have no trouble in hooking it up overall I would recommend it as a good product
