Customers are saying

Customers recognize the Alta Activity Tracker (Small) for its ease of use, small size, and effective step tracking capabilities. Many appreciate the sleek design, long battery life, and sleep tracking features, while also noting the accuracy of its data. However, some users found the band and clasp difficult to use, and the lack of a heart rate monitor was also a common point of feedback. Additionally, the display's readability in sunlight was mentioned as an area for improvement.

    Good, but some flaws

I bought 2 Fitbit Alta's - one for me, one for my girlfriend (who is in a wheelchair). Obviously the step count wasn't accurate for her but she wanted it as a gauge since she's started walking/pushing & biking on a handcycle around the neighborhood every day for 1-2 miles. Overall, we both like the Alta's. They were decently comfortable, they had a good range on bluetooth for the call/text notifications, and had a long battery life of at least 5 days. I work as an electrician and the Alta was easy to clean sheetrock dust, etc out of. The voice cues for distances and the customization were a nice touch. My gf's complains on the watch were it didn't auto detect exercise for her (which is to be expected) but if you manually started a walk or bike in the app, it would override all the steps taken that day - not just during the exercise period. She also thought it was more comfortable to sleep with the display on the underside of her wrist. My complaint was the band did become unlatched one or two times as I took my hand in & out of my pocket, despite the snap on it was hard-ish to close and seemed secure. We ended up exchanging them for the Charge 2 when they came out, didn't get the Charge originally since it didn't have a replaceable band.

Bought this for my wife and she loves it ! Was apprehensive at first reading reviews about difficulty to put it on, but wife got the hang of it in couple of days. Battery lasts full week, and the design is pretty stylish. The slim band is much nicer than earlier models. Receiving text messages on band is great so don't have to carry phone all the time. Only downside is wife now challenges me to match her activity - so need 1 for myself.

Does the job but slight flaws

Let's first say how much I love the design of this Fitbit. It goes well with everyday outfits. However, there are some slight flaws like tapping the screen to turn it on needs some pressure tap before it turns on. Also the belt buckle is kind of hard to put on. Other than that, it does the job!

It is lightweight and comfortable and does several things. Watch, tracker, and notifications of texts and calls. It can also switch wristbands to match outfits.

I joined the 10,000 step program and am captain of my team. I tracking my steps without having to think about it or wear something on my waist that falls off. Also, the Fitbit tells me when I reach my goals and "rewards" me when I surpass them. . I have it synced to my phone which is a plus (alerting me to texts and phone calls). I can track my progress easily on my phone. Alta is the right size for my small wrist!

Very stylish! And I love that great bands that can be purchased with the alta. I bought the pink leather and very pleased! I use my Alta for daily steps, sleeping, and water goals. Very easy set-up. Syncs well with the Samsung Galaxy S6. Sends you weekly updates with all your stats. This version does not give your heart rate, but that's okay with me. Highly recommend! Would purchase again!

I bought this watch for my girlfriend to use and she is in love with it, she loves how it accurately tells you the steps you take and how many you need to take to accomplish you personal goal, she also likes how you can log everything you drink and eat and it tells you the calories you've burned. The only negative part about this watch is that it doesn't have a heart rate monitor and it isn't water proof.

The wristband is small and comfortable. It is more fashionable than my previous Flex. It tracks my steps, amount of activity and sleep. It reminds me when I have been stationary too long. It is easy to charge and the charge lasts nearly a week. It vibrates when I reach my goal. The software that it links to is easy to use and provides lots of information. It also syncs with my Weight Watchers tracking.

More motivating than I had expected it to be. The reminders are really cool and keep me moving.. Super light, stylish and easy to wear. Battery lasts for 5-6days but I don't use it for sleep tracking as I don't feel comfortable. Only Con is, I have to wear it loose. if i wear it even a bit tighter exactly to the grip of my wrist, the arm aches from shoulder to the wrist for the whole day.

I have had this tracker for three weeks. It is fabulous. I keep track of miles, steps and sleep. I challenge friends over weekend workouts . it is nice to get a notification when I hit 12,000 steps. I have had a lot of people notice the tracker and comment on it. They love it. I wish it was waterproof so I could wear it in the pool. All in all I love it and highly recommend it.

Am very pleased with the Alta. Had the basic one and it fell off due to badly designed clasp. Then had a Charge HR which was good. Thought the Alta was more esthetic design. Don't mind not having the heart rate. So far all is great with the Alta as far as design and functioning. So would recommend it to others. Just wish you could wear it while swimming laps!

I have a small wrist and it's perfect--low profile as it comes in sizes Small and Large. I like the choice of interchangeable bands, too! It suits my needs just fine. I use it to track sleep, steps, uninterrupted minutes of activity and more. It's a smart tracker so you can see who's texting you, and you can set alarms on it. Love it!

The link with my phone was easy and works well. I love the update on my sleeping patterns at night. It alerts me to keep moving when I have been sitting at my desk at work which I love. If I had to find one negative thing it would be trying to clasp it on my wrist. A little difficult to close but stays on great once you get it!
