I looked for a while before finally purchasing this. Since day one of purchasing it - I have no regrets. I am very pleased with the HR model verses the lower priced models. It seems to be accurate, motivating and helps me track what I'm doing throughout the day, including my sleep patterns.

Best fit bit yet

Today is day three with my new fit bit charge and I love it! It replaced my fit bit flex that I had for three months which I also loved… The best new feature is just a simple push of the button on my wristband to look at my stats as opposed to turning on my phone, opening the app and waiting for it to sync.
The step count is very accurate, the new feature of counting floors is nice and the caller ID feature is great when I'm out walking… No need to pull out my phone to see who's calling.
My second favorite new feature is that I don't have to set it to sleep mode when I get into bed and then turn it off when I wake up… The charge recognizes when you have no physical activity and puts itself into sleep mode automatically!
The charge paired easily with my iPhone 6 and I did not lose any data.
The first few times it was a bit tricky to snap the wristband on but after three days It is not an issue.
The LED readout is sharp and clear and I am still on a full charge after three days
It would be nice to have different color wristbands like my flex but I did not buy it to match my clothes… I bought it to help me increase my physical activity and I'm happy to say I have lost over 30 pounds with my fit bit....so all I care about is that this product works as advertised every day and I am very happy with it!

I have owned several Fitbit and Fitbit One over the past few years and they were okay but I normally attached them to my bra strap and if I wanted to see my progress through the day I would have to almost flash strangers :)
When I went to see about upgrading I looked at all the new Fitbits and found the Charge to be the best that offered what I was looking at. With the Fitbit One it tracked steps, floors, calories, miles and I had a cute little flower that grew. With the flex it did not track as much and with the Surge too big and too much info. The Charge does what I need. it acts like a watch and surprisingly is not bulky on my arm which I was worried about. If I could have one criticism it would be you are stuck with standard band. It would be nice if it could have interchangeable bands. Overall excellent buy.

I am a huge fan of my purchase. That being said, I will do my best to give you readers a helpful review.
The FitBit Charge is a good fitness tracker, but its accuracy issues mean ownership requires some tweaking.
PROS:
It tells time and can have alarms. This is underrated, as most of the other trackers in this price point do not have a way to tell you the time.
Wearing it makes you more conscious of the choices you are making. I take the stairs significantly more often now. It's like a shackle of helpfulness.
It is water-resistant in the sense that you can wear it in the shower and not have to worry about it exploding, but I think the manual doesn't recommend swimming while wearing the Charge.
It can track your food and sleep habits. Individually.
If you're getting a phone call, and your phone is on silent, it will pulse a vibration and let you know you're ringing. This is especially useful in situations where I am expecting an important phone call while in a work meeting.
If I stop exercising, I still have a cool watch.
CONS:
You have to charge it about once every week.
It doesn't have idle alarms like a Jawbone or Garmin tracker. You know...those reminders if you've been sitting for over an hour to get up and move around.
No amount of adjusting your walking/running stride lengths matters if the charge over-counts walking strides, and under-counts running strides.
I conducted two accuracy tests walking the track for about five miles. My results are below.
Actual steps: 10,000 & 10,000
Charge steps: 10,885 & 10,459 (7% inaccurate)
Fitbit One steps: 10,210 & 10,185 (2% inaccurate)
4x3 Motion Pedometer steps: 10,014 & 10,009 (<1% inaccurate)
I wouldn't recommend logging Insanity or CrossFit workouts with the built-in timer until you have the pedometer finely tuned to your regular walk/run. My wife's Charge was 20-30% inaccurate during her first few weeks of ownership, and I think it is because she did Insanity workouts the first week she was wearing it. I imagine the sensors inside the watch were very confused, but it's leveled out to become more accurate since then.
If you knit, lift weights, or fold laundry, expect to register a few dozen steps during your respective activity.
Tl;DR - If you like having fitness goals, the Fitbit Charge is a good place to start. If all you care about is an accurate pedometer, get a Fitbit One. If you're serious about tracking intense workouts, get a Fitbit Charge HR. If you have lots and lots of money, get a Fitbit Surge. Then buy me one, too.

I got the FitBit on a recommendation from a friend and I have to say that I'm very happy with it. Easy to use, it doesn't get in the way, and the FitBit app also tracks sleep activity so if you're a toss and turner, as I am, you can see just how often you toss and turn in the night. I also love the challenges so you can hook up with friends who also have FitBits and "compete" to see how walks the most!
As for the ancillary things it does, I love that I can see who's calling me before I pick up the phone. I wish it would notify me when I get a text message, though, as that's what normally sets my phone off.

Comfortable wristband with an easy to read digital display. Syncs to the app effortlessly. Love the caller i.d. display, great for when you are in the middle of a workout. Both the app and Fit bit help to keep you on track, Fit Bit vibrates once you've hit your step goal for the day and the app awards "badges"and progress reports based on individual achievements.

I bought this for my girlfriend. She likes it quite a bit. I'm still in search of the perfect device. I have a Soleus Go and I love that it reads my text messages out for me. This one lets you know when someone is calling and that has been pretty handy. The Fitbit Charge has worked really well for her, decent battery charge life, pretty accurate and the display is nice.

I only bought this to track my steps at my second job but after one week of wearing it I was using it *everyday* for *everything*. This Fitbit owns me! It not only holds me accountable, it allows me to track my calories, my sleep patterns and other things as well! And the option for silent alarms to get me up and moving really works. I've also used it as an alarm clock and caller ID for incoming phone calls!

I purchased this for tracking my steps. It works great fluting the day and sleep tracking is wonderful, my only issue is the band. I have large wrists and the largest band is tight on me. It was peeling my skin so I had to switch it for the Fitbit one. I wish that they would make a bigger band for the one.

I have used this every single day since I got it! Great product! I usually take it off every morning when I shower and that's long enough to keep it charged! The app in my phone syncs to my band at all times and it's very accurate. And the best feature, is being able to set an alarm on it and it just vibrates to wake you up (instead of loud obnoxious sounds)

I have been very happy with my fit bit charge. Not only does it provide steps and calories it also tracks my sleep, which I have found beneficial in addressing the need for more sleep. It also equates steps into mileage. In setting a goal for steps it keeps you motivated to get at least your goal each day. Very happy! Charge lasts approx. one full week.

Overall, this fitbit product is great. It has a display which shows steps you have taken, calories burned, how far you walked, stairs climes and the time. This is really useful for someone who does not want to be checking their phone all the time. The stats are pretty accurate, and I have never had a problem with syncing.
Unfortunately the band is rather large, not ideal for someone with small wrisits. Also there are no options for changing the case/band because of the display option.
The only issue I have had with the product that it is not durable. The first one I had only lasted a month and the display became very scratched and the button to view status fell off. Best buy was great and I was able to exchange it, however I am worried it may not make it past three months.

The new features are the clock, auto tracking of sleep patterns and notice of calls when phone is near. The display is great and the battery last a bit longer. The only delta I have for this version is that I'm unable to change bands. The band you buy is the band you keep.

For the most part, the fitbit is really good at what it is supposed to do. It seems to track steps and sleep well. My only minor gripe is the wristband/clasp. It's a little clunky and not the easiest to snap on. I would have preferred a more traditional clasp.

The FitBit Charge works well. Seems to track steps, activities, calories accurately. Interacts with the MyFitnessPal well. Battery life has been good so far. Typically have to charge it every 7 - 9 days.
The difference between the small and large size is only the length of the band. The body of the device is the same size.

Great product overall. Does just about everything that it advertises accurately. I did get surprising results when I wore it while riding my motorcycle though. I was astonished to see that I had walked over 50,000 steps for 10+ miles. Needless to say, all of my goals were maxed out that day. My other concern is that they have the different size posted of the bands, but neglect to initially tell you that for proper fitment you need about .5 inch of space between the watch and your wrist. I initially thought that a small would be fine for me, only to learn after buying that I can't properly put it on without it being too tight (but that's kind of user error also).

I got the charge for my wife and it works great. The price was good. She likes the display and sleep tracking and that it alerts you when someone calls from her synced smart phone. Battery lasts about a full week. Good, comfortable design.
