I've had the unit for a little over a month now and it's been quite solid. The battery lasts about 5-6 days. It tracks steps well and has settings in place to help and disregard other motions to be as accurate as possible. I initially had it on my dominant hand and even with the setting for that sometimes it would still be a little off in steps counted. Once I switched over to the non-dominant hand it's been much better.
The sleep tracker works great but sometimes it feels like you have to have perfect rhythm to get it to activate or deactivate. When it is on though the tracking is extremely accurate and gives a nice view of sleep patterns.
It's lightweight and comfortable enough that I have to remember to take it off when I go swimming (I know it's rated for showering but it makes no mention of pool use so I try to avoid that).
Overall it's been pretty great!

I bought both the One and the Flex, one for me and one for my wife. I had planned on keeping the Flex because I thought it would be easier to track sleep, a feature I really was interested in. As it turns out, my wife didn't want either (she didn't want to spend money on it -- not a gadget-head like me!) so I tried both to see which I preferred. Much to my surprise, I actually preferred the One. Both devices are great -- they each do a very good job tracking the stats they cover, and making it fun and easy to track food, exercise, calories etc. In the end, what drew me more to the One is that, once you clip it on, the device just disappears from your consciousness. Although the Flex was very comfortable, and often forgot I was wearing it, it seemed like a bigger commitment than I wanted to have to wear a bracelet 24/7/365, and there were times it bugged me to have it on. The Pros to the Flex of course are just that -- you put it on, leave it on, end of story. The One you have to remember to clip on, you have to take it out and put it in a wrist band to track sleep (more on that later), you can't wear it when you shower etc. And, being so light and small, it's easy to forget you have it on -- a bug or a feature, depending on how you look at it. To me, I remember to check it to see how my stats are, so I'm getting the motivating, but I like that it's not this physical presence constantly hovering on the edge of my awareness the way the Flex bracelet is. I also prefer the ability to check on the device actual stats such as Steps, Floors, Calories, Miles, rather than just getting a string of five lights to let you guesstimate how far to your step goal you are. I did find the buzzer alarm better on the Flex. Oddly enough, although it's a slight hassle to have to take the One out and put it in the sleep band at night, I actually find tracking sleep itself better with the One -- it's easier to toggle on and off on the One, which is accomplished by holding the button down until the clock flashes, than with the Flex, where sleep tracking is toggled on and off by tapping rapidly on the device until the lights flash in a particular pattern. I had problems each night I wore the Flex getting it to track, and ended up needing to enter the hours I slept manually. No such problem with the One. So, ultimately, each device is great at the tracking and motivating, but which form factor works best for you should drive which you choose.

I bought this primarily as a step and sleep tracker and it fits both really well. My wife and I compete in who gets to 10,000 steps a day first. Battery lasts about 5 days and you receive an e-mail when it's running low. The only thing I miss is a heart-rate monitor. I tried other trackers that claim to track heart-rate but are really clumsy to use.

I was looking for something help motivate me to get moving more in the day. I love the FitBit. I can do challenges with others who have them to keep me moving even more. It is close to accurate on calories burned when doing walking/ running activity, the app also has a calorie counter, and you can keep track of your weight. It is pretty accurate with the steps taken. Also you can use the app to track water intake. I got the pink one and the band did start to discolor some so I suggest getting a black one or dark blue. I love this little device and what it had to offer. It is worth the money. I have lost 11 lbs in 5 1/2 weeks with the motivation of this little gadget and eating right. I love the fact I can leave it on when I take a shower as well. The sleep tracking feature is pretty nice to get a idea of how well you are sleeping. I love my fitbit. I kind of wish it had a heart rate monitor you could purchase to link with it for when you are doing work outs that don't involve steps, but all in all I am very happy with this product.

I got this because I just started a fitness program and didn't like tracking things on my phone. The app is easy to use and the wristband doesn't get in the way of anything, plus it looks good! I really like the sleep tracking function, and if I decide to diet I know that the app will be helpful in that. The wristband picks up dirt pretty easily so be prepared to buy a new one in a few months, especially if you get the lighter color.

The website is easy to use, though I sometimes get an error message saying the website is down. I have found this is because my phone has switched to the neighbors wifi. This is an issue with my phone, clearly, but I'm not sure why being on different wifi affects only this app. Since I wanted this, largely, for sleep, I wish I had spent the extra money to get a heart rate monitor. I do think it is fairly accurate, but there are times when I am lying their trying to sleep, and not moving, and not sure if is reading me properly, since it is based on movement. Also, it can't tell the difference between washing the dishes and walking. Many times I have reached my walking goal by standing in one spot and doing the dishes, that being said, I have my doubts that the other monitors can tell the difference between these 2 activities. All of these issues are minor, when it comes time to replace mine, I will upgrade to the fitbit with the heart rate monitor. I like the way it tracks everything, and for that reason I would not switch to another brand.

The Fitbit Flex was easy to set-up. I bought it and used it the following day at a half marathon. BestBuy had a sale that covered all Fitbit devices and bought it two days after the Flex was introduced. The device is small almost the size of a jelly bean. The convenience is that I can take it with me anywhere since it's inside a wrist strap. I wear it on my left wrist next to my watch, I even leave it on even when showering. The fitbit website is delightful, I have befriended my co-workers and relatives and it makes me very competitive. It tracks steps, distance, two things that are very helpful. It would have been the perfect device if it could track stair climbing. It tracks sleep patterns, but I'd trade that for tracking stair climbing.

Has minimum display capabilities on tracker itself. Only useful if paired with a smartphone and the free app is installed. Automatically trackes steps taken, miles, calories burned, and actives minutes. Can also track water intake, sleep pattern, etc.. with various level levels of manual input.

It is a lightweight stylish band that easily tracks steps, sleep, and works well with the MyFitnessPal App. Purchased this mostly for the ability to track steps well and monitor my awful sleeping habits. Battery lasts for about 3 days and charging is quick. Set up is also simple and the Fitbit app is very easily accessible. All in all a great beginner's purchase in trackers.

I bought this as a replacement for my fitbit one which I had misplaced. I found that it has less features than the one (Stair climbing for one) and that it was extremely difficult to secure on my wrist. You have to stretch out the poly band so that the holes will accommodate the snaps. Velcro, or a simple snap attachment would be much easier to use. The lack of a numeric display is also disappointing. No measurable data is displayed. You need to go to the website in order to get a progress readout. On the positive side, I found the alarm and sleep tracking features to be great and easy to use. In summary, if you are just looking for something as a motivator, this is okay, but for about $20 more you can get many more features and instant, quantifiable feedback with the fitbit one.

I've had it for a few months now, I really like tracking my steps. The only thing I don't like is that it's a bit uncomfortable to sleep with, sometimes it digs into my wrist & I have to adjust it. I don't personally care for the silent alarm it works fine & all but I couldn't get used to it. Oh yeah and it's not compatible with Linux for the initial setup, and it can't be set up from your phone but once the account is set up then I was able to find open source software that updates it with no problems. Overall I'm happy with it & I like it.

The Fitbit Flex is a great motivator to get you moving and burn more calories. I love that it provides two different sized bands. I wear the small and it fits perfectly. Set up and sync were as easy as it gets. The iPhone app is a useful tool to check your progress throughout the day.

I bought the fitbit flex for Christmas and after 2 months I had problems with it not charging. I contacted fitbit flex customer service and they worked with me quickly, explaining how to clean it better to charge. When that didn't work, they sent me a replacement tracker, all I had to do was email them a copy of the receipt and I had the replacement in days. After 2 months I had problems with the replacement, but they again quickly worked with me to get a tracker that would work. They have gone above and beyond their efforts to work with me and make me a satisfied fitbit flex customer. The product does motivate me and it measures my sleep quite accurately. I will probably advance to a higher level one in the future, but for now this one meets my needs, is easy to use and I am satisfied that this product does what is claims. I have an android Straight Talk phone and the app works fine that connect to it via bluetooth. I would definitely recommend the fitbit flex.

I had a terrible time getting the fastener to snap on, but I read in the online community help that you could snap it before you put it on (tight enough to fit comfortably, but loose enough to slide on and off as needed). This works for me.
Also, it is water resistant so I could wear it washing dishes, showeritng, etc, but I prefer to remove it at these times because the water gets trapped in the plastic holes and makes it feel slimy on my wrist. Pulling it off temporarily works fine.
The function of the tracker itself works better than the Fit One I owned originally - tracking is more accurate although you cannot see where you are at by looking at your wrist -you have to synch it with a device to find out exactly where you are at.

Great product! Keeps track of all my steps (even allows you to set a goal and adjust as needed) and has alarm functions (really does work!) Battery life is great too. I have family and friends that have a Fitbit flex as well. This allows us to be competitive with each other, which is always fun. Nothing but positive remarks! High recommend this.

It sic up with all the fitness apps that my wife uses, tracks her sleep, steps, and is water proof as well (after swimming in a pool doing laps, still works fine) the only problem is, now we are looking at the next model up, just so it can show time and notifications on the screen other than that it works great and she loves it so I'm happy

A great little gadget in order to keep track of your exercise and general movement. It also tracks sleep. While having one won´t magically get you into shape, it certainly helps and can motivate one to keep better track of their movement, and then try and do a bit more! Really easy to set up and it seems pretty accurate. Good purchase.

Love my new fitbit. I have had it for about a month and I find myself parking farther away and making conscious and unconscious efforts to walk more to hit daily goals. I personally like the weekly progress report that is sent to my email. Little things like the app for my phone, progress reports, and motivational emails are nice touches. I dislike how difficult it is to track food intake. This becomes so time consuming that I find myself not eating because I don't want to take the time to log everything into the program. Adding the barcode scanner like the one offered in Myfitnesspal would make this a perfect devise. Lastly, the wrist band (Flex) is super comfy and I don't even know I have it on. I would recommend a large band for the ankle (when biking) and a small for the wrist (daily wear). The new clasp has never failed me yet (as mentioned by others who have lost their fitbit).

Really enjoying the FITBIT ability to track my daily steps and exercise to maintain goals and fitness. The sleep function was a big eye opener of my good and bad nights of sleep.
So light I forget I have it on my wrist. Worth the purchase for sure!!
