Just after 13 months, it’s broken! It came apart suddenly. I was doing bedside nursing at the time when I noticed that the screen is hanging and exposed the inner part of the watch. It really came apart.

    Band Gives Me a Rash

The band has given me a rash around my wrist. I like the tracker other than that fact. I don't wear it too tight and they suggest taking the tracker off to get rid of the rash, which I do but as soon as I put it back on the rash comes back. And what is the point of having a tracker if you can't wear it.

The Fitbit Versa is the best smartwatch I have owned and let me tell you why. I have owned it now for 8 months and have put it through a pretty good test drive. I am one of those people that leave it on 24/7. I hardly ever notice it's there and love that it is light and does not make my wrist sweat. I have had other smart watches in the past including Fossil and Samsung gear. What I did not like about the Fossil is that it was circular in design and kinda big. Plus I was worried about getting it wet or doing any kind of workout with it. My problem with the Samsung gear was that when I would get a notification it would send it to my watch and I would see it and then "dismiss" the notification only to pull out my phone later and see that the same notification was still there. It would make me think that I missed a text or a phone call when in fact I hadn't. It was annoying that I had to clear the notification twice. And again it was circular in design. With the Versa it is still compatible with my galaxy phone and it does dismiss notifications if I want it to. I can also do short pre typed messages. I shower with this watch on everyday and it has showed no signs of the water affecting it. Other than that I have recently swam with it on for more than an hour at a time. I swam in a warm pool and a very hot jacuzzi. I also spent a lot of time in a steam room. Non of these things have affected the performance of the watch in any way that I can tell or measure. I have also enjoyed this latest update that they did, it cleaned up the look of things and gave me more info that i could look at from my watch. I also like the period tracker app that they have on the Fitbit app. I am a man, but I am married to a beautiful woman. I like how my watch will tell me when "my period" is about to start so that I can be on the lookout and get some chocolates when they are needed. For any women reading this, you can also edit your period duration and log symptoms or if you are trying to get pregnant it will tell you when you are most likely ovulating. The other features on this watch are really great. It has an alarm clock and an interval timer and it even has little workouts that it will guide you through. I think what I would suggest to anyone that is on the fence about this watch is, buy it from Bestbuy and try it out for 14 days. You can return anything to Bestbuy within 15 days and get a full refund for that product. So you can use that time to decide if you want to keep it. Oh and one more thing. I really like the bands and the fact that they are so easy to switch out for any type of occasion. Thanks for reading my review and I hope this helps!

The Fitbit i've been waiting for

Fitbit has always been a fitness watch FIRST, so it doesn't have all the bells and whistles that an Apple watch has... and it's not meant for it and it shouldnt be the reason why you buy it. It's for fitness and activity tracking and now with the new fitit versa (and ionic) they are getting into more smartwatch functionality. There are some apps you can add to the versa as well as receive notifications on the watch, but as of this review you can't reply to messages yet. Fitbit says that's coming in an update. You can sideload music directly to the versa using your computer! (so old school!... hopefully they'll get better with this one day too) and then connect your bluetooth headphones to it for real hands-free listening. you can also use pandora plus or Deezer for music.... hopefully bigger named music services will be added one day.... Bear in mind... fitbit is very new to the smartwatch game, the versa is only the second one out.. so there are limited apps and services connected to it now Design-wise... The fitbit versa is thin and very lightweight... you can barely feel it on your wrist. This is what sold me on the versa! I love it. Looks better in person too.. it feels and looks great on the hand. (get a screen protector for it tho.. i've heard folks say that theirs already has scratches on it :-/ ) the information on the watch is very readable and clear...not small at all. There are different kinds of watch bands you can buy and switch out depending on where you are going. Plenty third party folks are selling them now. Battery life is about 3-4 days. It charges pretty quickly too. I like to drop it on the charger while i take a shower so it can top up a lil. The fitbit versa does not have built in GPS (on either edition) nor fitbit pay (the limited edition one does tho... for $30 more) but since i don't run outside, leave my phone <so connected GPS is good for me>> , nor use fitbit pay, those are fine for me. If you need them, get the ionic (which was also a great product... i had that one before but got this one because of the design) I'm loving the direction fitbit is going with their devices... this one is definitely a good one

I'm an avid FitBitter, since Spring 2015. I just upgraded from the Blaze to the Versa. I was so disappointed with the looks of the Ionic (not to mention size!) and I just knew, in the back of my mind, to wait. There HAD to be a "waterproof Blaze 2" coming out, I told myself... Well! Talk about patience being a virtue, I'm well rewarded by my wait! The Versa set up SO easily, it took a half hour to set up, but it told me this at the get-go. literally said make sure you've approx. 30 minutes. That's about all she took, and I'm up and running! Got "Nothing Special" as my first clockface, it loaded quickly and with no problems. I have not loaded my music on yet, but HAVE used it to control the music on my phone with perfect success! downloaded the calculator app, and the water logging app- thrilled to log my water via my watch! :) The 1.000 nit screen... idk what a "nit" is as far as electronics, but Woooooo! 1,000 nits! :D The grey band is very light-grey, and SO soft to the touch! This? Is the soft, comfortable, *waterproof* Fitbit of my dreams!

I'm relatively new to fitness trackers, started using them about 6 months ago. This Versa gave me more 'smart watch' features that were missing on my Polar A370 (which was a solid performing tracker). *Appearance/fit: I like the clean, basic look of this watch. The simple band is comfortable and has never came undone while being used. There are several options for band upgrades on the internet, if the style or fit doesn''t work for you. The biggest advantage of this watch is its light weight. I often forget I have it on. *Battery life is excellent. I get about 4 days of use per charge. The watch and the app on your phone give warnings of low battery levels (given in percentage of life). I have found that at the 25% warning, I can finish my day without worry. *Heart rate readings are pretty accurate. I have checked against 3 other devices (other tracker, chest strap type, and built-in on treadmill) at the same time. Results never varied by more than 2 bmp. I'm ok with that. *I like getting notifications on the watch. You respond to text using 5 pre determined responses, which you can edit/create on your own. There is a moderate amount of apps available to install, but I haven't tried very many of them.

Upgraded from the Blaze since they no longer sell at Best Buy. My blaze froze and luckily I had the Geek Squad warranty so I was able to swap it with the Versa, only paying the difference. I have had it for almost 4 weeks now. Love the sleek look. Love the peach color band. I hated the syncing process which took about half a day and overnight to work. That's why I am giving 4 stars. That was the most frustrating part. There were also a couple of times when I was working out and the watch stopped tracking my exercise for no reason. It hasn't happened again but that ticked me off. Otherwise it's a great watch. Like that there are more options and the interface is better. I don't use the apps so can't comment on that. Love that it's waterproof. Blaze wasn't. This is a great substitute! Only problem is now I have to buy new bands since the blaze bands do not fit the Versa. How convenient is that? I'll buy my bands from other online retailers since they're much cheaper and have more selections. Battery life is okay I suppose. I tend to charge my watch every other day anyway so can't fully comment on the battery life length.

    My Fitbit Upgrade

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I'd been wanting to upgrade from the Charge HR, and had been going back and forth between the Ionic and the Apple watch. I have very small wrists, and the Ionic was huge on me. The small Apple fit better, but the expense was something I couldn't wrap my head around. My procrastination paid off when the Versa came out with its smaller and more attractive watch face. I will say that it is still a little large on me, but I'm getting used to it. Even with the small band on I have an excess of band remaining. I love that you can customize the watch face with your own picture. A couple of things prevent me from giving it 5 stars. First, I was hoping the Versa would not have the same flaw as the Charge, and that is when you are pushing a cart in a store, no steps are registered. But the Versa records no steps then either. Also if you walk up a flight of steps holding something in the arm your watch is on, it will not record the flight of steps, which was also true of my Charge. Trying to get my music from iTunes onto the watch was more time-consuming than I would have liked. You have to turn off Bluetooth on your computer for the transfer, and when you have a wireless mouse and keyboard, that presents a challenge. Only 17 of the 42 songs I was trying to transfer actually worked due to an error message. Overall, the Versa is comfortable to wear and does most of what I need it to do.

I initially wanted the rose gold/purple FitBit, but it was sold out and my bank, this awesome, isn’t kind of “late to the party” to get with the new tech so they don’t support NFC. I got the rose gold/peach and it is a pretty watch. I love the sleekness of it and the functionality of it. It’s definitely a smart watch I’ve been waiting for. A few things though. It took a long time to update the software on high speed internet. I also don’t like that you can’t save clock faces. So for example instead of downloading a few to switch out, it only saves the current one and you have to download a new one again. On the Apple Watch, I had multiple clock faces and they saved and I switched them out often. The screen is also too sensitive. The slightest bump or tap and the screen turns on. I’ve turned off quickview (which stops the face turning on when I pick up my wrist) but quickview isn’t perfect. The band is comfortable, which it great, but it’s extremely difficult to remove and put back on. I also love that I can sync my info with Weight Watchers and the Apple Health app on my iPhone. I did have to swap it out because my first one straight out the box had a dent in the rose gold and though it may seem picky, this isn’t a cheap watch. The new one is perfect and I have a clear TPU rubber case for it. This will definitely get 5 stars if a few software tweaks are done. Happy with my purchase.

    Great Fitness Tracker and Watch

The Fitbit Versa has features that are found in much more expensive fitness track or watches. It has coaching and accurate tracking so that you can keep a good eye on your progress toward your goals and get some guidance on improving your workouts.. The watch is very durable with bands that can be changed. This feature was important to me because the last fitness watches that I had were replaced because the band broke and could not be replaced. The Fitbit Versa has a Low Profile and looks like a watch. It has multiple clock faces to meet your personality or eyesight, the digital clock setting is very easy to read on the go or while exercising. The notifications worked seamlessly with her phone. The music download feature is great from those times that you want to work out without carrying your phone. I found the Pandora app built into the phone to be particularly useful. The Fitbit app for your phone and your PC work very well with the watch. The Fitbit app also work with other fitness apps so you have a lot of flexibility in tracking your progress. I like the Fitbit app’s ability to track food intake, as a extensive list of restaurants and food items which are not constantly inputting information it also has ability to scan bar codes however the barcode function will not always work but manual entry is pretty easy and once it is entered you simply selected from the list it will also track micronutrient basics carbs fat and protein. The sleep tracking function has been incredibly helpful for me and has given me the information I needed to improve the quality of my sleep. This model is also water resistant, you can go swimming or boating without worrying about destroying the watch. However you cannot go scuba diving with the watch and expected to survive. This particular model however does not have the NFC pay capability. For me it is not worth the extra money as I would generally have my phone with me and it doesn’t bother me to tap my phone rather than my wrist. Because Fitbit is so well known in the market there is a lot of third-party products out there that will enhance the Fitbit Versa such as protective bumpers and screen guards. I always recommend as a minimum you put a screen guard on your device. If you’re active Murphy’s Law says you are going to scratch the screen if you don’t have a protective cover the Fitbit Versa has a lot of options in that area. Overall the Fitbit Versa is very durable, water resistant and an accurate tracker. After using the unit for a while I have not found a negative this is amazing because I am usually a nitpicky pessimist – Thus it earned a 5 Star rating its Well worth the money.

    Slightly Disappointed

Although I owned several fitness trackers, this is my first Smart Watch. Since I have an iPhone, I was considering purchasing an Apple Watch 3. Based on the reviews and cheaper price, I chose the Versa. The watch itself is nice. Even with my small wrist size, the watch face is not overpowering. The band is comfortable to and I like that it is a standard type of adjustable band. The screen is clear and nicely visible outdoors. I realize there is a learning curve with the exercise functions and my rating does not include this. The touch screen works well as well as the swiping functions. I would like to be able to arrange the screen apps in an order I use most but not sure if that is possible. I and on day 2 after a charge and am at 61%. Where Fitbit fails for me, and the 3 Star rating, has to do with the watch face apps, transferring of music and the fact that the mobile app is not working for several days that the Fitbit team has been working on with no solution at the time of this review. When you change the watch face, it is not saved anywhere in case you decide to change it. You will have to go the Face store and re-install it. Not too convenient. Transferring music is not ideal. First, for Windows users, you have to download the Fitbit desktop app from the Microsoft Store on your PC. My Microsoft Store is not working and I have been working on the solutions for 4 days now. I had to use a family member’s computer to use the Fitbit desktop app to transfer music. For some reason, it took almost an hour to load 18 songs which is too long. I can’t believe Fitbit does not have a desktop download directly from their website which would help those of us whose Microsoft store is not working. For now, I will have to borrow the family member’s computer to add additional music; not convenient. Lastly, I am one of the lucky ones who was able to setup my Versa before he mobile app failed which is needed to get started using the watch. Until the current mobile app issue is resolved and hopefully a better way to change watch faces and music transferring, I cannot recommend this smart watch. If no updates to these issues soon, I may return mine

    Decent Pebble Replacement

I was devastated when I found out that Fitbit was discontinuing the Pebble smartwatches, however the Fitbit Versa is a pretty decent consolation prize. I've gotten to 5 days on the battery life with some to spare, the interface is pretty easy to use, the screen is very bright and clear, and the notifications are displayed quickly and clearly. I also have smaller arms and the watch is not too big or too heavy for my wrist. There are a few items that I hope Fitbit adds in a future update, to include reading your sleep stats on your phone, message notifications that don't expire, better message reply options, all things that my Pebble had. The reason I didn't give it five stars is that it tracks steps and floors while you're driving, so if you go over a mountain range it'll say you've climbed 70 floors that day and I know I didn't do 10,000 steps in a day that I spent 9 hours driving, but since I only hang long road trips a couple times a year I don't consider it to be a dealbreaker. Other than that, I've had my watch for a couple months now and am still really happy with my purchase.

I have been using this for about 2 months and so far completely happy with it. Getting 4 day battery life as claimed and finally found the watch face that fits my needs. Very comfortable and I am surprised how I don't even know it is there. My Charge always bothered me so not sure why there is a difference. I compared it to the Apple watch, but nothing I could find would justify paying over twice the cost of the Versa. Like your phone and the apple watch, many clock faces and apps do cost you. Not a big deal, but have to say I am not comfortable dealing with foreign pay systems like kpay. Can't go wrong with this device.

The Fitbit Versa works wonderfully. It tracks my steps and motivates me to reach my goals. I wear it while swimming laps, which is one of the big reasons I got it. I use it to track my workouts at the gym as well. It automatically picks up on your activities tracking your heart rate zone. The Versa like all FitBits syncs with Weight Watchers seamlessly which is also a reason I chose it over other brands. The battery life is pretty good, not as long as the Alta HR, but a ton longer than the Samsung Gear2. It goes 3-4 days before a recharge. The band is very comfortable. Swapping bands is not as easy as the Alta HR, but not difficult by any means.

It is my second Fitbit and I’ve been using it for almost a year with no problem. I love it the battery last for about three days. As my metabolism is almost zero after a total thyroidectomy for me to be able to check my steps, daily calories burned, and very important my sleep hours and quality this is a very useful tool and motivation to do my best to sleep more and keep moving as a way to keep my health and weight in balance plus the others features of a Smart watch at a reasonable price.

One of the Best Products I've Bought for Myself

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

When I bought this watch, I wasn't sure if I would like it. I've never been one to like having things on my wrists, but I was willing to give it a shot if it meant that I could keep track of my heart rate easily, as I'd been having issues with it at the time of making the purchase. Well, the verdict is in. I LOVE this watch! To start with the obvious, being able to see the time and date right on my wrist is a huge plus. Normally I would have to get my phone out of my pocket to do either, and now I can simply look at my wrist. I'm also able to see and reply to text messages on my wrist now (reply, to an extent), as well as see who is calling when my phone rings. As far as health aspects go, I'm equally in love with this watch. Not only can I track my heart rate on it at all times, but I can also track my steps taken, distance traveled, floors climbed, elevation gained, etc. I can also receive notifications from my phone, from the app that pairs to the Continuous Glucose Monitor on my arm to know when it's time to use my phone to scan the sensor again to check my blood sugar levels. You can even record water drank, food eaten, and use it to track exercises! Customization options are plentiful on this watch as well, with a variety of clock faces to choose from to configure it to your heart's content. Battery life can either be excellent, decent or abysmal depending on the options that you choose to enable on the watch itself, such as how often it syncs with your phone. But, it charges very quickly even when the charger cradle is plugged into a standard USB block (and not a QC 3.0 USB block). I did have to buy a new band from another vendor though, as the stock band was irritating my skin. That's not something I'm going to take a star away from the review for though, as that was a small price to pay for something that has become such a big part of my everyday life. All in all, I love this watch, and I absolutely recommend it to anyone in the market for something like it.
