Pretty Underrated

First of all, this game is tough. You will have to grind for money to afford new parts & vehicles to be able to compete with the AI. That being said, this is a really fun & enjoyable addition to the Flatout franchise that deserved more love than it received. .

This is a fun destruction derby type racing game. Some of the tracks in this game use recycled parts of maps from the previous Flatout games. Recommended to people who enjoy smashing into and wrecking other cars. It also has a bunch of fun mini games.

This game is very difficult to control the cars and once you fall behind in a race you can never catch up. Also the demolition derby games are locked and I have not yet reached the level where they are unlocked. There are much better choices available for this type of game.

it can be fun with friends but it lost a lot of content and fun from ultimate carnage. no stunt online and the damage engine is greatly reduced. graphics have also declined. arent sequel s suppose to get better???

This game is a lot of fun, good racing elements, theyve changed up a few things from previous titles, but theyve stuck mostly to the same formula, so it doesnt feel too innovative, but if you enjoyed previous ones or if its your first time playing FlatOut, you'll seriously enjoy it.

It is great games with action packed racing fun for all ages. Its has great graphics and worth the money for the game. The best so far this year for racing other than Forza 6. Great for gift giving or birthdays.

I picked this up being a fan of a previous game in the series. The graphics are subpar and really could have used more work. I get that the starting vehicles are junk but they are of a poor graphical quality as well. The mini games are a blast though.

Flatout Ultimate Carnage was one of my favorite 360 games, so I jumped on pre-ordering this title and I am not disappointed. One standout from Ultimate Carnage was the sound design: I loved hearing the gravel hit the inside of my wheel-wells when flying down dirt trails. Sound design is great here too, hearing the sound of sheet metal scraping together when fighting other cars for position. The graphics are excellent and I have had no performance issues (e.g. drops in frame-rate) so far. You can customize your car with different skins, horns, and nitro exhaust appearances (most need to be unlocked). I wish you could more specifically customize your car's colors rather than just being able to pick from 5 pre-colored skins, however. I'm really hoping that the school/prison bus and "Flatmobile" are unlockable in this iteration.
The only small issue I have is with the tracks: I haven't played Ultimate Carnage in years, but the tracks here seem very familiar. I don't think they are exact copies of tracks from the previous game, but as you race along, a lot of the areas will seem like you've raced on them before. I know that some of the demolition tracks are recycled for sure, but there are new Arena maps for the survival derbies.
I have probably only played about 10 hours so far (all offline), but if you were a fan of the old Flatout games or a fan of fast-paced demolition-style arcade racing, I would definitely recommend Flatout 4.
