Customers are saying

Customers regard the Flex - 8.9" Tablet's ease of use and screen resolution as significant strengths, with many praising its user-friendly interface and high-quality display. However, concerns exist regarding the battery life, which several users found to be insufficient for extended use. Limited storage space and the single micro USB port also drew criticism from some customers.

The screen is great on this tablet. Its retina good. I am getting 5 plus hours of battery life and thats more than I expected. Its never sluggish or slow. It runs full Windows 10 and it does it well. For the price it can't be beat. Bottom line is that its worth every penny of the $150 price tag. Don't let the brand name scare you off. If you don't like it return it within 15 days or purchase. Its that simple.

The tablet works really well, as expected. The Windows operating system is the same as a PC, which is not as intuitive as a phone OS because it has many more features. Someone new to Windows would need to use Google or Bing to search how to change settings, such as put the OS in tablet mode so the keyboard will come up when touching an entry, or make the text bigger in applications. The high resolution is great for watching movies. I do wish the battery was rated higher than 4 hours of continuous video, but I haven't needed to plug it in every day, like my laptop, either. Windows store allows you to purchase applications that can be shared and syncs between devices. I have a Windows phone and laptop and all three work well together.

Nice Full PC in a Tablet

This small seized tablet is packed with a full version of Windows 10 which is quite impressive. It runs very well for what it is and completely worth the $1509 price tag. Honestly I would take this over any tablet such as an iPad or Android. There's just more to it with it's quad core Atom Processor,, 2 GB RAM, 32 GB Hard Drive (20 GB after Operating System) and you can put a microSD card up to 128 GB to expand the memory even further. Did I mention that it runs a full version of Windows 10! I have had no problems with it so far oh and you can connect your backup USB Power Bank such as an Anker to charge it on the go if you run low on battery. I would definitely recommend this to anyone! :)

    An "ok" Windows 10 tablet

I received this as a Christmas present. After starting up the tablet, the first thing I did was run all the updates. So far, it's been ok. I like the screen resolution and the light weight. The battery last as long as expected and good enough for my needs. I use it for web browsing (Firefox), news reading, watching videos and occasional light gaming. Now the bad. Most of the time when I turn it on after it has sat idle for a while, the wifi is either not connected to my network or it's connected but says there's no internet connection. I have to either restart the tablet or disconnect and reconnect to my network. Also, it is very laggy at times. For example, I'll be reading news in Flipboard, and when I try to flip a page, it will take up to 8 seconds for the page to actually flip. It is also laggy in other apps. Overall, the touch screen sometimes doesn't register my touch.

returned the first one bc unit would not charge unless completely shut down. 2nd one uses power faster than it can charge and micro usb port is extremely finicky, resets connection on slightest movement... essentially to charge these things you just got to set it and forget it ... for about 12 hours

    Exactly What I Needed

I was looking for an inexpensive touchscreen Windows computer for use as an in-car computer. After looking at convertible laptops in-store, I talked to a representative who pointed me at the convertibles too. On the way there, we passed the shelf with this on it and it looked perfect for what I wanted. I would have preferred a full USB port to connect with my OBD cable easily or at least 2 micro USB ports so it would be easier to charge and use an on the go adapter simultaneously. I went with this over a cheaper Windows tablet due to the inclusion of the gps and compass. A nice feature for a car computer. I didn't expect the thing to be a beast in terms of processing power, but it works well enough for what I need while maintaining a decent battery life too.

    Terrible Tablet

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I just bought this tablet yesterday and found it to have touchy spots (glitches) all the time and it freezes sometime and about 30 percent of the time you have to tap harder than you want to just to get it to do what you want I don't mean slamming your finger on it but tapping a little harder than normally you would. Also the resolution is far to high for this size tablet so high on it's recommended settings I could not even see the text (the text was as small as a pencil point) and check boxes were impossible to touch without touching the wrong one most of the time so I had to lower the resolution to 1080 x 800 and even that is kind of small. Now the bigger problems first after giving it a full charge the charge lasted less than 3 hours and I had to charge it again also the charger is very cheap and I doubt it will last more than a few months. Not the worst problem of all This is today I used it for an hour while ridding the bus to work and when I took the bus back home I turned it on and it gave me an error message and now just shows a very dim back light but nothing else I can't even turn it off to reset this junk. This is the worst experience I have ever had and now I will return it and get something worth the money like a Amazon Fire, or a Samsung Galaxy A.

    Awful Product

Decided to buy the Insignia Flex tablet since I wanted to get a tablet for school, and it is absolute junk. Today I spent an hour trying to get the device to turn on. It is very slow, never connects to Wi-Fi, and has to be plugged in constantly. With a 4500 mAh battery, I was expecting at least half a day use, my 650 mAh battery for a vaporizer lasts longer! Will be returning the device tomorrow and just save my money and get an iPad.

    Cheap Tablet and Not Recommended

I bought this tablet in early June 2016. I had nothing but trouble with it and had to either try System Restore or Factory Restore. Neither one fixed the problems. One of them being the installed camera would not work. After 3 months of this, I finally decided to have Best Buy look at it and then received store credit for a different tablet. I also want to point out that this was a Windows 10 based tablet. Although I like Win 10 and have it on my desktop and laptop, but it is just not good on this tablet.

I returned the device 3 times because eventually it would not even recognize that it has WiFi. Tried to reinstall windows but did not fix the problems. Device would be great if it was not for the wireless always eventually failing.
