Great sound and simple to use. Bus-powered, driven by my MacBook Pro. A perfect means for using my laptop for virtual instruments during practice and performances.

Works well, great size, and feels well built. My only issue is that it sometimes disconnects from my computer randomly and won’t output sound to my headphones even though it’s still receiving power from my computer. This typically happens after just turning on my computer, and is fixable by unplugging and replugging the Scarlett, but is a minor annoyance.

If you need an audio interface for Podcasts, recordings, voice acting, or just vocals in general! Then Focusrite won’t let you down. I’ve had the solo for five years now Genuine 1.
But I recently moved it to my streaming set up on my desk!
So I need to buy another one for my studio so i went with there new GEN 4.
And I couldn’t be any more ecstatic. It shows through the years how they have improved.
My GEN four is so much better at keeping the crystal clear and the air noise out of the microphone!
If you’re looking for a professional, studio quality, audio interfaced Focusrite will have your hands down for the best prices!

Wonderful hardware. Just got an XLR microphone and needed a way to get it connected to my computer. Has 48v power to supply, which I need for my mic. Also has a headphone jack and drives my headphones great. Does great for gaming. Only con I can think of is having to have the buffer size higher. If I have the buffer too low I get a lot of distorted noise output in my headphones.

I bought this to replace my UR12 Audio Interface. I use it for streaming and gaming. I like the light up features the scarlett has, BUT there wasnt a way I can find on how to make the XLR input channel from Stereo to Mono. This means that my microphone could only be heard through one side of the headphones. I've tried changing the sending is my sound settings from 2 channel to 1 channel, but that just makes channel 1 the mono channel. (Channel 2 has the XLR microphone input) I've searched far and wide for a fix and could not find any without downloading additional programs and having them run along with it. (This would create delay). So for now, I will be planning to return this item until i discover a way to make the channel 2 microphone output mono audio.
