While it's no Bull Durham, For Love of the Game is a surprisingly subtle piece of filmmaking by director Sam Raimi. Costner, gives a solid performance and this movie may surprise you if you missed it some 18 years ago.

If you love sports movies, you'll love this film. If you love Kevin Costner films, you most certainly will love this film! Great story and great ending. You will not be disappointed!

I have spent years going from DVD to Blu Ray. I'm not a fan of going the digital route so I buy all my movies. This is one of those odd movies for me that I really enjoyed. Still enjoy watching it.

This is reminiscent of the early 90's movie Bull Durham except on a more serious note and finding there is more to life than sports, which hopefully most people already know.
