For The Fallen is the Debut album from Memoriam. Hailing from the U.K., Memoriam was formed as a tribute to late Bolt Thrower drummer Martin Kearns. Memoriam consists of Karl Willetts & Andy Whale (vocals, former drummer) from Bolt Thrower and Scott Fairfax & Frank Healy (guitars, bass) from Benediction. That being said, they basically sound like Bolt Thrower. Lyrical themes include death, loss, war and politics. Definitely worth checking out if you are a fan of Bolt Thrower or just straight forward Death Metal.

    This is not Bolt Thrower!

Being a fan of the mighty Bolt Thrower (RIP), I had high hopes that this album would bear some similarities. Alas, this is not the case. Still, this is decent death metal, and quite listenable - after all, it is Karl Willets on vocals. The album is a mishmash of different influences from each band member. It's a solid album, but it doesn't compare to classic Bolt Thrower.
