This is a great game for those interested in Finances, or teaching their kids finances. I recommend this game more for teens and not for kids, just because its not super intuitive for kids, e.g. you can purchase "Stock Shares" in properties you and others own. I give it a four star because of this factor, its not recommended for young kids, more for the older ones. In addition, this game is like monopoly, rounds takes an hour and half or more. Buying used from best buy was no problem at all either! Great used game, have had no problems running at all. I play this on my Wii U, and it is terrific!

Fortune Street is similar to Monopoly in that you buy properties and charge other players rent when they land on them. But this game adds a lot more features like promoting your character, buying out other players, random chance cards that can turn the game at any time, and much more. On easy mode the game does a good job of walking you through your turn and automating most of the game. You can also play on a more difficult setting where games can last for hours! I really enjoy this game. You can just jump into easy mode at first, but once you start to really understand the goals and rules of the game you get thoroughly engrossed. This game was hard to find and rare for a while, so if you're interested, pick it up now while it's only $10 used. My used copy did NOT have the original case or instruction booklet, but given the age of the game I didn't really expect it.

Monopoly + stock market + minigames

It's "monopoly" at its core, so the gameplay is long, really long. But if you have at least an hour or 2 to kill, this game is great. There is save option, so you can always exit the pick up where you left off. I played the "normal" version (with buying and selling stocks) and it's really not that complicated. The does a great job of explaining the game mechanics on the fly. That said, this game is best suited for an older player, maybe not your 3 year old.

    Better than Monopoly!

I'm not much of a Monopoly fan but this game is a blast. They have easy rules which is basic Monopoly. If you've never played before, you might want to start with those rules. They also have the standard rules modes. This mode is a riot. You not only build properties but you can buy & sell stock in any "district" you choose, whether or not you own property there. You can also build on "empty lots" which can be anything from a checkpoint, circus, tax office, real estate agency, balloonport, home or 3 start hotel. It makes the game very interesting, challenging, frustrating but most of all addicting. The only bad part is if you play with friends you can't save the game which is disappointing because you can actually set your own limit as to how high you want the score to go! If you love Monopoly, you will absoultely love this game!
