With a poor rollout, its higher price point, and the other HBO services like NOW and GO, HBOMAX comes off as superfluous, and you can argue it is, but having nearly all of Warner Bros catalog (some not available likely due preexisting contracts) at your fingertips is great finding something for everyone; if you like classic films you have TCM, if you love Studio Ghibli (Kiki's Delivery Service being very near and dear to my heart) then it's there as well, and if you want all the DC films (no matter how controversial you think they are) they're there for you too.  Furthermore with the past HBO services being rolled into HBOMAX it makes it less redundant. In regards to PQ....it is....fine, not necessarily the best like Netflix or Amazon Prime, so they need to work on that more and should have.  And the layout, I personally like it quite a bit, granted I access it through Google Chromecast meaning that I greater control than a standard remote control, but visually it feels more akin to Netflix and Disney+ (I don't have that service, so I'm basing it off of screenshots), and the purple and black is a nice visual aesthetic, it's far more streamlined than Amazon Prime, and the Hubs are a nice addition.  However it is to mention that I have also tried it with Roku and while the layout is still very straightforward because of how recently it was added the app isn't very fluid,  something they need to fix. Should you get it?  Yes, if you are looking for another service with a vast library of films of every genre for any age, or if you're looking to replace another.  But an issue becomes the price, is it deal for what you get?  Yes, obviously, 15 dollars for hundreds of thousands of films and series is always a steal, but that price compared to its competition makes it feel like less of a deal or a harder hit to your wallet; and perhaps it feels like less of a deal because HBOMAX does not have an immediate culture explosion like "The Mandalorian," it does not have its "House of Cards" or "Stranger Things," there is high quality content such as "Raised by Wolves," but time it may/will starting with a fan supported restoration of the mired "Justice League," and furthermore with HBOMAX having HBO talent it's only a matter of time before they create the next "The Wire," "Game of Thrones" and even more recently "Watchmen"

HBO Max is Bomb, Overall the Movie selection is good with more movies to come, 4K movies and additional content is very easy to find because of the ease of use ui. I received my HBO MAX as a 14 day free trial and by day 4 I paid for my first month, we'll see how it goes.

Like many recent HBO Max subscribers, I wanted to watch Wonder Woman 84 on Christmas day so I signed up the day before to get everything set up and after using for a couple days, the app for ROKU could use another update. While HBO Max did not crash during Wonder Woman 84, it did crash on me a couple times watching other content. While other streaming apps have their issues, HBO Max is the only ROKU app that has crashed on me. Other than that, everything else has been great. Films and TV shows were easy to find, the UI was easy to navigate and HBO Max has one of the best catalogs of content, rivaling Disney Plus. Really happy I subscribed.

I'm loving HBO max so far. This has some exclusive content not available on the normal HBO channels. I got to see WW84 and Little Things as part of the same as theater releases. That is a great bonus. They will be releasing more big titles as part of the same day as movie theater release. Looking forward to that. Only point of improvement is to improve the app - else HBO Max is great.

A 2 week trial isn't bad if you're looking forward to WW84 or a few other flicks or shows you're really into, but the Ps4 app has some buffering issues and HBO just straight up won't play in any browser on any pc I tried, so if that's your main way of watching I wouldn't consider subscribing. When it does work the video quality is pretty good and there is a decent selection.

It's Decent, But A Bit Overpriced

I got this HBO Max free trial that came with Injustice 2 video game that I purchased. Unfortunately, the free trial only lasts for 14 days. Now as for the service itself, it has a decent variety of shows and movies, but it's not as extensive as Netflix or some other online streaming service. It does have pretty much almost all the WB shows and movies, but there are some things still missing. The great thing is I can watch all my DC superhero shows and movies onto one platform. I do have a minor nitpick with this free trial. In order to use this free subscription, you have to provide all your info and card number so they can bill you after the 14 day period. So, you got to cancel it before the 14 days are up or else they will charge you as a customer. I think the service is decent and has a vast library of movies and shows, The layout of HBO Max looks very well put together. But the price of HBO Max is a bit overpriced compared to other competitors. If they lower the price a bit more, then I think it would be worth it.

HBO max is great! This free trial really got me to sign up for the full subscription. I watched WW84 on Christmas Day and not to mention all the other content they have. If you get a chance, watch “The Undoing”! It’s a phenomenal show!! They’ve also got a entire catalog of other movies and shows you’ll like. Totally worth it!

Love the title selection and original programming options, the one thing I will say is that trying to close out of the show, the app just gets stuck and I have to just go ahead and turn the TV off after trying to exit out of something forever so technically it’s got some issues but entertainment wise it’s perfect.

Free trial was enjoyed except I got into a show that I wasn’t able to finish in 14 days, so I’ve moved into the monthly charges. I finished that show but started another, and now they have the new Denzil movie coming in 4K. Ultimately we can justify the monthly fee if they continue to offer new movie release that are just opening in the theatre. New Godzilla versus Kong coming also in 4K. I do wish they had more shows in 4K but the picture is good and the sound is fine. Netflix has more 4K content but HBOMax has more real movies where as Netflix has more and more originals these days then actual big name movies. Also less dubbed / subtitle items where Netflix seems to have more and more items that are dubbed or subtitle these days not to mention they keep raising their prices. If HBOMax keeps up the new movies releases and keeps price the same they might just be replacing Netflix in our home. Only gave 4 stars due to the lack of 4K material at this time but 5 stars for availability.

I love that AT&T subscribers can get this service for free with certain phone plans, and stream to their hearts content. There’s a lot of great content and the ability to download for offline viewing later is a nice plus. The app is a little buggy but hopefully these things will get worked out with time.

hbo max is my favorite streaming service by far. Highly recommend this, and it is a great value getting it with some blu-ray purchases. Has great classic sitcoms and for 2021, some great movie premieres that should be in theaters that are also premiering on hbo max.

Watched WONDER WOMAN 1984. Really enjoyed it. I plan to redeem my HBO Max through summer time, so I can view upcoming movies like Mortal Kombat which are HBO exclusives. HBO is easy to use and has apps on mainly all devices. Lots of movies and films added weekly,

The trial worked as it should. Ended up keeping the subscription afterwards because it’s nice that so many movies are coming directly to this platform as they are releasing in theaters. I will probably cancel when that initiative changes in a few months.

HBO Max is awesome. This seems to be where a lot of new movie releases are hitting during Covid times while a lot of the theaters are closed. This streaming service is almost a must have these days, but this particular product is just a preview.

This trial allowed me to access HBO Max for free for two weeks. I found the service to be superb. Not only does it include the vast library of award-winning HBO programming, but it also has entertaining originals and selections from other Warner properties.

The Samsung TV app is kind of wonky but the service itself is great. HBO's full stable of amazing shows plus whatever movies they have on offer and then all the HBO Max Originals, of which there are several that are already worth your time.
