I was looking for a low cost service, I ended up trying a few services and this was on par with the other 2nd tier cell providers. I won't say the service was bad but it was a little cumbersome to set it up.

Definitely Worth Checking Out

I wasn’t expecting much when I picked this up. I was pleasantly surprised with how well it works. It uses AT&T LTE and my coverage is great and fast. I hit a few snags setting up their separate app for calls but it’s been smooth since. The promos for earning extra data is a welcomed bonus. Highly recommend checking this out.

FreedomPop - Great Value

Setup my wife with FreedomPop in September 2018. It has worked well for her occassional/casual use for emergencies when she is out and about. Worked so well, I decided to convert my service over to FreedomPop in December 2018 on the Unlimited Talk & Text & 1GB LTE Data plan. One month into the service it is working great. I could not find a service with better value, and does what I need it for. Purchased additional VIP phone support which is worth the value. Knowledge support staff but only available M-F during US Pacfic coast business hours...hope they can expand that time coverage in the future.

Inexpensive service for your old phone

I use this service for my kids and have been very happy with it. If you have an old AT&T or Verizon 4G phone laying around, this will work with it. Verizon was forced to have unlocked GSM when they came out with 4G. I use this on an old Verizon Android (Galaxy 5S), and old Verizon iPhone 4S, and an old Verizon iPhone 5S. It uses VoIP and is best with Google Hangouts on the iPhones (to have it ring like a normal phone). The Freedompop app is fine for the android phone and is the only way you get the unlimited minutes and texts (the Hangouts stuff uses your data). The price is fantastic and you can add up to 500MB per month by adding "friends". My three phones are on three accounts and are "friends" with each other. There are also a few friend lists you can use online.

Cell service for less than a cup of coffee?

I have to admit that I am a long time FP user. I know how to make the most program - which you can learn about in the FreedomPop forums - and I couldn't be happier with the new GSM SIM plans. For $7 a month, you can get unlimited talk, text and a GB of data on the AT&T network. It's stellar. If you have access to Wi-Fi on a regular basis and don't want to pay $50-100 a month for an unlimited plan that you won't use, then this is your ticket to getting money back in your pocket.

FreedomPop has been awesome for me as I have a few devices. This service is a great value and has been flawless for me. It uses one of the big two carriers so coverage has been no problem. I highly recommend especially if you're looking to save some cash!

I purchased one of these from them on their website and an very glad I did. This is a great deal, and cannot compete with buying data from another carrier. It is inexpensive and runs off the ATT Nationwide network! Happy with my purchase!

Great Value for Money and best backup phone

FreedomPop supports Wi-Fi Calling, a feature that allows you to make calls and send texts over Wi-Fi. It's handy if you're using the carrier's free service with its caps on texts and talk time, as you'll be able to use Wi-Fi for a lot of your calling and texting needs.
Other special features include mobile hotspot support. FreedomPop also features rollover data, in which up to 500MB per month of unused data can carry over to the next month. Rollover costs $3.99 per month, but another option, Rollover Plus, costs $6.99 and lets you carry over up to 1GB of data. Your unused data doesn't expire, though you are capped at storing 20GB for the standard Rollover plan and 40GB for Rollover Plus. You can also earn data by referring friends to FreedomPop.

This sim card is perfect for people visiting the US for a short time or for those who first want to try FreedomPop's service. You cannot go wrong with this price. I've been using FreedomPop's 4G LTE sim card for a year. It uses AT&T's network, and the coverage is really good. Highly recommend!

Call quality

Unreliable quality and simply don't waste time

All calls and text are unlimited but they are through VOIP (voice over internet protocol). Basically you use freedompop app which encodes/converts the signal, send it through internet. I know what i was going to get it, unlike others, but this quality is just terrible. Don't waste your time. Let's put, only 30% of what your talking will be heard on the other side. I am glad, i tried only this $10-3 month membership. If you are unsure, try the cheapest plan or may be free one and you will know what i am referring to.
Side note : The support was ok and the system is automated well, though i have heard they charge customers for no reason later lol.
