The first four Friday the 13th movies are the best. Even though it felt weaker than its predecessors this Friday delivers.

JMO, but all of the Friday the 13th movies are fun! Some are more fun than others, but all in all, it was great to watch again.

Finally Paramount Pictures has decided to release another film in the Friday The 13th franchise. This is basically the same as the releases of the first three movies.

The Final Chapter is arguably the best of the entire series. It’s better written, acted, and all together a more satisfying Friday the 13th experience.

I don’t go in looking for a great film, but a bloody mess. And this is exactly what that is.

This Deluxe Edition of Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter is the third sequel in the Friday the 13th series and is the last one to be directly one after the other (in the F13th universe at least). It also has child actor icon of the ‘80s Corey Feldman, who takes on Jason. There are a lot of corny scenes and some of the murders are very over-the-top, but hey... That’s what makes a Friday the 13th movie a Friday the 13th movie!
It starts off at the end of the part 3 where they are loading Jason’s body into the ambulance and take to the morgue. He soon escapes after killing a few people. Now these young 20-or something year old kids are renting a house in the Crystal Lake area, but not exactly in Crystal Lake. The house next-door to the rented home is where young Tommy (Feldman) and his sister Trish live with their Mother. They soon meet Rob who is “hunting for bears” but really is searching for his sister who was murdered in Part 2. The only continuity problem is that it is suppose to take place just a day after the events in Part 3 and since Part 3 took place a day after the events in Part 2 that would make Part 3 be on Sunday the 15th?
This is a great buy and is so far loaded with the most special features out of all the other deluxe releases.
Complete your collection with the other Deluxe Editions...
Friday the 13th Uncut
Friday the 13th Part 2
Friday the 13th Part 3 3D
Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter
Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning
Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives
His Name was Jason: 30 Years of Friday the 13th
Parents are strongly CAUTIONED, this contains material not appropriate for children under 15 or 16 years of age (in my opinion).

Finally, a real "Deluxe Edition"

After Paramount released the first three "Friday the 13th" movies in so-called "deluxe editions" that left much to be desired, they finally got it right with a feature-deep issue of "The Final Chapter". The movie itself is pretty standard fare, although the finale does pack more of a punch that other sequels, but the extras are where its at. Two great and entertaining/informative commentary tracks -- one with the director, and one with fans (horror directors Adam Green and Joe Lynch) -- lots of featurettes and more. Well worth the double (or triple) dip.

After being mortally wounded and taken to the morgue, murderer Jason Voorhees spontaneously revives and embarks on a killing spree as he makes his way back to his home at Camp Crystal Lake.
