Bad experiences and poor Frigidaire customer service. Do NOT buy this 20 CF Frigidaire Freezer.
- We owned a Frigidaire freezer for 15+ years, and it worked like a champ. Based upon that experience, we chose to replace that unit with this bigger one.
- We purchased this unit in July 2024 (along with the Best Buy Extended Warranty.) It has failed twice under the Frigidaire standard first year warranty.
- It initially failed in April 2025. We lost about $1,000 in food. Online, Frigidaire claims they will cover $250 in spoilage, but they refused our claim. Frigidaire sent a local 3rd party repair company to service the unit. Instead of inspecting the primary freezer component and doing the repair right, they replaced a part which was easily for them to access.
- The freezer failed again 2 months later in early June 2025. This time Frigidaire sent their own repair person who immediately identified the issue (the main freezing component behind the inside panel was covered with frost for some reason.) He mentioned the new units which are digital do not hold up like our previous freezer. More food spoilage, and weeks of the freezer alarm going off about once every 1-2 hours, including all through the night which has kept our dog awake.
- Our unit was supposed to be repaired on 6/16/25, but they cancelled that appointment. Frigidaire staff has been friendly, however, this process has been horrible. Our unit is now due to be repaired on 6/25. Unit is currently unplugged.

This product is horrible. It's only been 4 months and it no longer holds a freeze and continuously beeps that the temperature is too high with no resolution. My food is thawing. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Bought this in Dec 2023, installed by Best Buy in Jan 2024. It is Nov 2025 and found this morning that the freezer interior is warm and all the food in it spoiled. We bought this specifically because it is supposed to have an audible alarm when warm or the door left open. No alarm warned us of any issues. Just ruined $500 worth of food. Spoke with Best Buy and their response was "regret to inform you" they won't fix it. Best Buy's customer service is as bad as this unit's quality.

Good looking freezer so far so good. I hope it lasts a long time since the one I purchased prior (Whirlpool) took a crap in one month and spoiled $1500 worth of food.

First one delivered was damaged and the light didn’t work. Best Buy replaced it with another one which had minor damage, but which we accepted. The light went out the next day. Two months later this supposedly frost-free freezer is continually frosted over so badly that we can’t see the food inside and the outside structure is bowing. Also, no lock (I thought all freezers had locks these days).
