This is a good a/c for one room. It cools quickly and the thermostat works well. I did not like that you can't have a straight line for the air vents. They either blow to the side or at an angle. You can get around this by adjusting both sets to point inward and that seems to do the trick. It should also be noted that the filter needs to be cleaned every 240 hours. If you are using it during very hot days or regularly, that means you need to clean the filter every 10 days or so.

I have this a/c for about a month; just in time for this horrid heat wave. It is a little noisier than I would prefer but it does seem to get the job done reasonably well. Easy to install but instructions are not that clear. No humidifier as stated so I don't know why that feature was even advertised. All in all, I think the 4 stars are appropriate.

I replaced a smaller old unit with this new one. It cools better and love having a remote with digital thermostat. It is just a little noisy when operating. Otherwise, a great unit.

I enjoy this air conditioner very much. For the price it is great. The only drawback I found was that it can be a little loud. I have it in my bedroom right next to my bed and I sleep comfortably with it on throughout the night over the summer.

Not bad A/C for the money. Keeps the LARGE room cool and doesn't cost anything to run. My electric bill only has gone up $6.50 a month to run this almost everyday. GREAT DEAL for comfort! Would recommend this!

I've had this A/C for just over 2 years and I've been very happy with it. The thing I love about this model is, once the room reaches the set temperature, it shuts down. It then wakes up every 15-30 minutes to check the temperature and then will stay off or start back up as needed. So it does what it is supposed to do and it does it well but here is the big surprise. My compressor died after 2 years so I called Frigidaire and explained the problem. Naturally I assumed I'd have to ship the unit across the country and pay more to have it fixed under warranty than it would cost for a new one. The rep I spoke to was excellent, listened to my problem, and after checking into it he informed me that I will be contacted with a return number so that I can bring it back to Best Buy to exchange for a new one at no cost. So the unit works great, is fairly priced, and the company stands behind their warranty! From now on I won't buy any appliance unless it is a Frigidaire.

My main ac blew out of my home and being in south MS you need AC to make it by. This unit was well rated and good price. I brought unit home, installed easily. Directions were easy, incl remote, and even added window seal/foam pieces. My living room went from 92 to 75 within an hour. Small looking unit, keeps its cool!

Bought this to replace a Maytag 5000 BTU unit that gave up the ghost. Read a lot of good things about Frigidaire so gave it a try for this purchase. Used in a bedroom that gets a lot of afternoon sun so need it to cool the room quickly at night for sleeping. Works great! Cools room down in no time and is is much quieter than old unit. Highly recommend it!

its a good a/c it cools off my bedroom My bedroom up in the attic . I use to run 2 5,000 BTU a/c in my room til they died last week I needed a a/c I went to home depot and lowes price check them they werent cheap and I wasnt going to walmart or target to buy a/c because they dont last. You get what you pay for. So I went to best buy to look around I found out the a/c was sale so I bought it. The same one at home depot went for 300.00 something its good to shop around. Now my bedroom like a meat locker

I purchased this to replace an A/C that was just too small for my room and kept freezing up. I read all the comments on it and the only thing I had read that made me wary a bit was a lot of them complained about "noise". I have to say that after plugging this in and letting this run if they consider it noisy I'd hate to see what they'd think I would consider noisy. This ran much quieter than my previous A/C. Now I have only ever ran it on low, have to say my room is quite large and find it amazing that at the low setting it keeps it nice and chilly compared to my other one at high. I love the sleep setting and the energy setting is awesome too. There is no going to bed and freezing, nor waking up to it being hot and humid as most mornings are when the A/C does not work right. I'd highly recommend it.

I have a small one bedroom apt that this a/c does a great job of cooling. I have it in the window above my bed and it puts me right to sleep. It doesn't make much more noise then your standard fan which is awesome. I was a little mislead when I purchased it though, I thought the "temperature control" feature meant that it would turn itself off once the room reached that degree. In actuality, the fan just goes to a lower speed. I love this a/c. However, we just had a heavy rain and the a/c sprayed water all over my bed and it wasn't the mounting job either. I sealed it very well when I installed it. This may be the only serious flaw. So far at least. It's only been about 3 weeks.

My wife and I live primarily on the 3rd floor of a townhouse in what was originally an attic. The sun beats down on the roof and makes this area extremely hot in the summer months. We've gone through two wall air conditioners that were absolutely inadequate for the daytime heat , but this Frigidaire unit is more than equal to the task. For the first time in 6 years, we're actually cool in our principal living area despite the heat of the June days because of the exceptional cooling ability of this air conditioner. We previously had an LG that stopped cooling altogether after just a year or two and which was never able to do a proper job of cooling during the daylight hours. I heartily recommend this unit to anyone shopping for a room air conditioner.

This is an excellent ac. It's small yet really powerful. I would definitely recommend.

Great for the price, reasonable quiet (remember, I said reasonable not totally). The front indicator lights' descriptions are printed in about as small of a font size possible so it is difficult to discern what you have actually done when you click the handy remote. We are pleased with the purchase (bought 2 to supplement Central Air not having to run just keep a couple of bedrooms cool) but the manufacturer stopped just short of making a great product (probably saves that for a model sold for another $150).

Overall it's a great unit, easy to install, work pretty well considering I use it in living room. The noise is a bit loud for a bedroom. In the living room, I still have to crank up the volume while watching tv. Overall, good product.

We purchased this unit 3 weeks ago, worked awesome, cooled down 2 rooms fairly quickly & here we are today returning it because we noticed a smell coming from it, turns out the insulating foam wrapped around one of the tubes was melting. We kept our unit on energy saver at a comfortable 72 degrees, so it never ran continuously. What a bummer, we really liked this Frigidaire air conditioner because it was inexpensive and worked great. *Buyer Beware* Best Buy was gracious and gave us a full refund. We'll buy from here again, just a different brand.

Pros - Easy to install, cools quite well, decent energy efficiency considering it is a window unit, not a whole lot of vibration from the compressor as is so common in window units. Cons - I wish the fan had a higher speed or that it could move the air more forcefully. The fan seems a bit underpowered considering it is an 8,000 BTU air conditioner. I would have hoped the fan could help circulate the air to the other side of the room a bit better. Also i wish the compressor had a bit more sound insulation as it does get a bit loud when it kicks in. All in all, money well spent.

needed an air conditioner for my bedroom - and this was an amazing find. it cools off the room quickly and the e-saver feature keeps the bills right and at the same time the room doesnt lose its cool. love it - would definitely recommend this product.
