Still one of the best Marine training and combat movies I've ever seen! And the 4KUHD process just made the movie even grittier, louder and even more realistic. Definitely worth the purchase!

You all know we've seen this classic movie, so I won't go through the rigamarole to explain. I bought this because of the Steelbook and 4k capability for my future Home theater set up. I had to get it.

What an incredible classic! There is not much more to say other than the picture quality is a night and day difference when compared to previous home video releases. The steelbook is a must for collectors!

Full Metal Jacket on blu-ray is a must-see. Clear, precise images, fantastic audio. The movie itself is no-holds-barred look at the Vietnam War and how it chewed up certain members of a platoon of young Marines. A young Vincent D'Onofrio is a sight to behold as a slowly disintegrating casualty.

You know this movie so what you want to know is does it look and sound good? Yes. Yes it does. Presentation is amazing and overall the movie looks and sounds the best it probably ever has. Just get it.

Excellent artwork on the steelbook and just a gorgeous transfer of an ugly film. Full Metal Jacket is the fourth in the WB Kubrick Steelbook series and I'm completely in love with it. Great steelbook

Essential vietnam film. It's different than Platoon or Apocalypse Now. I would say all three are the trilogy of Vietnam films. Would highly recommend it. The steelbook captures the mood pretty well.

Movie has a definite uptick in clarity and better color in 4K. This is the best this movie has ever looked. Sound is also good. Steelbook has very cool artwork which is a bonus if you are a collector.

Buy this movie and watch it, gift it or whatever! The minute you put this in, one is immediately taken back to the last time you watched it as a young person or as a teenager! A trip down memory lane of sorts and not to mention you will be using the "one liners" for months and years to come!

just rewatched this with my awesome headphones on my hidef laptop on bluray disc. incredible. somewhat shocked r lee ermy and maybe even Vincent donofrio weren't nominated for awards.

I was amazed to find this movie at a wonderful price my son has been looking for this movie I remember watching it years ago and I love this movie so I had to purchase it for him he loves it I would definitely recommend this movie

This is a classic by a classic director.....Buy the movie, and watch it and see why Kubrick was great. A movie than can be watched over and over. Steelbook is really cool too.

A genuine Kubrick classic! "Only st33rs and qu33rs come from Texas son, which one are you?" Love this movie. Unlike other war movies like Heartbreak Ridge with Clint Eastwood, so Hollywood and fake. This one's a classic with a definite cult following.

Had to add this to my collection when I saw it at Best Buy for $7.99. Great movie that looks and sounds even better on Blu-Ray. Audio is outstanding. This is one of the best war movies ever made in my opinion.

Kubrick continues to remain relevant and this film, now in 4K, continues to be amongst his finer works. Now we await for the remastering of Eyes Wide Shut and A Clockwork Orange.

Full Metal Jacket was a "Keeper" for me when it first came out on VHS tape. Now the video format has changed so this is a replacement for my video library. If you want a taste of the horror of war, from boot camp to battle, this movie will move you to rethink any preconceived ideas you may have. Of course, each soldiers experience is unique but, inevitably they will share a common bond. This movie explores them like no other I have seen. Directed by Stanley Kubrick.

Again this is one of my husbands favorite movies. It's more for movie buff's who like war movies. I as a female didn't care for some part's of the movie. He enjoyed it very much.
