Honestly, the Comedy Central movies for Futurama were the only misstep the series took. First came Bender's Big Score, then this entry landed... To mixed success. All the comedy and sci-fi nods are there, but the movie gets bogged down a little by the plot. Without including spoilers, another love interest of Fry's steps up to the plate, while an invincible intergalactic entity terrorizes the universe by turning everyone into a single concentric cult being. The problems start midway through when there's just too much shipping drama between the antagonist, the villain, and the supporting cast. Futurama is a series of quips, cutaways, and social commentary. It is not a series that focuses on getting bogged down in Emo feels. Beast With a Billion Backs does the later while nearly avoiding the former in the second act. It also is DVD only, which while beautiful in 2007 now looks a little dated. Especially compared to the later two of the four movies, which released on Blu-ray shortly after this came out. Still, the movie is perfectly enjoyable even if it's not relatable. Slightly recommended for casuals. Definitely recommended for series enthusiasts.

As the title says. The show is one of the greatest animated cartoons made, but the case it comes in is terrible and flimsy.

The Futurama movies are a hilarious addition to the series (particularly this one). They tend to be more adult than the shows, but if you're watching Futurama then you're already expecting that

    Movie #2 is great

I was glad to see that this movie continued right where move #1 finished. This movie was funny, weird, and a bit insightful. So many things happened that were unexpected, and yet completely believable. This movie was more serious than the previous in that it focuses a lot more on Fry's love life, but this is not something that should make fans shy away from this movie. This movie will leave you eagerly awaiting the next release!

While this is a good movie, especially if you are a fan of futurama, in my opinion, the first movie is better. it is great that the writers picked up right where the last movie ended, however there seemed to be less originality in this film. there are classic futurama moments and great performances from david cross and the rest of the voice cast. this movie focused more on fry and his relationship troubles. If you are a fan of the franchise you should get this, if not watch the first movie, and if you like that you will not be dissapointed in part 2

If you ever liked Futurama, this is worth picking up. The second full length movie (or four) delivers where the series left off. The humor is still on point and it is some of the best quality animation I have seen. And the special features were more then plenty. As a fan of directors commentary having so many people discussing the details of the move made for an enjoyable second viewing. If you liked the show this should be in your DVD collection. And with plenty of special features (or a one disc movie) it is a lot of humor for the buck.

I really like futurama and this movie, while not up to the standards of the show it's self, is still very good. It's witty and laughable. I'd give it a 2 thumbs up.

I'm a Futurama fan through and through, been waiting for this movie since I finished watching the first one, and it was worth the wait. There are plenty of classic and new jokes throughout and they story is different although it's a little too focused of Fry being lonely. Personally I think the first film is the better of the two but this is still a must see for Futurama fans.

This film does not live up to the Futurama name. I thought Bender's Big Score did a good job of continuing on the series, but this film was too indecisive about whether it wanted to be funny or serious. If you are a serious Futurama fan then this is probably worth watching once, but don't waste your money buying it because very few jokes within it land.
