I was super excited to get this and use it at a gig this weekend. I decided, like more tech enthusiasts, that I should give it a test run before I try it. I go out, get a few cables from my local music shop, Get home and plug 'er in. I try starting with playing my bass guitar and it sounds awful. Fair enough, I think. Maybe it's the frequency I'm using So I change it from the factory default frequency to a completely different group/channel combo. Still sounds like garbage. I switch from the in ears to my amp and it sounds fine. So I try just playing music through it and that sounds worse. It sounds like when you're driving and the radio station you're listening to is about to fade out. I understand that some competitor products like Shure or Sennheiser are 2 or 3 times the cost of this system but even with that in mind, I expected better from this. Guess I get to go back to a wedge monitor this weekend.
