What a ride this has been. I started this series about a month ago, and just finished up with this. The best viewing experience I have ever seen. I will never forget it. Loved every minute of it, and having this gorgeous SteelBook is icing on the cake.

This is the final season of HBO's Game Of Thrones. Love it, hate it, or you're indifferent about it, if you bought the previous seven seasons, you'll probably buy this one. The final 6 episodes of the series are on 3 blu ray discs. The episode "The Long Night" fares a bit better on the blu ray presentation, but it's still darn difficult to figure out exactly what's going on due to the murky dark scenes. Otherwise, the video is pretty sharp and detailed through the other episodes. Audio is encoded in dolby Atmos, but defaults to dolby digital 5.1. Make sure to adjust your audio to benefit from the better track if your system is capable. Only 6 episodes, but 4 exceed an hour in length. If all you want is to see the episodes, buy at a discount if you're able. Takes the price per episode down to a reasonable level. But there is a wealth of supplemental material included, so if you enjoy the extras, it does make the final season on blu ray worth the pickup.

Great price! Best I've seen, even including the shipping price. I love the special edition box, with the steelbook. The magnet was a good surprise added on.

What a beautiful picture and wonderful sound. If you saw season 8 on cable or streaming, you probably remember how dark, muddy and ugly episode 3, "The Long Night" was. Well, not anymore. On UHD 4k and in HDR, this episode looks positively beautiful. No more color banding or washed out colors and muddy blacks. One of the best looking discs I've ever seen. Definitly qualifies as reference material. If you are a fan and have a 4k disc player and TV or projector with HDR you must have this set to really see these episodes as they were meant to be seen. And the sound is amazing too. The Atmos track makes use of all channels, including your overhead channels. My pictures are from my 110" home theatre setup with an Epson 5040 4k projector and white screen. The pictures don't do it justice.

I became addicted to the Game of Thrones, as millions of others have, after watching just the first episode or two. Back when I first started watching the series, I did not have HBO, so I had to wait for the episodes to come out on DVD or Blu-ray Discs. Since I got off to a late start, I think the first two or three seasons were already out. After watching the first three seasons almost nonstop, I told my best friends about it, and soon they were addicted too. There’s something weirdly unique about this TV series. By the time the final season came out, I did have HBO, and was able to watch each episode as it first aired. Some of my friends who got addicted to this series still do not have HBO, so I bought this for them. I won’t give away any spoilers. but I have to say, after watching this series for so many seasons, you feel like it’s become part of the family, and it’s very sad to see it go. But every story has to have an ending. So, there’s no reason for you to read this review. If you’re buying Game of Thrones season eight, it’s because you’ve seen seasons one through seven. And you definitely have to see how it all ends.

Let's just be honest about this series. HBO had just ended their most successful series of all time (The Sopranos) and they needed something new and fresh, when the writers came up with the idea of making this fictional, fantasy-based series. At the time, HBO was just hoping for the best. What they did, was come up with their 2nd best series (my humble opinion) of all time, The Game of Thrones. I understand that quite a few people were completely unhappy with the ending, however, if anyone out there remembers the finale of The Sopranos, that caused just as much controversy, if not more so, than this one did. Keeping that in mind, I loved this series as a whole and was sorry to see it leave the air. In time, everyone, who was invested in The Game of Thrones, will no doubt, remember everything that was great about it over the course of 8 years and won't dwell on just what happened at the end. Do yourselves a favor and buy this blu-ray to complete your collection. If you don't, you will be sorry!

Season 8: You love it or you hate it. It got the lowest IMDB ratings for a season as a whole, mostly because a LOT of viewers thought it was rushed. I tend to agree with that, but I didn't give it the low rating others did. The production values are still top-notch as is the acting from both principals and supporting actors. And the special effects are, of course, out of this world. Literally. Part of that disparity is likely due to the fact that the series had gone beyond George R.R. Martin's books. As far as the order goes, Best Buy once AGAIN delivered EARLIER than promised. How can anyone be annoyed by that! Thanks, guys. (And gals)

This season got slammed by so many fans. It doesn't end the way you expect it to, no matter what you were expecting! That is a result of good writing. Forget all the whiners who didn't get what they wanted. It is what it is and the ending does make sense and is perfectly realistic in the context of the show. Yes, it is bittersweet and many characters meet their end - as should be expected in a series like this. I can only assume the show's producers and writers were carefully following George Martin's storyline as he planned it. Though there are rumors the book's ending might be slightly different? At any rate it is what it is and the production values as well as the acting remain as consistent as ever.

The audio and video quality are up to the same high standards as Seasons 1 thru 7. Packaging same as previous seasons but the earlier seasons provided more detailed material on individual episodes and extra information on characters and family trees etc. The eighth season had fewer episodes; the whole season seemed short and rushed, like HBO just wanted it over. A great series deserved a better finale, not only story wise but package wise as well. Had all the other seasons felt I had to buy this one to complete the series but something of a letdown.

The final season of this incredible series was spectacular and involving as usual. However, the last episode kind of threw me for a loop. I mean it just took a left turn and kind of left me hanging there. I don't want to say what these things are because it might spoil it for some people. I was enthralled and taken aback at the same time. There were some things that should have been resolved a different way. Basically it kind of left me angry. I mean I was thinking that hey! this is not done yet, is that it. The action, the battles, and set pieces are wild, especially what happens at the end, what that Dragon does to the city. It's worth watching.

A lot happened. It was always clear that our heroine was a crazy person and that John Snow was a bit of a wimp. I liked the scene where JS assessed her level of awareness and potential regret before deciding finally what to do. I think that some of the actions of characters were inconsistent with their presentation up to that point and I therefor understand the frustration of some viewers. But overall a great spectacle and some satisfying conclusions to character arcs.

Game of Thrones has been one of my favorite series of all time. I loved it from season 1 episode 1. It kept you on your toes. No character was safe. Season 8 felt rushed and not quite as good. Battles were still amazing. I loved the battle at Winterfell. There were some things that fell short. It's unclear as to why such a big deal was made about Jon Snow being a Targaryn when in the end it did not matter. Cersei Lannister deserved a much more bloody and violent death. Thankfully, Ghost survived it all. Season 8 is still worth watching. I just didn't feel it was up to par with the other seasons

I couldn't wait to get season 8 and the reason I only gave four stars was the fact a rather excessive cost for just six episodes! Other than that enjoyed every minute of it, felt they tied things up at least to my satisfaction, was sad to see some characters die but a few others was delighted and actually sniveled a bit to think it was over! But to quote another reviewer bring on the sequels.

The GAME OF THRONES is possibly the best series I’ve ever seen. I’ve watched the entire series and have never been disappointed. It’s an epic classic of all time. Everything about this series deserves recognition from the film making industry. Top notch acting, and directing. Beautiful location filming and set designs. And some of the most stunning special effects ever seen on film. This series deserves more than 5 stars, it deserves 10 stars.

The eighth and final season of the Game of Thrones attempts to answer the lingering questions about Jon Snow, Dany, Cersi, etc. We thought the third episode was a little over the top with the clash with the White Walkers. Those of you who have seasons 1-7 (like me), should buy this, at least to complete the set. Be forewarn, I believe this is not the best HBO could do, but it could have been worse.

This final season had so much hope and expectation that no matter what they ending was, it still would have fell short. If you are a real fan of the show, you'll enjoy it when you re-watch it over a few times. There are most definitely some answers and hidden gems that you see in a second look. The steelbook is added to the others to complete my collection and this show will be permanently on the list of great shows I had the pleasure of enjoying in my lifetime.

Enjoyed the ending to the series. While panned by a number of TV critics it was interesting and entertaining. One aspect that I thought a bit peculiar was how "reflective" all the characters seemed to become in various dialogues. But maybe that happens in times of great strife.

I know the Game of Thrones Have basically come to in with this being the last series , Some great parts some not great parts but it finishes up the Story line of this great series hopefully that come out with more sideline things That will be made just as good

The long awaited conclusion of HBO's knockout series is finally here. While the conclusion is good, it feels like HBO kind of rushed the ending of the series. Everything is happening so quickly and suddenly. To compound matters, characters are dropping like flies in altogether flimsy ways. I think it would have been better if HBO had stretched the ending by a few more episodes but what done is done.

It was great until it got to the ending!!I wasn't to thrill with him stabbing his aunt!As i watched the whole complete first season of House Of Dragons,now i know where the incest came about.
