Game of Thrones has been one of the most exciting series in recent years, and this season is no exception. This season is especially significant, as it's based on the first half of what many consider the best (or at least most exciting) book yet. Once again, the production values are stellar, with an excellent cast and first-rate streamlining of the massive, sprawling novels. Lots of important events happen, including the one everyone is talking about. The only downside is that, being based on half a novel, it leaves many plot threads dangling, and there's a lack of a sense of completion that previous seasons have, with some characters, such as Oberyn Martell, completely absent (though I'm sure it will be rectified next season). Nudity and violence have always been a part of this show, and while there's as much violence as ever, the nudity seems much less common this time around, particularly when it concerns regulars. Too often, the camera remain at shoulder level when women go topless, or foreground objects will block the best bits. One cast member flat out refused to go naked, and it ruins the scene. Most of the nude scenes this time around are bit players. Still, don't let that ruin your enjoyment, and if you thought the nudity of past seasons was distracting, you'll like the change.

A realm torn by many warring kingdoms trying to lay claim to The Iron Throne! Each professing a legitimate claim...while outside forces plan their ultimate destruction! Where else can you have a sexy Evil sorceress, the Walking Frozen Dead, Giant Guardian Dire Wolves, Wholesale slaughter, Debauchery and Flying Fire Breathing Dragons? Right HERE! This is one awesome, pull-no-punches , thrill a minute- series for the ages!! CAN NOT WAIT FOR THE NEW SEASON!

I am a big fan of this show and a big fan of the book series it is based on. I picked up the books right after season 1 ended and couldn't stop reading them until I finished book 3, this book this one is based on. This show does a wonderful job of adapting all the things that make the book series so wonderful. If you are a fan of the show you will love this season. They have a very interesting and informative special feature regarding the 9th episode plus many other features that flesh the Realm out even further. Pros- Just as well written and acted as ever. Sets, designs, costumes, and locations look and feel just as varied as ever. Cons- I literally can't think of any. Except for each season should be at least one or two episodes longer to fit in more story or each episode should be a little longer. I can't recommend this bluray and series enough to anyone.

The 3rd season of GoT was, by far, the best. The ninth episode of each season is always pivotal, and this season was no exception. The Red Wedding episode is probably the best, most heartbreaking episode of television I've ever seen. The DVD/Blu-ray extras are a lot of fun. Interviews, behind-the-scenes, and special effects are a favorite of mine. The people behind GoT do not disappoint. As usual, the packaging is beautiful, especially the editions sold by Best Buy. Being able to buy a set with one of three house sigils (Lannister, Stark, Targaryen) was a difficult choice, but for those who couldn't choose, there was also the standard packaging. The best part of this deal was the pricing for what you get. I got the DVD/Blu-ray/Digital Copy for $29.99 + tax, and I couldn't be happier.

Brace yourselves, because you won't see it coming. Long have I contemplated whether to read the books (avid reader as well as movie watcher) and season 3 settled it for me. Knowing what happens by reading the books would make looking forward to new season on blu ray each year lose it's appeal. It's how we never know who will be killed next, that sells this series for me. Fantasy setting is only icing on a very tasty cake. Prepare to be amazed by this best so far season 4! Blu Ray edition could do with some extras, save for usual commentaries and backgrounds on some families, but in the end I don't buy those for that purpose, so it's pointless complaint.

Ah yeah this set is so ice cold it gave me freezer burn. What would have made it vanilla ice s if it was the Baratheon cover. Pretty lame that didn't include at least one new cover for the new season. It sucks even more because the Baratheon one is primarily black and would have looked much nicer next to my Targaryen and Greyjoy packaging. I guess it is some consolation that the Stark colors match with the Dragon Shadow standard cover packaged inside. However it would have been the best if they would have used the North Remembers red Stark wolf they used for the PAL exclusive season 1 and 2 bundle collection.

This season covers the first half of book three. It is another great season of GoT despite the fact it wasn't a very heavy action season. This season explored a more in depth look of the characters of the show. The show didn't disappoint as it ended with a nice cliff hangar. As far as features, it was nice of HBO to include a digital copy and DVD(s) just like last season. They should have started it with the first season but that was added much later. I was happy that Bestbuy decided to have the house sigil covers again and I hope they continue to do so till the end of the series.

I'm normally not into fantasy stories like Lord of the Rings. When I first saw the trailer for HBO's TV series, I thought it looked like just that, a Lord of the Rings knockoff. But after hearing several friends talk about how great the show was, I decided to give it a shot and am so glad I did. While the show does have a lot of fantasy elements, it's not overdone and instead it focuses on the characters. I't a very deep, dark and adult oriented story, revolving a lot of polticial entrigue. GIVE THIS SERIES A SHOT! You won't regret it.

One of my favorite series. And I'm far from alone. This show gets better every year so it was a no brainer to add season 3 to my collection. Not only because Best Buy had a great sales price - but because Game of Thrones is one for the ages - and who in their right mind would not own the season that included The Red Wedding? Some brilliant writing, acting and direction. One of the more shocking episodes in the history of TV. An instant classic. If you're a fan of GoT - this is a must buy at Best Buy.

For fans of the television show and of House Stark, this is practically a must buy, as it is the same price of the original artwork box set. Season 3 of Game of Thrones covers the first half of the 3rd book in the A Song of Ice and Fire series by George RR Martin. There's not much to say in terms of the show itself because if you stuck around this far in the series you won't be leaving -- it is consistently entertaining and delivers excellence on screen, not to mention the high production value.

Based on the first half or so of the 3rd book, A Storm of Swords, in the A Song of Ice and Fire series. We witness Daenerys become a slave liberator, Tyrion trying to regain power after his father returns to King's Landing, the toll that the war has on Robb and his troops and Jon's infiltration of the wildlings. Similar to the previous seasons, the 3rd season has it's share of blood, lust and all around shocking moments. If Season 1 left you quivering in your seat, wait until Season 3.

I love GoT and have been a fan for several years. When the TV show started, I was absolutely excited, but skeptical as TV has not had the best track record in the fantasy/SciFi realm when translating books. I was so happy to see how great everything has been. This product is great because it comes with three different formats. I love that because it means I can watch the program wherever I am. The blu-ray features are amazing and I spend hours watching them. Good Job!!!

This whole series to date, has been awesome,Excellent plot, with many twists,the whole cast ensemble is perfect! Great acting! love to hate characters,The writing is impeccable,just great! & in this particular season The Wedding O.M.G.!!! Just nothing like it ,just blows your mind! I dont have HBO So i wait for the blu-ray release, which is a bit of a bummer, but worth the wait because they always deliver!! Very highly recommended!! Did i mention. the Wedding O.M.G.!!!

Game of thrones season three has all your favorite characters pit in a fight for their freedom and their lives. With jon snow living with the wildlings while fighting with himself over his feelings towards yggrite and the vows he swore. Bran finally leaving winterfell and going north of the wall to find the three eyed raven. Not to mention the tragedy that happens in episode nine And the fallout thats to come from that. All this is what is waiting in the next season.

When the new season comes, I go ahead and watch all those before it again. Helps me get back int the whole plot and all the subplots. I learn more each re-watch too. So when the Third Season came out I went back to Season One again to see them all again. The way this is put together is so deep and complex that I wold say anyone who likes this sort of theme would love this show completely. It's simply the best show on TV and hats off to HBO for bringing to us.

If you've somehow managed to be living under a rock for the past 3 years you've somehow missed the Game of Thrones wagon passing you by. Set in the realm of Westeros, this program is the struggle of many families to rule the realm. Great plots, many twists, lots of violence what more can one ask for? Do yourself a favor and def give GoT a spin. Thank you Best Buy for your collectible covers but lets get some of the other families in future releases.

I went into get the latest DVD of Game of Thrones, Season 3 and was faced with making a decision! There were 4 different covers, who knew?! One cover design was available at other places apparently, but then there were 3 more that were exclusive to Best Buy; House of Lannister, House of Targaragyn and House of Stark. Lions, dragons and dire wolves, oh my! It made the whole buying experience fun, if that's possible with a DVD for cryin' out loud.

This show is just awesome, in so many wonderful ways. If you're a fan of the books, the show breathes life into the pages that you're familiar with, but also adds new and exciting elements to keep you on your toes. And if you've never read the books, then all the shocking twists and surprises are just that much more fun to see unfold and enjoy! With each season this show just keeps on getting better and better!

If you haven't watched game of thrones yet, you need to start. No other series combines such superb story, acting, and fantastic realism into one complete package. It's full of political intrigue, complex character development, blood, guys, carnal pleasures, and so much more. The battle for the iron throne continues in this epic season, and a shocking event near the end will leave you speechless. Must see.

Game of thrones is easily one of the best modern tv shows, it has everything expected from a television show. Blood, romance and especially lots of schemes and intrigue. Season 3 was especially good because of a lot of cliff hangers and special moments that just blew my mind away, you should buy this only for the chance to watch episode 9 which is one of the greatest episodes every released in GOT, enjoy!
