Fun popcorn film. And movie arrived earlier than expected.

The plot to this story was an interesting one but I hope Gamer doesn't become the future way of playing video games. It did have lots of violence and action. Watching it in Blu-ray 3D made it even better to watch.

Just like overrated movies tend to not always live up to the hype, unanimously trashed pics aren't always nearly that bad (even if they are, like GAMER, based on a video game). This 2009 sci-fi action flick is one of the latter. Certainly, it's no classic, but it keeps going at fever pitch for practically all of its 95 minutes. The cast is (dare I say?) "game," and includes such familiar faces as Gerard Butler, Michael C. Hall, Terry Crews, and Kyra Sedgwick. Not too shabby, eh? The real star, though, and the only genuine reason to purchase this filmic amusement park ride is the 3-D. The stereoscopic effects are fairly constant and often awesome. If you're a 3-D fanatic like me, you'll definitely want to add this guilty pleasure to your library. Too bad the home vid arms of the studios chose to bail on us third dimension lunatics.

This is a older movie that we had not seen and was delighted when I was able to purchase it from BestBuy at a good price and my wife really enjoyed watching it and am looking forward to watching again anytime we want.

The only conversion I've seen to 3D was Iron Man 3 and for how much time and money that was said to have been spent on that I thought it was sorely lacking. This conversion, on the other hand, was extremely well done. So well done in fact, that I'm quite certain I wouldn't have known it was a conversion if I didn't know that the movie wasn't filmed in 3D. The movie itself is great for gamers, hence the title. A lot of subtle references to things that gamers are familiar with. On the other hand, it is very gritty and violent and everyone should know that going in. Not exactly a light hearted movie, but good entertainment nonetheless.

A good movie in 3D for adults. My wife and I loved it.

Aside from a nausea or headache-inducing opening sequence in 3D (native 3D movies are never shot with ultra-fast camera cuts), this post-release conversion to 3D was decent. Definitely not native, but not the worst conversion either. But the issue is that the movie itself is not great, even for those who enjoy video games. And for some people, be forewarned that there are scenes intended to be disturbing. Not a movie with high replay value. The 3D did make the story slightly more engaging than my initial 2D viewing, but not a "world" I'd prefer to experience for long. Movie tries hard to make a point, but in the end a bland action movie with a bad aftertaste.

Not a digital copy per say. You get a disc that is called the digital copy that you can download on itunes but not VUDU. This should have been clear and I wouldn't have purchased it. I guess I can pay and additional amount and get it on VUDU but then why not just buy it there in the first place. Movie itself is ok. Not a kids movie.

GAMER is a fun action flick about a guy that is actually playing in an online video game. The 3D does enhance the movie, but it doesn't make the movie a "must see." If you want a fun action flick that you don't have to think about too much, watch GAMER.

I bought it to add to my collection. I've seen it a long time on VHS I think but, I can't remember. I'm reviewing this for the best price I got from Best Buy. You can't beat the price and can't lose. So, thank you!

The 3d is impressive in this movie. It is sad that 3d movies are going by the wayside.

I don't need much of an excuse to stare at Gerard Butler but he is once again pretty stellar in this flick. The idea behind the plot is really dark if you think about it but the delivery is well done.

Rented this a long time ago and decided it was time to buy. Honestly, this movie was not what I expected at all. Michael C Hall was brilliant as an antagonist. Totally worth the price.

I saw this movie in the five dollar section and purchased. It was worth that and more. It must be newly packaged as it came with ultraviolet. Acting is so-so but the action is great.

If you saw this movie in regular format, you need to see it in 3D. Gave it 4 stars for the graphics and visuals. if you are simply looking for action and graphics than it is a 5 star

Solid movie. Felt ahead of its time back when it came out. Still a good one. 3D adds to it.

I owned the original blu ray release of this movie plus I seen it in theaters when it was first released so I had to check out this new 3D version & I wasn't disappointed!

Movie has violence with a lot of action. There are some points that younger people should not view. Some of the gamer action seem somewhat unreal. Overall the movie is good.
