A nice affordable set for Kaiju lovers. If you haven't picked up any of the Gamera releases yet on blu ray, I'd recommend this.

Gamera 1-8 Gamera is like the off-brand version of Godzilla. Despite Gamera looking scary, These movies are about as kid-friendly as the Godzilla movies of the 60's and 70's. I never found the kid-friendly Godzilla movies to be all that great. With that being said, I wasn't too into this series. Though, I found that the gore scenes were pretty amusing, seeing as these came across as kids movies. If you are a fan of the Godzilla movies, from the 60's and 70', I think you owe it to yourself to check this series out too. Gamera (reboot) 1-3 Gamera is like the off-brand version of Godzilla. Despite that, TOHO, the company that owns the rights to Godzilla, bought the rights to Gamera and came out with this trilogy. I found these Gamera movies to be MUCH better than the original Gamera movie series. If you are a fan of the Godzilla movies, from the 1990's and 2000's, I think you owe it to yourself to check this trilogy out too. It is great that you can have 11 movies, all in one case, to save space on your movie shelf. However, it's too bad that this set does not include "Gamera the Brave" from 2006.

This box set includes all eleven Gamera movies in one excellent collection. The movies are all in beautiful condition especially considering their age and the fact that these were somehat Japanese B movies. If you are a fan of Gamera or just a diakaiju fan, this is a must own set.
