Great little dashcam for the price. The cable included was super long, making it easy to hide the wires on the installation. Comes with 2 stick mounts to glass. Does not come with an SD card but that isn't a dealbreaker. 1080p quality is enough for me, but some people may want to look for 4k options. The app is not very good at retrieving footage on your phone. It works, but takes forever. I would suggest just waiting home and downloading the footage to a computer. You can do that with the other cable included.

Great dash cam! I love the small footprint, but the quality isn't amazing. Another car's license plate is only viewable if the car is really close. Same as Garmin Mini 3

Good video quality for 1080p (believe it uses higher bitrate encoding then comparably priced cams). Love the form factor, simplicity of use, voice activation features, and ability to multicam. 140 degree angle of view is sufficient and not overly fisheyed compared to 180 AOV. Build quality feels good but time will tell obviously. App is just okay with both BT and WiFi (2.4ghz only, boo!) connections occasionally finicky. Settings apply quickly but media transfer rates can be slow wireless (just eject card and transfer/edit elsewhere or connect cam to tablet/laptop/PC with cable). Optional/additional cost polarizing filter helps with the glare but is too expensive for what it is and should really be included on lens of unit “stock”. Picked up another one elsewhere to use for rear view and multicam them.

I like the size of this dash cam, and that’s the only reason I chose it. I didn’t need a screen on the cam and I prefer minimal obstructions to my vision while driving. The app isn’t too bad to navigate but uploading videos to my phone has been cumbersome and frustrating. Trimming from the start of the video is hard to get ahold of and always wants to drag the screen back to the vault and I have yet to actually upload any of the numerous videos I’ve tried to put on my phone because it takes forever and the cam’s wifi has always dropped out before finishing. I wish I could just connect it direct to my device with a cable. This is my first dash cam so I don’t have anything to compare it to but I can tell I’ll be returning this within the week if I don’t figure out a better way.

There is some Drive App troubleshooting located here, https://bit.ly/3941GGw. Should you wish to pull the SD card from the dash cam you can also view the videos on a device such as a computer?

I use this in the back window of my minivan to get tailgaters to stop following me closely. It works. As soon as tailgaters see that there is a dash cam facing them they either drive around me or they don’t get too close to me anymore.

This dash cam is small and easy to locate without interfering with sightlines. Typical Garmin quality. My problem was connections. I wanted to check the real-time dash cam video periodically, and the Bluetooth link to my phone was problematic. With a streaming sound system on board as well as a OBDC connector also using Bluetooth, there was too much contention for fast connection & response by the dash cam. I decided I would do better with a traditional unit that had a small real-time display. Recommended for someone who wants to set-and-forget, trusting that video was recording properly if needed. I found I prefer more regular feedback.

So far no issues. Too soon to qualify. I really like the size. Formatting the SD card was frustrating but it finally happened, not sure why it took so many attempts. Installation couldn't be simpler, peel and stick. Watch where you place it as the red light could be very annoying if not hidden by your mirror.

Perfect small camera that doesn't get in the way. Easy to install and set up through the Garmin Drive App. Only downside is the beeping that the camera does when activating. It is very apparent when looking back at the footage.

Simple to install, great voice command features. It's not great in low light conditions. The mobile app is annoying to setup when syncing Bluetooth. I wish it was type C, besides that, image quality is decent enough to read license plates about 20ft ahead.

I have the 1st mini dashcam and I was pretty happy with it so I’ve decided to replace my husbands old dashcam with the mini 2. The videos are clear and simple to use. My only issue is it takes several tries to connect to the dashcam to do a live view. Other than this aggravation it’s an affordable device everyone should have in their vehicle. Hopefully a future update will resolve the issue I have.

Video quality isn't the best, but it's good enough to see what's happening, especially if all you need is just evidence that an accident wasn't your fault. If that's all you need, it's worth it.
It's small size also makes it easy to install & remove, especially if you travel often and use rental cars. However, the suction cup mount is sold separately and can take a while to get shipped to you.

Easy to install, unobtrusive, worked great with my iPhone 12 Pro. I didn't want a cam with a screen, so this was the perfect fit. At some point about 8 months after purchase, it stopped working. It kept flashing the green light, which I Googled and understood to mean it was stuck booting and never started up. I don't know if I had a bad firmware update, the harsh winter got to it, or who knows. All that said, I might still replace it with the same model + an extended warranty. I don't trust its longevity but it has enough good features at this price to be OK.

Great Tiny Dash Cam - Garmin Dash Cam Mini 2

I am delighted with the Garmin Dash Cam Mini. It is tiny and inconspicuous. I also bought the Garmin Dash Cam 57 for my front windshield. The two cameras work well together, and there was very little configuration. I had the Best Buy Tech Dept install both cameras. They did an excellent job, and they were fast.

Garmin Mini 2
Got around to installing it after a few months. Not impressed so far.
First morning after install, started the car, no lights, no noise. Didn't mess with it as running late. After my appointment, started car and it beeped and got a light. Pulled the card at home, verified no video of the 1st hour driving, but there is video after that. Quality seems acceptable but this is my first dashcam. Wish I knew a way to keep reflections off the dashboard from spoiling the video quality.
Expected it to just connect to phone app each time I got in the car, but can't get it to connect without a power cycle each time.
Flashing lights seem random and don't fit the manual explanations... blinks red mostly.
Would probably choose a different brand if I had it to do over.

Great first camera!
When I was beginning my search for a dash camera, I was worried I'd have an eye sore until I found this camera.
Super discreet. I don't mind the beeping. To me, it helps assure me that the camera is working before I start driving somewhere. The voice controls are super convenient and I have already used them a couple times! I was so impressed with the first one, I got two more for my commuter and my wife's vehicle. I love the assurance I get knowing I have something to help prove my case in the event something bad happens while driving.
Overall, I highly recommend it!
