the garmin driveassist 50lmt is a great device..the onboard dashcam is really handy..clean crisp video,I added a 32 gb card and record several days of trips. ON a recent trip through atlanta the garmin kept me in the correct lanes and made the trip smoothly through the city. the price was cheaper than most dash cams alone..good purchase!

We mounted this GPS to our dash and it has run circles around the Tom-Tom unit that cam with our Ram Promaster.. The voice recognition is decent but not perfect. Sometimes it hears where we want to go and gives us the correct directions. Other times we think it needs a hearing aide..The more obscure the location you are going to, the less likely it will find it. Needles to say most of the National Forest and National Park Campgrounds are not included. It does well at finding gas stations once we realized how to tell it to look on our route rather than anywhere around us. Lane departure and forward collision features work well and are welcome addition on our travels. The software to do system upgrades balked the first few times I tried to upgrade but it eventually worked. It deleted all of the voice files on the the first update and I had to reinstall them. Check after an update to see if your GPS is still talking to you. It seems they don't put enough factory memory in so you will need to buy additional memory for it. Interested in our travels? This unit far exceeds my expectation. Purchased this unit because my in dash GPS works when it wants to. Decided to purchase this Garmin. This unit was a good choice. It out preforms my friends GPS's hands down, and the built-in camera is awesome. Got it on sale and was price matched, what a bargain. Easy to use. I'm loving my new GPS!!!!

I have been looking for a dash cam for a while now and I have been looking at other types of cameras. I couldn't find what I wanted. Then I saw this one and started reading other reviews on it. I honestly did not need the maps option until I got it I realized that I use the maps option a lot. The Dash Cam works great I put a large memory card on it and the first day I had it up I witnessed a accident right in front of me. I used it on my trip from Oklahoma to Florida. Yes it does not have night vision you can see pretty good with your lights and its not bad. It serves the purpose at night if I get in a wreck it will show what is in front of me. The hands free option works pretty cool. I started using it the last two weeks. Yes it is a little on the high side on price but worth it in my opinion.

The quality is great on the video and the traffic alert is very convenient. I love it.

The directions on the GPS is spot on and the camera used for recording is very helpful in case of accidents, where you have been and where you are going. You can also download to your computer for archiving and future reference. Would highly recommend!

Gps is extremely user friendly. Having the built in camera gives the extra comfort just Incase you do find yourself in a situation where it's needed.

This is my 2nd one. The 1st one was a birthday gift years ago. I love this one even better. It give you warning if you are to close or over the side line, too close to the car in front, traffic moving, etc.... love it!

I like it. Acurate and helpful when driving too close to the vehicle in front. It should do the same or give a warning when changing lanes to avoid a collision. But overall this product worth the money.

This was very useful during our trip with the on board camera we was able to capture alote of oyr trip that we thought we had missed it also kept up with the directions we needed i woyld recomend it to every one

This is my second purchase of the DriveAssist 50.lmt The first one was defective had to returned it. I'm please with this unit. The GPS, the recording camera, everything works like it supposed to. Easy to setup. A++++

I've had several GPS units over the years and also use the Waze app on my phone but this is my favorite GPS. The unit has tons of features including a very clear built in dashcam, forward collision warning when you get too close to the car in front of you, lane departure warning for when you start to veer out of your lane and even a warning to let you know there is a sharp curve coming approaching. There is also an alert to let you know about upcoming red light cameras and a "Go alert" to notify you when stopped traffic in front of you starts to move (like when stopped at a light). I keep finding things to like about this unit. The 5" screen is the perfect size to view without being too big. Overall a really nice GPS unit!

Easy and intuitive device that really adds a level of security , safety and confidence to ones driving. My only wish is if the units screen was larger ...however still, recommended highly.

The quality of the recording video is amazing. If anyone hits my car I can easily read a license plate. The GPS on this works well also. I love the fact that it tells me when the speed limit is changing.

I am a Garmin fan. This is my second Garmin and it works great! The bluetooth is outstanding, calls are clear and the built-in microphone does an excellent job. Conversations are just like being in the room with the other person. It's other features, particularly the safety features are in themselves the best reason to own this particular model--it is too easy to be distracted, this helps keep the driver alert and steady. Also think the apps feature is a real benefit--like to know weather in an area that I'm traveling in as well as the traffic situation. Car manufacturers should ALL be using Garmin GPS' like this. Certainly is 100 times better than the one in my 2017 Honda HR-V!

I am loving this GPS, plus dash cam! It has very clear directional navigation and records very good video. It's easy to figure out and gives lots of options. Thank you Garmin for a great product!

Great device. The camera is a great tool to keep you alert with lane guidance. Read other reviews for more info one cool thing i just found while using in a rental car. When i entered rental car location in Gps before starting it asked "do you need gas before returning?" I said "yes" and it showed me fas stations along route. Ialso use the Smart link app constantly, being able to look up a restaurant then sending to gps is worth the purchase price.

Love this GPS/camera! Garmin is the best! User friendly and the suction cup that mounts to the windshield is awesome! Had the unit almost a month and has never fallen off windshield!

This GPS is easy to use, except for downloading and viewing the dashcam files. So far it has worked well on our trip and the dashcam has recorded clear pictures.

It's a good size, great quality videos. The added features of going over yellow lines, traffic is moving are all great features.
