Excellent Watch. The fitness metrics have been great. Love the battery life. Having transitioned from a very old Apple Watch that required charging everyday, twice a day if I wanted to wear it over night, the 18 days of battery life has been incredible. While I do miss the ability to send text messages from my watch or make and receive phone calls on the watch, the other factors have overshadowed those drawbacks.

This watch has saved me a lot of trouble when having to track my workouts during work. I’m a wildland firefighter so it’s convenient all around. It’s durable and the battery lasts a long time. Perfect for when I’m out there multiple days.

Once I figured out the watch it is very easy to use and battery life is good. I think it is pretty neat to be able to create my own clock face with photos and watch faces that are stored in the clock. The fitness timer works well and I have used the flash light several times. Over all, Garmin did a good job.

When it comes down to this Garmin if you want an instinct, you get the regular non OLED. If you basically want a tougher venue watch then get the OLED. I don't need the super long battery life of the non OLED model. Not that this one's a slouch. I get 7 days of always on display. Certainly if I was not trying to flex 24/7. I do the gesture wake but it's just a preference.

I used to be Garmin regular user, but switched to Apple watch 10. But realized i dont need so much functionality offered by Apple watch - which also makes its battery life fractional of any Garmin. Now i am back with this Garmin, and boy, its such a delightful experience. It has about 18 days of battery on full charge, I’ve probably charged ot twice since getting it. And the feature set is what I mostly need, in terms of workouts, notifications etc. Will definitely recommend!

My husband has always been an athlete. Much to our and his Dr. surprise, he suffered a full arrest heart attack in December 2023. The great news is he was given CPR and brought back with 3 shocks from AED. His heart damage is minimal. He had been using just a basic tracker prior. We decided to upgrade him to this watch and keep a closer eye on things. This watch has given me and him a little more peace of mind as he is back to his regular high activity! Its also very sporty, bright face makes it easy to read. Switch out the silicone band for a cloth band. He loves it!

I've had a handful of health trackers and this by far is the best one and I hope it last is a long time. Not only that but the employee Harry that helped me was awesome. Someone had coincidentally ordered the exact same item from the store while I was there and he was able to secure the last one for me and have the warehouse cancel that other order. I was kind of on the fence between this and the Solar but they did not have the Solar in stock and I would have been very disappointed if I had left empty handed. The in store experience at some places can be hit or miss now days but depending on the employee it can still be a good experience.

I bought this for my brother as a birthday gift and he loves it. Very durable, the battery lasts long. He was tired of the Apple Watch and wanted to try this

I made the switch from the Apple Watch Ultra to the Garmin Instinct 3 GPS Smartwatch (45 mm AMOLED, Black), and I couldn’t be happier. The build feels rugged yet sleek, and the AMOLED screen is vibrant and clear even under bright sunlight. Battery life easily lasts me several days of heavy use — something the Ultra never quite delivered. I love the robust activity tracking (running, workouts, swimming, hiking) and navigation features. The GPS is precise, and the maps/data are handy in real-world use. Notifications, heart rate, sleep tracking all work flawlessly and sync well with my phone. It’s lighter, more durable, and just feels more purpose-built than the Ultra ever did. If you’re looking for a high-end smartwatch that excels in fitness and daily use, this Garmin is a home run.

Coming from Fitbits battery life that I liked, I then went to Samsung where I was sick.and tired of having to charge it every single day. I was going to get this watch in the solor but honestly, 16days on a charge and you get the cool screen, yea sold. Couldnt be happier and will never go back to anything else.
