I bought this and was advised by the staff it was a good unit. But when I got it home and went through the box, the mounting bracket was missing. I went back to best buy to explain this and they basically blew me off. Instead of getting one out of another box. Very disappointing with Best buy and wont deal with the any more. The product works great.

The Garmin is great for long trips, but when driving around town, I still find myself referring to my phone. There have been a few occasions where Google Maps on my phone has has been more useful to me because the Garmin didn't recognize the address I entered. This was quite frustrating. Even with these issues, I still find the Garmin to be very useful and the navigation is clear and easy to use.

This GPS has some great new features and upgrades over my old Garmin. The voice guidance now gives directions far enough ahead so that you can make turns at the proper locations. Big screen size with good clarity and color rendition. Free lifetime map upgrades are a major plus.

This was a replacment for my Tom Tom. It has good features and it does the job.

The Garmin plus the All Europe card worked very well. Clear directions with plenty of time to execute them. The speed limits and rest stop info was also helpful. The no toll roads option got you out into the country side and onto some one lane roads. Nice way to see Normandy, Beaune, Provance, and the French Alps, if you have the time. When you want a toll road, it found an entrance quickly. Only problem was getting to our vacation house near Malaucene...the GPS coordinates associated with Clos St. Michele took us to a remote spot about 13 KM from the actual location. Easy correction was to just reprogram it for Malaucene and then follow the on screen map to the house. Overall very helpful. Would be nice to be able to change the voice...she gets a little boring after awhile.

I love the hands free voice command feature. I also like the screen display and the fact that the unit tells me to turn at next light or intersection as opposed to the name of the street. My other unit did not have those features. The only thing that would need improvement is the traffic feature. I know it is a feed but the unit does not seem to pick up on delays as quickly as my other unit did.

I bought this as a gift and have used it a few times myself. If you're familiar with other Garmin products, it's easy to figure out the subtle changes in this newer model. It has free lifetime map upgrades, gives traffic updates, and you can give verbal commands while you're driving. I like it so much better than the other Garmin I have!!

I would suggest that anyone who is going to buy a gps, buy one with lifetime traffic. Was taking a trip to Florida and it saved me at least an hour due to a highway shutdown that I was alerted to. My opinion is to spend the extra cash to get one with lifetime traffic updates!

Thus is my second Garmin GPS (it was time to upgrade). This was a great value for my money, it has so many great features. My favorites are; on screen speed limits, voice activation, and the screen size. I highly recommend it!

Bought 3 for our work trucks. Works great and easy to use.

We are extremely glad we paid the extra $50 to get this GPS with the voice command. It is so easy to use and the hands free allows you to keep your eyes on the road. My wife recently traveled out of state alone; the main reason we upgraded to this unit before her travels. "Marge", yes we named the GPS, helped her navigate the route and find "the nearest Dunkin Donuts" for a coffee stop, all hands free. The split screen for exiting the highway keeps you in the correct lane and allows worry free driving. We have not yet downloaded the app so the iphone can interact with the GPS so I don't know anything about that feature yet.

I returned the first one after 10days it was not working properly. The second one is fine so far works great! I was in Detroit and I can say the service at the store I returned to was not very great in Farmington the attitude that I felt was that the employes just didn't need to be bothered. The Novi store was helpful but out of the product. The original purchase in Rocheater help Was great

This GPS is very useful and the touch screen is sensitive enough to respond to commands without too much work. The Bluetooth is excellent for a smart phone The only draw back is the voice recognition system. I couldn't give a voice command and have it understood correctly. Other than that its a good buy.

At first was not thrilled with the new Garmin 2597 (purchased to replace an older Garmin which was approx. 5 yrs old), as it did not seem very user friendly. However, upon learning the updates to enter a destination address . . . and to save it, am now very pleased. Have not had to update the maps yet, but was easy to place the app on the desktop of my computer for use when needed.

Ive been using mine for over 2 and half years now and its still going strong, i keep updating it and its working just fine. This GPS is in my other vehicle now that we just recently upgraded to a Drive 60 in our trip vehicle, but i still use this GPS in my work vehicle as i said its working just fine still.

Does everything i want in a GPS. Easy to use and operate.

It is an awesome gps I have used so far amazing features!

Just plug it into the power source in a matter of a few taps and searches you can start using the device to locate where you need to go. Gas stations, and food are a breeze. Also the Bluetooth purchased hooked up to both phones easily and allows for easy access and no need to keep phone to my ear so hands are free and head is not restricted.
