I bought this to replace a 5 year Garmin and I am very impressed with the advancements that were made in those 5 years. this GPS is quicker and very accurate.

I've owned quite a few navigations in the past, but this one is by far the most advanced and accurate. I love the traffic feature, it's saved me a lot of time.

This is easily programed by voice commands or by touch screen.. The display is easy to see and read. Spoken directions are clear and easy to understand. Gives traffic when you are in an available area. As I mentioned above I wish it would just tell me about traffic when there is an issue. I don't need to repeatedly be told it is light on my route. This is however a very minor issue. I highly recommend this unit.

This item was purchase for our son for Christmas and he really enjoys how easy it is to used, much easier on long trips rather than using phone navigation!

I am very happy with the Garmin Nuvi 2597. It is very easy to program and provides clear and precise directions. The screen is clear and easily visible day or night.

I do not like having to use the factory cable and plug if I want traffic information. When I arrive at a destination and then want to leave to go to another appointment, the Garmin takes me on a round about drive that adds on to drive time. I have used it to go to known locations and it takes me on longer routes. Also it has problems recalibrating if you go off its planned rout. Sometimes this is required if the road your on is closed, or construction, accidents etc. It does get you to your destination though or at least so far.

Garmin GPS with lifetime maps and traffic is essential gift for new driver. It helps driver know what lane he needs to be in while there is still time to get there. This is easy to use and easy to see as it is 5 inch size.

Many great features but really like the Bluetooth that connects to my i phone. Also love the voice command that lets me speak instead of type an address

Purchased for my wife, when her old device died after several years of service. Traffic is a life saver when you spend lots of time in the car. Two thumbs up!

Needed a GPS that my mother could use - she's not overly "tech-savvy". She has already used it during a trip tfrom Indiana to New York, and said it was great!

It‘s a good price for GPS which is very very useful, it can tell me which lan I should stay and can change course when there is an accident or traffic jam

I bought this as I needed a GPS for my truck. I also wanted a rear view camera. I purchased the Garmin Bluetooth camera to go with this. Works great!!!

This is my 2nd Garmin GPS - my 1st one lasted for over 10 years! So far this one has been working great. I plan on using it for a cross country trip soon!

Bought this Garmin for my wife who travels a lot for work and she loves it. Great purchase and would highly recommend to others.

It is a little limited on voice command topics and takes a little time to figure out how to get what you want out of it, but it got me across country 2300 miles with no problems.

Simple to use, but charging it in the car is difficult with the charger provided. Need to adapt it to the car while it should have been ready to go. We had to finish the trip without it.

I had a Magellan that die. I like using a GPS on long trips. Went online to research & decided on Garmin 2597lmt. I am SOOOO HAPPY I chose this one. This has voice commands. No need to have the wife lookup POI. It took sometime to do the 1st update. Make sure you time to update your unit. Not sure about the traffic. At one point of the trip we slow down because of traffic Garmin did not show any problem. Waze showed the problem. I do have a smart phone but like the GPS better. Have not used the Bluetooth yet. Pros: Quick recalculations, lane guidance and voice commands. Cons: Slow downloads of updates, paid extra for dash mount.

The Garmin GPS i purchased from Best Buy works great especially the voice command, no typing the required address in, just speak an you response appears

Replaced a 5 yr old nuvi that died. This lasted for an hour before quitting. A call to Garmin had me resetting the unit and some other things in hidden menus (I should have written those down because they were very cool) and no luck The CSR suggested downloading latest firmware once I got to somewhere where I could connect my computer and had a fast internet connection. That did the trick. The voice recognition is very good and the display very easy to read.

It's very easy to use and also recalculates very fast.
