Works good.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased for trip. Used for a week at home in Michigan then flew to Vancouver Brtish Columbia. Rented a car and used all around the city, went up to Whistler then went to Vancouver Island by ferry . It worked perfectly. Tells what lane you need to be in and even knows about banks or business on corners to turn at. I purchased a competitors brand first because the Garmin wasn't in stock and it couldn't even find my house which has been here in MI for over a 100 years.

Great GPS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like all the features however the speed limits aren't always correct. It is fine if it shows you a lower speed limit but not so good if it shows you a faster speed limit. Still haven't figured out how to save places I want to return to but I like the traffic updates and the voice commands (though sometimes I have to 'yell'). The other thing that frustrated me was that it would not distinguish between Pizza Hut and Pizza Hut Express. I wanted to go in Pizza Hut and sit down and there were many in the area but they were all Expresses and just carry out.

Insufficient user documentation.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was disappointed that the product did not include "hard copy" of the user documentation., I have another Garmin product, and found this unit to be quite different and less intuitive. Good price for the money. I did not find a compatible "mount" for the unit, so I must order one from Garmin.

Great for traveling
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had a garmin that was about 4 years old and after a trip to Texas decided to upgrade. WOW! What a difference! The visual of the road ahead is great and the instructions are so much clearer. The keyboard is now QUERTY instead of alpha which helps when entering an address. It shows the speed limit, but i have noticed that it is not always accurate, but a nice little feature to see. It did tell me about a wreck that happened, and I had time to get off the highway and re-route to avoided the 2 mile traffic jam. We have been using it for about a month now, and both my husband and I are very happy with the purchase.

Great large screen GPS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Used this to replace a lost previous generation Garmin. This has all the same features, plus a couple others. The phone sync via bluetooth is nice, though when you send a location from phone to GPS it sends coordinates not address. Not usually a big deal, but I'd rather it sent the actual address (easier to lookup later, save, etc). Also the traffic is nice. It works, but there isn't the indicator like previous gen models had so you knew it had a sync on traffic. You also have to tell it to auto-reroute you. By default it just notifies and then you have to pick to reroute. All in all I'm happy with the new unit. Just takes a little time to get used to the new layout and feature set.

ok for a gps
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Never used a gps before. Had difficulty with addresses and didn't like the routing. I will update it again to see if it helps. I'm old school and would rather use a map. Traffic updates were helpful. It was helpful with finding parking.

Good Value Great features love the Bluetooth
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good looking GPS I have had 2 other Garmin GPS units this is the nicest one i have had by far. I bought for my wife the one I had bought before over 5 years ago had started to stop charging which is what happened to the first one i had so I thought I would get her a new one for an anniversary present. She has an older truck which does not have Bluetooth and she likes that feature which I have in my new company truck as do i. So once we got it set up and connected to her i-phone 6s it works great and she loves the bluetooth and this one comes with free lifetime updates I would recommend it to anyone who needs a good reliable GPS. Well worth the price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lifetime maps is a huge plus. Also this GPS displays the street you are currently on, which a lot of them do not do. Updating the maps is easy, you just download the software and plug it in to your PC.

Great Garmin for travel.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We upgraded to the Garmin - nvi 2597LMT - 5" and have loved it. The spoken directions with lane assist makes getting to a destination much easier. I also like the fact that it gives specific landmarks, street names, and stoplights to limit turning errors.

Great GPS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my third Garmin GPS and I love it. The only reason I did not give the GPS a five star rating is because when I talk hands free through the GPS the other parties say they can not hear me clearly. I hear them perfectly. I would highly recommend this product and I would purchase it again.

Great Navigation Gear
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an older model for years and just kept buying map update SD cards and finally decided to upgrade the unit. Great Device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used Tom Tom for years but needed a new device as mine would no longer update maps due to the size of the maps. I decided to try the Garmin after recommendation of the salesman. It took a day or so to learn the details but now I'm extremely pleased.

Good GPS for the money.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like everything about it except for the traffic feature. It has yet to pick up any traffic even when one day I was on 94 going to 694 and there was a two-mile back up and it said nothing about it. Otherwise it works great.

Easy to set up and use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The garmin navigator was so easy to set up with easy simple instructions. The maps are up to date and routes can be set to avoid secondary roads or toll roads. One handy feature is the food ,lodging and gas icons in maps!! A great buy for the money...

Great GPS, Voice control is the best.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Garmin GPS is a replacement for my old Garmin. Has the same features as the old one but a great many more added. Voice control and renewable maps (without cost) are the two best features I like most. You can't go wrong with this gadget and the price.

Works in Mexico
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a Garmin specifically because it had maps for Monterrey Mexico. The maps were surprisingly accurate. The GPS has a Spanish voice, but it doesn't say the street names at all. The English voice totally mispronounces the street names which makes looking at the GPS necessary in heavy traffic. The search feature is a bit clunky, but not too bad. When driving, the GPS lacks an indicator for missed turns and rerouting (my Magellan has this feature). This feature would be nice for the very complex traffic patterns in Mexican cities because there are several overlapping streets, hidden turn-offs, and merging lanes. It's easy to miss a turn and not realize it.

Works nice, but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My newly purchased Garmin works great except for the voice command feature. No matter how slowly and distinctly I speak it doesn't seem to understand and comes up with some completely different address and then I have to type it in. This is not as convenient when you are driving.
