This was a nice upgrade from our previous Garmin. Nice details and updated maps. Certain voices that were on older Garmin models are not present on this Garmin model; you must download the voices from Garmin.com

I downloaded a roller coaster car and the squirrelly voice! You can't be mad when a squirrel is telling you jokes and your vehicle is raising its arms like its on a roller coaster!

I had one of the older models (2010ish) and I was not too impressed with the touch sensitivity. You had to really mash the screen to get it to register. This one is really responsive! I like that it can do predictive text, if I type the first part of a business name or address it automatically pulls up suggestions. This is a huge improvement from the older address system. The only flaw is the update process. The recommended way does not work. The Garmin Express app is awful. I had to Google an alternative way to download updates. Doing it this way was the only way to get the new map update. The express app will say it is downloading for hours and hours and never finish. I left it running overnight and it didnt budge. Other than the update process it is a great device.

our older garmin had trouble with the battery charger adequately charging the unit. the garmin tech support people were very helpful in analyzing our problem and recommending possible solutions. we are looking forward to down loading european maps and using the unit in scandanavia this summer. we have saved untold hours by not getting lost in unfamiliar, highly populated, and busy cities.. unit is terrific.

I Have owned 3 GPS's over the years and this one is the best. it is easy to update the maps and dose everything it was advertized to do

Love the voice command feature, lane guidance, free map & traffiic updates. We use this for travel soccer and basketball tournaments

This GPS is the best I have used. With the new road laws in place, the voice activation feature is a must for a person like me who gets lost very easily. Highly recommend this product.

This is a replacement for our last Garmin (at least 4th in a series). It was a pleasant surprise to see how they updated and added lots of new features. Takes a little getting used some of the new things, but it makes the features of the Garmin easier to use. A larger screen than the last one makes it easier to see. We're looking forward to getting free map updates.

We replaced an older model and this one is so much better. The directions are clearer and this one is suppose to give traffic reports although we have not had a chance to try it out.

Needed a new GPS for an 800 mile trip to visit my daughter on the Gulf coast. The Garmin took me right to her front door and even told me how to avoid traffic jams on the interstate.

Great unit, I used it on a resent 4000 mi trip. Don't know how I would have made this trip without using this GPS. Very easy to follow directions. easy to find out what is ahead on the road, like gas and food. I also used it to find lodging while using the connection through the GPS and my phone. This unit saved it's cost in hotel saving and ease of traveling.

Outstanding product for the money with lots of bells and whistles! I like the split screen when a split route is up ahead. Also the bluetooth option with my phone is a plus, along with all the apps available. The battery life is good for about 3 hours without being plugged into a power supply. The only negative is It would be nice to star different destinations like google maps and see them on a map.

Much better than the TomTom that I used to use. I went to this after using a TomTom for about 5 years and it seems much faster. Receives satellite signals much quicker as well.

The voice and screen are very clear. Takes a few hours to upgrade initially. Haven't figured out how to change the voice on it to one of the ones I downloaded. But overall I love it!

recently used the garmin on a trip to HHI from Cleveland. was helpful to find restaurants and alerted us to specific construction areas.

I bought this for my wife to replace one that she's had for about seven years. She loves it. It is more intuitive, provides more clarity at difficult intersections through a split screen, and the voice recognition system is superior to my own car's system. The system comes with lifetime map updates and also has traffic information, which the earlier system didn't. This is a serious upgrade that has been worth every dime.

I had to replace an older gps and this model is was a step up. The only reason i gave it 4 stars and not 5 is when typing an address in that is not in your state area is seems to take too long to find it.

I bought one for my use. I liked it so much that when my son asked for a GPS as a gift, I got him the same one. He likes his as much as I like mine. It is a very good product.

Great product for the price. Love the voice recognition, great enhancement for complete hands free driving. Well worth the money.

My 6 year old Nuvi 260W still works great but it was time to upgrade. This new one has several newer features that are great. The best is the traffic updates. It really helps in the Seattle freeway mess. Now if the politicians can figure out how to solve the traffic mess we have around here.
